Started germination in 500ml solo cups. Filled 50% of cup with biobizz all mix, made hole for rapid rooters and sprinkled liberally with generic myco that I had on hand put rapid rooter on top, put seeds in. Put enough wet soil, just enough to cover the top. Put more soil around the rapid rooters for stability. watered roughly 100ml per cup, soil was fairly dry but im not sure if I overwatered? I should be fine I guess. Tiny desk fan just to blow the air around. I will be getting a real extraction kit soon but im not in a hurry as they have not sprouted yet. running lights at 5% just so I can check on plants, cant hurt them right? Also I hope the lights will help to evaporate some of the water. Wont be touching it for the next week or so. Day 4 - Tap root sprouted from #1 , had to surgically remove and flip tap root so it would grow the right way up, lesson learned, dont germ your seeds in grow plugs Day 5 - #1 and #2 are showing their first leaves, #2 seems to have purple starting leaves! Very interesting! #3 is being lazy but I hope it will catch up.

How long should I expect the seeds to start sprouting? Ive heard generally it should take about a week, 2 at the most.

1-2 weeks if you just popped them in soil no prep. This is what I did my very first grow, it took 9-10 days to pop. If you helped them along by soaking in anything before hand or altering the seed by means of scarification, it should speed it up a bit. could be looking at 3-5 days maybe 8. If nothing is happening after a full week they might have drowned. I find when I don't wait and go digging I damage them. keep temps 22-26c day time and higher humidity. Drop that back at night. My method that works well goes like this. 1. scarify the seed with a emery board in the palm of your hand just rolling it around gently not pushing to hard. Then nick the fat bottom with one mini swipe on the emery board. 2. soak in warm tap water, 12hr max, you don't need to PH balance it but can if you want. also optional any mycorrhizae/bacteria incontinent in the water with it. 3. make a hole 1/2"-1 1/2" deep with pencil or finger, lace hole with dry mycorrhizae, drop in seed and lightly cover. If its tap root is extended be gentle. 4. lightly water with a mix of liquid mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria, helps molds stay away. 5. keep temps up in day 22-26c cool at night 18-20c and RH at least 60% at most 80% and a small fan. 5b. I also prewet my medium before I plant to get the right consistency, then the 2nd watering step 4, is just to wash over the small area where you just dropped the seed. best of luck

First day of week one! #1 and #2 are coming along nicely. Slight amount of stretch so I might bring lights closer Turned lights up to about 50 watts from the original 10 or so, probably will keep that until late veg/early flower unless i have problems with stretching. So far everything is going perfect apart from this one seed. #3 still has not germed. I opened up the rapid rooter and it was as if it had just came out of the packet. As m0use suggested last week I will use a nail file to scrape the shell and will mix some MYKOS myco and ecothrive biosys to promote healthy bacteria. Will do paper towel and then move to rapid rooter. Only a weeks difference so I assume the plant will only be marginally smaller. finally installed 5 inch extraction kit. 100% overkill but it works and thats all I care about, ill turn it on probably once the seedling leaves seedling stage. 10th january - following https://growdiaries.com/diaries/104668-grow-journal-by-etheil/week/542154 I will try my luck in trying to reduce the stretch. I moved the lights up 75cm away from the canopy and have set the lights to 50%. This should be pulling a healthy 120 watts and I hope I can get a similarly fast veg. I will turn lights to 100% if they respond well. Thanks @etheil ! 11th January - as seen in one of the pics, one of the phenos kept on stretching even with the adjusted lighting so much that it collapsed! I added more soil around it to stabilise it. Plants are looking thirsty from all the light so I gave about 50ml each. Looking to transplant around next week. I have stopped BSing around with the lighting. I am keeping it at 50cm above the canopy no matter what as I have accurate PAR values from the manufacturer, removes all the guesswork and now I have 25cm more vertical space which is crucial in my short grow tent. 27c @ 65% with lights on at 50%. Did I mention I have an ak47 bagseed in the growtent too? I might just throw it out later but i might keep it if its fem and my 3rd GZ still does not germ.

