Heyoo, welcome to another diary!! This time we got Ayahuasca purple (left purple pot) and Monster Gelato (right pot). It's a winter grow and I hope Kingsbrite delivers enough heat for these ladies so that they can survive the harsher months (Feb-early Mar). ❄️⛄ I plan on main-lining them hard just like my previous Dance World/OG Skunk grow. With the aid of Mega Crop nutes I'm hopeful for a bountiful harvest hehe. 👌☘️ 📜 Here's the detailed plan : 🎗️✂️ Main-lining: Wait for 5 nodes and transplant to 2 gal pots. Wait for 6-7 nodes and top to 3rd node (cut everything above 3rd). Will also prune everything below node 3 except for its fan leaves. Start forming the main-line base with the growth from node 3. Top again on node 1 on the new branches and tie down. Repeat previous step. 🍽️ Nutes: Feed Mega Crop all throughout and add Sweet Candy as soon as possible. Cal-Mag will be supplied if necessary. 🐛 Pest control: Apply Neem Oil, diatomaceous earth per need basis Week 1 was alright. The Ayahuasca is a slow starter since her cotyledons didn't develop properly for some reason and were yellow right off the bat. I'll make sure to give her enough time to catch up. The plants seems to be responding well to the nutes. My current formula is 28g Mega Crop per 0.5l water total and then split into two 250ml for each plant. The weather is warm enough so that they don't freeze overnight and the LED lamp is giving them plenty of heat during the day See you next week and keep growing! ✌️☘️

Hello and welcome to week 2! This week has been business as usual, the plants are growing juust fine. The Aya is catching up to the Monster. There's some small damage on the bottom leaves of the Monster and I think that's due to magnesium deficiency which is due to the cold night temps of around 17. It's getting pretty cold here and I really don't want to put a heater in, so we'll see. Also a small correction to last week - what I thought was Sweet Candy is actually Bud Explosion. So yeah, not putting in any of that any time soon haha. Keep growing and see you next week!

Hey there! Week 3 is officially in the books. Noteworthy events this week: - Transplanted the girls to their final home - 2 gal pots. Went pretty well they recovered in a day or so ⏫ - Coldest day of the year so far: -13 outside during the night and 15.7 in the tent . Luckily the plants seem unfazed by the cold 💪 Hope for warmer days ahead 🌞 - They've developed about 5-6 nodes - Started watering them with 1L each, every 3 days or so. Mega Crop all the way 🥫 What's next? 📜 - Mainlining will commence this week. As soon as their 3rd nodes grow big enough so that I can tie them down I will begin topping them ✂️ . I expect this to happen when they have 6 or 7 nodes in total. - Continue observing the temps and on the watch out for pests 🐜 See you next week, and keep growing! ✌️☘️

Hello everybody! Week 4 of veg is officially in the books and this one was action packed and the name of the game was Main-Lining! Main-lining ✂️: - First top was on day 23 after the plants had developed 7 and 6 nodes respectively - Topped down to third node and pruned everything below it (left fan leaves on 3rd node on the Ayahuasca to boost her recovery 💪) - Decided to top at this point in time because the 3rd nodes were already long enough that could be bent securely 🔐 - Recovery was phenomenally fast, even in the "harsh" winter conditions - Second top was on day 27, after the growth tips on the 1st nodes of the new main branches had been developing for a day or two 🌱 - Accidently damaged one of the branches on the Ayahuasca with the scissors 😢 Other 🔁: - Adjusted water intake to 1.5l per plant every 3 days - Adjusted nutes accordingly What's next 🗺️?: - I expect the plants to continue growing vigorously - Final top (number 3) will be performed sometime during the upcoming week (5) - I'll add skewers to the (fabric) pot and will bend all the branches down to ensure a nice even base of the main-lined plants If you have any questions do not hesitate to post them down in the comments and I'll try to answer to the best of my ability! See you next week and keep growing ✌️☘️

Hello, everyone! Second week of heavy main-lining is in the books! Not without casualties, sadly 😢 The main-lining ✂️ : - I've tied the branches down twice this week - First time was on day 31 and I managed to snap 1 (out of 4) of the new branches of the Monster Gelato. - The broken branch didn't completely come off the plant but the damage was sizeable - Since the branch was too small to be tied back to the plant so that it can easily heal itself I decided to super glue it 😲🖌️ - The branch was secured back to the plant...but at what cost? - The second tie-down and third top was done on day 36, this time with grater care, and no plants were hurt during the process What's next 🗺️: - I'll closely follow the development of the snapped branch and will decide if I want to keep it or not - If it gets the chop, I'll consider topping its closest sibling once again. - I realise it will lead to uneven conopy and distribution of the plant's energy - I haven't done this type of topping before, so I might give it a go just to see what happens Some thoughts 🗯️: - I've definitely been harsher to plants before and haven't had a snap...maybe the branches are more brittle due to the "winter" conditions? - For future training (bending) I'll tie down the leaves first before tying down the branch, I've noticed there's a better distribution of stress this way. - Also I don't this I will use super glue ever again if I snap a branch... will need to come up with a better solution in this type of situation haha That's all for this action-packed week, see y'all in the next one! Keep growing ✌️☘️

