The little one came up yesterday, just under a small led strip at the mo, she came up strong, was the biggest seed in the pack. All my critical X herer failed, I got one og kush from a week ago still trying to break the surface.
Moved her into her pot, and put in tent.
Is she's like the other girl, I will probably just mainline her so I don't lose any more branches.
Will start feed probably by end of week 2. In a slightly smaller pot than the other aswell so it'll be interesting to see yeild difference.
Lovely growth this week. I like how autos grow internodes just as quick as the top.
Still watering plain water at the mo.
Will add nutes when flowering. No defoliation on this one.
At the minute not impressed with this strain, about three weeks into flowering, still no sign of thc formation, and all the leaves are now starting to turn yellow and die off (I know it happens, but didn't think this early on) the buds are forming ok, I'm hoping to see swelling in the next few weeks, have been adding nutes but at about half strength.
It seems to be showing similar characteristics of my other plant that I chopped early (due to too much defoliation).
Going away for a few days so a bit worried about the watering situation.
Came back and girl is starting to get bigger and more growth, still seeing no thc. Just see how she does.
End of week 4. Better signs.
Getting dense nugs, if not a little small, but growing denser (which is a good sign) still minimal production crystal mainly on calyxes but also small to the eye, not big and bulbous.
But really it's not the strain, it's me (the grower). I think temps are a bit too high for this one, can't get them lower than 28oc. I was scared of nute lock due to my previous grow, so probably not enough nutes during start of flowering, smaller pot aswell than previous. Has stretched so probably too close too light to get proper photosynthesis reaction. I've had better progress with my bagseed than autos so will be carrying on with them for a while. Need to do a bit more research on autos.
Will try to do weekly update from now on.
Into week 5, and getting better. The buds are getting so dense, not swelling as much as I thought, but really hard and dense, starting to get thc on the sugar leaves now so happy about that.
Week 6: Buds are getting denser and starting to get a bit fatter. Still minimal thc production happening, really only on buds not much on sugar leaves. Will be leaving till 50-60% amber trichomes at least on this girl. Wanna try and get the best out of her. Still feeding nutes every few days at diluted strength. Added seaweed additive, cheap from garden centre.
Starting to look forward to harvest on this girl!!
Week 7: all leaves are dead, only got small sugar leaves left, trichomes are still clear, I'm assuming high temps have killed the leaves off, humidity around 40%. Will she still grow anymore? Or is she for the chop?
Cheers
Nice genetics from this strain, grew nice and fast to begin with, issues with heat definitely had an impact on flowering. Strong stem and good internodel structure, would have done better with a bit of training. After drying, buds seem fluffier and less dense, but did have potential for better.
Really easy harvest, as all the fan leaves had died back there wasn't much sugar leaf growth either, so barely any trimming required.
In curing jar now for a few weeks hopefully.