13/1/2022: Plants are looking good and growing strong. I see slight magnesium deficiency in the GZ and a large nitrogen deficiency with the AK47 which is nothing unusual. I have topdressed a large pinch of Dr forest's 444 veg fertiliser and watered with dechlorinated water at PH 6. Hard to see out of the pictures but roots are already reaching the bottom of the solo cups! Looking to transplant by the end of this week, probably in a 50/50 soil coco mix for better root aeration. 14/1/2022: Wow! Opened the tent up today to see that the roots have already reached the bottom, bearing in mind this is just over a week since the roots came out of the ground. 16/01/2022: Decided to cull the ak47 and run 2 plants in the tent, as its just a random bagseed and could grow terribly. Must say though the smell was very nice, in 2 words: Blueberry AK. Although I have never smelt that strain before. Something to look into maybe for a future grow. I intially bought 3x 15 litre fabric pots but I think I will just not use them and get 2x 22 liter pots instead. Most likely im going to transplant on the 18th Jan. Cant wait! Im so excited! As you can see #1 is still pretty unstable after that intial stretching episode but i managed to add some more soil to stabilise it. Added about 25ml water just to allow the dry soil to compress. Weird green growth is on the inside the soil of #1. Is it algae? Im not going to water up until the day of the transplant to try and kill it off. Doubt it can harm the plants much in 4 days 17/1/2022: Not much to comment here. Plants have started to root ball now and so I assume thats the reason growth has slowed down too. Have gotten slightly bigger and I can see the 4th node appearing. Gonna top probably next week. 18/01/2022: Transplanted from 500ml to 22 liter pots. substrate is 50/50 biobizz all mix and canna coco natural. I only found out after buying that only half of the coco is buffered so I will keep an eye on the magnesium deficiency. Calcium should be fine as I have very hard water. Mixed in about 75 grams of 444 veg fertiliser into each container which maybe is a bit too much but I'm sure the coco will absorb some of the nutrients. I'm sure it will last me up to a month. added a good helping of MYKOS to the rootball watered each pot with about 2.5 liters of water Rolled the top down a bit. Will unravel pot and add more soil over the next few weeks as the plants grows taller. Plants look sad because I havent watered them in about 3 days until now. Expecting them to look great by next week. note: 15ml of 444 veg fertiliser weighs 10 grams 19/01/2021:

20th jan 2021: This week isnt off to a great start. A couple of days after the transplant the leaves seem to be wilting. Im still trying to do my research but I have no idea yet. Most likely this is caused by PH flucuations or some sort of deficiency. The semi-buffered coco is likely the culprit but im not certain. The plants not dead yet, just a hurdle to get past. 26th jan: No update due to me being busy. I added 0.1ml Biobizz calmag to 500ml water and gave to each plant. a few days ago which stopped the deficiency for a few days but it seems to be coming back. I am almost certain now that this is due to the unbuffered coco. Magnesium, calcium and phosphor deficiencies being seen on old and new growth respectively which is a massive red flag. I must say that the plant is actually doing pretty well despite this. Still has grown quite a bit. Stem fat on both. #1 seems to be about 1 node ahead of #2 so im considering main-lining a day early. -------- Scratch that, I read up on this, the plants actually are killing these leaves and have created another node to bush out the plant. No major deficiencies , just evolution :))) and I think I am only going to top, LST and then scrog. I am trying to keep this plant under 60cm and therefore keeping those branches will help a lot. Will update if I do anything.

27th jan: Topped and Started LST. Plants are looking fine. Expecting slowed growth. Looking to baby these plants with the LST not looking to break any stems so slow and steady wins the race, especially when you only have 2 plants . Minimal lollipopping as Im making sure to leave them bushy Im not sure if I have said this already but I abandoned the main-lining idea, good for when you have a lot of space but I need to keep it under 30cm for flower, I need that bushy plant as instead ill have lots of stem taking up space instead of colas. I might try mainlining next run. 31st jan: theres a possiblity I might have a 2 meter tall tent, in which case I really shouldnt be training these plants that hard. But im still training for 15cm until veg. #1 really hates me and is just trying to increase in height. (not stretching i dont think) So I upped my game and really took a few minutes to delicately tuck those leaves out. #2 im not sure whether its having a hard time recovering from the initial top, but it literally hasnt increased in height at all. Interesting 2nd feb: note: keep lights at 50-60 % through veg. Plants were 31c at 75-80% and started canoeing (heat stress) #1 seems to be vegging much faster than #2, probably the reason why it has developed some sort of deficiency. I assume potassium. #2 is a bit slower but seems perfectly healthy, seems to be growing out more bushy and doesnt really care about vertical growth. 3rd feb: added 60 grams of 248 (bloom 1) fertiliser to top dress for each plant over 1.5 liters per plant. This water also had some banana peels I let brew over 2 days. Not sure if it will do anything but we will see.

Looking at my plant pictures on 2nd of feb, #1 (plant on right) seems to have some sort of deficiency. Looks like potassium. For the record I dont use liquid nutes. Only dry organic amendments and I have not watered or top dressed in roughly 2 weeks. Thank you in advance!