Hello, everyone! Week 6 is in the books, yay! Closing in on the flower!! The main-lining ✂️ : - Third and final topping was done last week, so it's only bending and pruning from now on - Bended all the branches multiple times as they are growing super fast ⏩ - Not everything was an easy bend for the Monster Gelato as you can see it has some rather uneven growth - The Ayahuasca Purple is coming off nicely and forming very evenly - Pruned everything below the top-most node once on the last day of the week (Day 43) - The broken (and superglued) branch healed up TREMENEDOUSLY! 💪 And to think that I was contemplating its demise just a week ago.. - Also the temperatures are rising and we don't fall below 19 during the night any more! ⚠️ I'M GOING ON A VACATION FOR A WEEK ⚠️ - "But, tap, they are all going to die!!! 😣😣" - Yeah, that's why I installed a DIY water bottle drip system 🍼. First time I'm using this method, fingers crossed it works well 🤞 Some thoughts 💭: - The superglue wasn't THAT bad of an idea in the end! The branch took its time, but now it's just progressing just fine That's all for this action-packed week, see y'all in the next one! Keep growing ✌️☘️

Hello, everyone! Week 7 is in the books and it marks the END OF VEG! The main-lining ✂️ : - Virtually complete - Pruned everything below the top-most node - Kept on bending some of the more unruly branches - Will prune once again at the end of week 1 of flower End of veg 🌱: - Veg went on for 7 weeks - Last grow (skunk-dance) was 6 weeks of veg - Looking at pictures from previous grow, the plants don't look too different this time around - 12-12 light cycle starts on day 51 - Currently the plants stand at 18cm tall Nutes : - Gave them pre-flower nutes on last day of veg - Will continue giving them pre-flower nutes for the next couple of weeks or so - Next feed will include BUD EXPLOSION in pre-flower dosage Other 💭 : - Went on a vacation and the plants survived an entire week (weren't even that dry!) 💪 - The upside-down water bottle watering method worked just fine, will definitely continue using it in the future - Super excited for the stretch ahead !!! That's all for this week, see y'all in the next one! Keep growing ✌️☘️

Hello, everyone! Week 1 of (pre) flower is officially over! Pre-flower phase 🌼: - The plants have started to stretch - Last week they measured at 18 cm tall - Now they are at 23~ cm - Expecting to reach about 40 cm - Pre-flower should last about 2 more weeks - SOME white pistils have been showing already (congratulations it's a girl!!! 🤱) Pruning (defoliation) ✂️: - I've pruned everything below the top-most node on the first day of the new week (not shown here) - I think this will be the last prune, I was satisfied with the results last time with this approach - Will probably still remove some of the big fan leaves here and there Nutes : - Have been giving them pre-flower nutes all week - Next week I'll increase the Mega Crop dose by 25% (from 2g per 1.5l to 2.5g per 1.5l) - Will keep Bud Explosion as is (0.4 per 1.5l) That's all for this week, see y'all in the next one! Hey there! Week 5 of flower is over and it's all BAU! Misc 💭: - Pretty much as Business as Usual as it gets - I've done absolutely nothing but water these pretty ladies! - Not a single leaf has been defoliated in the last couple of weeks - This week I'm gonna try watering them with the "automated" watering system I used a few weeks back since I'll be gone for 5 days at the end of the month That's all for this week, see y'all in the next one! Hey there! Week 6 of flower is done! Misc 💭: - Yet again it was all BusinessAsUsual - Smell from the tent is.. woah! - The bad news is that the "automated" watering system didn't work - All the water simply leaked out of 1 of the bottles.... - Will try the string-in-a-bucket method this week That's all for this week, see y'all in the next one! Definitely easy to grow. Managed to break one of the branches during mainlining, but it healed very quickly and delivered some nice bud in the end. Would recommend if you want big buds!

Hello! Week 10 of flower is done and it's THE PENULTIMATE ONE OF THIS DIARY! - The Gelato got the chop this week - It was over 90% orange pistils - Full of cloudy trichomes - Forgot to take a photo of the trichomes... - This little beauty has been foxtailing like mad - But its time is here - Lowered the lights intensity - Brought the lights a little farther away from the plant in order to curb the foxtailing - Chopping midweek next week That's all for this week, see y'all in the next one!
