This one grew extremely weird. For two months it didn't flower and for almost 4 weeks after veg it stopped growing. Then after two months the main cola started flowering and stopped, then all the other lower branches outgrew it. Now 90% of the branches have outgrown the main cola. No topping or training done until just recently so it did everything on its own lol weird. Super skunky and spicy. Way stronger smelling than the full grown plant right next to it lmao I'm excited to see it flower the rest of the way idk why it's taking so long its an autoflower. Halfway through the video I part the branches to show you the main cola now buried by everything else but still looking pretty good

As I have messed up curing twice already, when is the perfect time to cure? Research I read suggests when the outside of the buds are dry and the smallest branches start to snap when you bend them? Can anyone else suggest a good time or telltale sign it's ready to be cured?

Curious how you messed up the cure. what went wrong? most curing is done after a nice slow and low dry. Slow as in times it takes to do it and its RH, 7-14 days @55%, low as in temps. 15c/59f Lower temps help the buds retain their highly aromatic terpenes, if temps are to hot they will all evaporate out as they are quite volatile. If they dry to quickly and below a specific moisture level in an environment, maybe one with lower RH or to much heat, they go past a point where the cure can do anything. Part of whats happening in the cure is microorganisms are breaking down the the plant from the inside out, turning it into something wonderful and less planty. When you dry to fast and to much they don't have the time to get setup and the decreased moisture levels prevent them from working. all living things need moisture. With that in mind you also want to dry and cure in a dark location. sunlight is not great for it. There are lots of products out there to help maintain the correct RH in your cure. a little sachet you put in the jar with it. Other options are slices of an orange peal. I like mini hydrometers to go in the jars with them. I also prefer to only fill the jars 3/4's full to allow more space at the top of the jar. What you have been told is a good start to when is it ready for bottling. I use the branch snap test as well. The kicker is when your burping the jars to also smell them. If they smell like ammonia, they need more time to dry, bring them out for another day. Burping is need to release excess gas that is being produced in the cure. I like to burp once a day for a week. then once every three to five to seven days for a few weeks then once a month. for 3 months and after that open only when needed. This might be over kill its just what I do. I will cure for a min of 3 months and a good cure is 6-12 months long. I like to cure in large glass containers that are air tight. If possible amber but its not needed. Good Luck and Happy Growing!

Today upon inspection I lightly touched a leaf close to some buds densely covered in trichomes and found a thick resin on my fingers. Now I know I'm getting somewhere. First the smell now the resin I know I'm growing this right......I fucked up curing my first two plants the one I just harvested got mold because I jarred way too early. I jarred early because my first plant I didn't jar at all until it was too late because I didn't know what I was doing so by the time it did get jarred it was overly dry and brittle from hanging for days. This last plant I made the mistake of thinking it would be OK to jar early so I wouldn't repeat the mistake I made the first time. How stupid of me lol and me looking back at the situation and having done the research before I even made the mistake I would have thought it would have passed my mind that jarring still wet will be breeding ground for mold. I won't make the same mistake a third time especially with a plant so well done. I can still smell the powerful resin on my fingers. This is a third times a charm type a deal I think. I'm worried about mold as this plant is the biggest and bushiest of all three and leaves towards the base are dying on the plant from lack of light. I can't catch some right away because of how thick everything is I have to move stuff around and look to see if anything is dead. But yeah I'm super stoked