I would agree with potassium. If you're using organics try and find a kelp extract or seaweed supplement, They tend to be high in K and are readily available. Green sand is also an option for long term release but it takes its time. Wood ash is also an option at aorund 0-1-3 but it will make the soil alkaline. Best Of Luck!

11th February 2021: It might seem like I have been slacking off, but really there hasnt been much to say. Mostly just LST. After giving the "banana peel tea" and the 248 bloom 1 from doctor forest, the potassium deficiency has 100% gone away for now. There are still a couple leaves on #1 that have that deficiency, im not sure why, but 95% of the other leaves (both old and new growth) are now a nice healthy shade of green. A few days ago I turned the lights down to 33% and turned the fan up. Safe to say the plants no longer have heat/light stress. Next grow when I do have more vertical space, ill be sure to hang the lights up much, much higher (about 75cm). lollipopped most of the lower leaves off of both plants. You might not even see a difference from the pictures and that is because that is the whole point. Whatever still makes up the canopy shouldnt be touched. I broke one off one of the shoots off of #2 while trying to LST. No biggie, plant doesnt really seem to care and to be fair it has really opened up the canopy for more buds sites. Call it what you want but I doubt its detrimental. This plant is a lot harder to tie down as the internodal spacing was so small it was pretty much impossible to put stakes down without damaging the leaves below it, therefore I let it grow out a bit more and so the stems have now hardened more and are a lot harder to train than #1 Just training now to let the plant form a nice canopy. I would say there are about 16 potential bud sites on #1 while only about half as much on #2 (due to lack of LST) but that should be fixed within the coming weeks. the tent height has really become a problem. I have found a taller tent that fits my space that I should be putting the plants in a couple weeks before flower. I watered each plant with 1.5 liters of water last week. Some of the leaves are now drooping and I just checked the plant pot and its almost bone dry. Probably gonna water in 4-5 days. So overall pretty good. Just excited to get the new tent, put it in scrog and flip! 😀👽💪

How many bud sites should I be aiming for my canopy in this 2x2 (60cmx60cm) Scrog? thats 0.36 m2 of canopy space Im dont really care about big buds, I just want a good yield and fast and trouble free flowering period :) I already have about 24 potential bud sites over 2 plants

As long as its filled in and their are no gaps in the grid you are doing it right. You should have enough stems to bind to the net and create a full grid with two plants at 24 each. Good Luck!

17/02/2022: What can I say. Watered yesterday. Look at the pictures. Doing some LST to expose more bud sites on #2 (left plant) as it only has 4 major bud sites. #1 has enough already so im just letting it grow out. Otherwise same-old. Plant seems to be really needing that potassium, I didnt add any dry amendment but Ill 100% do so soon. Will be flipping in a week or two!

24th feb: Damn. Very interesting. #1 is looking amazing. I actually was a bit lazy so im just scrogging now in at the start of the 7th week, i dont think it will be that much of a difference. Either way this thing has turned into a bush... Cant wait to see how it will look like. #2 on the other hand, is having some issues. Its just not growing... I assume the most likely reason is that its out of water. I checked the pot and its dry and the leaves are drooping, completely possible that its just more thirsty and I really hope it just explodes after 24 hours of watering. With so little time and the plant being so annoying to LST, I defoliated some of the leaves, not even 5 or so leaves, just smaller fan leaves covering those baby bud sites just so they could grow out without any interference, did I mention #2 is annoyingly bushy? Anyway, once I finally got to those leaves, they seem like they have wilted a bit, not sure if its the plant sacrificing them due to lack of light or mould, either way, ill see whats gonna happen. As of now, its not too bad. 26th feb: turned the lights down to 12% (about 12 watts) and #2 almost doubled in size. I assumed it was the water at first, but then #1 also doubled it's leaves despite me not giving it anything. Well, now its noted, I wont be giving them so much light next grow. 😅😭

11th feb: starting probably the last week of veg. Let them grow, scrog, defoliate a bit and repeat. Watered each plant 3000ml today. Was a bit stupid in hindsight as #2 is STILL half the size of #1. After about an hour it seemed like I had overwatered but I turned the lights up and its flourishing like #1 Bit annoying that now I have the taller tent, they seem to not like stretching even after 2 or so weeks of keeping the lights really low. Ive put them back at 33%. Hopefully the distance and lower temps wont cause them as much stress as last time. Damn, idk what to expect but I hope #2 redeems itself in flower. Still hasnt stretched past the scrog net. 12 feb: Yeah wow. Just take a look at the pictures. 33% light is the way to go i guess! 16 feb: today is the last day of veg. Halfway there! As you can see I defoliated alot, especially #2, as the weird leaf wilting was everywhere. While this is most likely going to yield much less than #1 i am still pretty hopeful. #1 keeping things in check as usual.

