Looking good man. I have worked a lot of rooms that use gavita HPS's, Never seen their LED's though. The site I am posting my diary of now used them before swapping over to LED. I love Under current I built my own 2 systems back in 2013 when I was medically producing for myself. I used 8 5 gal buckets and uni-seals & had 2 8 plant systems under 4 HPS lights. I think my videos are still on youtube. If you get the time check out my 200 light LED 7,000 plant diary & follow my profile. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Keep it up man, Happy growing!
@Phineous, The things I found with my undercurrent systems that made them easier were having monitoring devices always into the reservoirs of each system. I had something similar to the bluelab pulse that dropped down in and whenever I walked into the room I could see exactly what the systems were at. Also, I found it only needed to change out the reservoir maybe 2 times 3 times each grow. The biggest thing you need to watch out for is absurd root development. My last grow in my systems my plants did not even finish properly because I vegged to long still being used to soil. The roots took over the entire system down the pipes and everything and water could BARELY get through. The crop yielded very poorly and it was a nasty mess to clean up. So be aware of that fact and considerate of your veg period. Also make sure they are drinking enough water to yield well. A lot of people do not know this fact but a cannabis plant requires 3 gallons of water every day to produce 1 dry pound of marijuana. This equation is VERY accurate. It was determined and discovered when California went legal and also went through those big droughts. All crops had to figure out exactly how much water consumption they required to produce value. This goes for soil and hydro.
I won't hijack your diary by posting a link but if you want to look up my old systems on youtube try looking up ChronicKnowledge42o I am pretty sure I talk about them and show them with some grow footage too, It was all so long ago I was so young lol.
Keep up the good work my friend will deffinately watch this diary for nostalgia reasons
@LegacyMarketFarm,
Hey hey my friend! Thanks for stopping by and leaving the nice comments. Very kind of you! I have used Gavita HPS in the past as well and is the main reason I purchased their LEDs. Very well made with great results. This is the first time I have utilized under current and it's been a drink with the firehose... the mechanics (pumps, seals, constant monitoring) were all new to me so I had some extended days in the beginning/initiation. All stable now and I am really enjoying the challenge. Thanks again for saying hello and I am following your progress now. Really enjoyed your facility! Must be a big change going from 16 plants to 7,000... take care!
@Godesskat,
Thank you!! Thanks for stopping by and for the compliments. Thinking about a BB#3 cross for my next grow. Good luck with yours and look forward to watching it grow!