1 st april: Same old same old. Added 2 liters water and about 75 grams 2-4-8 to #1. White pistils from bud-sites. No balls to be seen which is good. A day after the watering, it started to show heat stress symptoms, which is weird because the day before and #2 was fine. Have reduced lights to 33% and #1 is happier than everyone #1 is now twice the size of #2, not sure if its just genetics but it has still barely broken past the first scrog net. #2 has more than enough nitrogen. Clearly has K deficiency and maybe P deficiency. Might be nute burn but idk seeing as this plant has had potassium problems before. Have given it 50 grams 0-7-7 and gonna water 1 liter and see how it responds. Canopy about 75% of the way full but I have been defioliating every other day to let the smaller bud sites break through to the top. Expect it to be filled up by the next 2 weeks :) 3rd april: nooo! #1 hermied. It was my fault. I waited waaaay to long to water. But we will see how things go. chopping balls off now but im not sure whether i should totally throw away the plant. Gonna see how #2 reacts and maybe it can replace it :)))

14th April: Starting to see the flowers, very frosty! Out of all things my tent smells like an old persons home which is very weird but otherwise the plants are healthy minus some slight plant deficiency #1 seems to have "unhermied" itself after I removed the balls, ill keep checking it, but for the past 2 weeks I have not found another single ball. Noted, there was only about 2-3 balls on 1-2 of the colas. Either way, no complaints. I watered about 750ml each plant and added a good amount of 077 fertiliser, about 50-100 grams because I was too lazy to measure it out. I can see possible P deficiency, K deficiency (especially on #2) and some calmag deficiency on #1. This 077 fertiliser also has calmag which should solve that problem. This might be the last feeding as I want to try "flushing" the plants, we will see how that goes but I can very easily add more fertiliser if I need it. NOTE TO EVERYONE READING: If you are struggling with high temps and/or high noise, add a passive intake in the bottom of the tent!!! make sure to bend the ducting at least 180 degrees to stop light leaks. My temps went down from 28c to 23c with no change in fan speed, and the noise was cut in half because the suction was causing the fabric to become tight and vibrate. I will still see if it works longterm but it works amazing for now, I dont know how I didnt know this was a thing!!! 15th april: Turned lights up to 75%. Looking to turn to 100% in 1 week or two but will see how plants respond.

27th april: Watered 1 liter and 500ml to 1 and 2 respectively. Was a banana tea to solve potassium deficiencies. Now I realised I got fairly bad nitrogen deficiency on both plants (especially #2) but its nothing some 4-4-4 cant solve. Actually now that I look at it, we are in week 6 so I might as well not give any more nitrogen and let it start flushing. been keeping the lights at 100% and its been going well. Nothing else to say here. Flowers are fattening up. Im not sure if im seeing balls on both plants at this point, and at this point i dont want to know. Im kind of terrible between differentiating pollen sacs and calyxes, ive opened some "pollen sacks" to find stigmas that havent come out yet so I really have no clue at this point, im just removing anything that resembles a pollen sack. 😐 Gonna try and get some pictures up very soon. But honestly, you wouldnt be able to see much of a difference across the month unless you looked at the bud size. 28th april: found seeds in the bud, oh well, I still got some more time to finish the plant but it wont be seedless bud :(( . Next time ill be sure to better take care of my plants 29th april: Gave 1.5 liters to #1 and 1 liter to #2. Gave both 50 grams of 077 with added Calmag.

week 8 now. Watered 3 liters pure PH 6 water to each plant to flush out the root system and by a miracle my pottasium deficiencies have somewhat disappeared! Well ill say theres a lot of things ive fucked up on. First things first im gonna be buying a EC meter to check runoff. Checked trichomes: 95% white and 5% brown. so giving 2 more weeks wont hurt. Buds are slowly but surely sizing up.

from the bud I harvested a couple weeks early: Has a minty/menthol smell to it with some sourness and sweet in it. When you grind it up it smells EXACTLY what skittles taste like which is crazy to me. Didnt smoke it yet cos still waiting to cure. EDIT: smoked. one of the phenos smells flowery and like ramen chicken seasoning... wtf? 😂 But overall 60/40 indica is true. Nothing crazy in terms of effects but definitely not bad. Too bad I only got like a Z off of this. Oh well...

Nice strain choice. I grew it just once and it's by far my favourite 💚
