Germination

This is the first time I plant cannabis. I grow this strain with 4 more, all together in the same tent: RQS - Royal Dwarf RQS - Green Gelato Automatic RQS - Royal Critical Automatic RQS - Northern Light Automatic First I soak the seeds in a glass of water for no more than 16h and put it in a dark place. Then I put them in a kitchen paper towel until I see a tail, to finally plant them in the soil. I prepare the pot with the substrate Biobizz All-Mix and in the center where the seed is going I make a big hole with Biobizz Light-Mix. The pot size is 15L / 3.3Gal For now I only used bottled water. The seedling came out without the shell but with a viscous layer of something I'm still not sure what it is. Now has very tiny primary leaves, I hope does well.

After germination I planted it on soil 16th Jan. I know I have watered the plant twice after planting it on soil, but I don't remember the first day of watering. Sometimes I have sprayed it with water. Ive been changing the lights potency the 6th and 7th day, and lets see if I don't burn the plants. When I water the soil, I just water the center part, since contains the Light-Mix instead of all the pot. I will probably start watering it all soon. Day 1 (17th Jan): It sprouted and the cotyledons were still closed. It seems like the shell fell but a membrane stayed on the plant. In the end I helped it because it was weird to me. Day 5 (21th Jan): I watered the plant this day. Day 7 (23th Jan): The plant is looking good to me, then I sprayed it a little bit with water and fell to the floor due to the weight of drops of water on the leaves. It seems to have a very weak stem, I don't know why. The other plants don't have this problem. I have solved it putting a stick on the soil and letting the plant to lean against it. Also since I have seen some insect on the other plant I decided to put sticky traps, I don't know what insect is but I believe is a fungus gnat or thrip. I decided I will wait a little longer before watering. The soil seems dry but if I touch and scratch it with my finger I take dark brown soil and its moist. I measured the light and at the top of the plant it measures 10k Lux. But my Lux meter is probably not calibrated for my lights, I need to search how to do that. Day 8 (24th Jan): I've found a PAR test online and decided to set my lights to exactly 124W and 90cm/36". For what I've seen online my plants are not stretching, I've seen horrible cases though, in any case I hope now my plants will not stretch and fall anymore. The PAR test I've found is here: https://chuckersparadise.com/threads/hlg-300l-rspec.2858/

I sprayed it with water and the plant fell. In another plant in the same grow room I spotted an insect, I'm not sure what it is. Maybe its related. I decided to put sticky traps and I will wait a little longer before watering. Solved it letting it to lean against a stick.

OK, this is a two part answer. RN mean Right Now. its an abbreviation. First things first. that insect is known a black thrip. they are pest and you will want to treat them asap before they start to stress out your plant. https://gardenerspath.com/how-to/disease-and-pests/control-thrips/ This is one reference point from googling I found that goes into details about them and how to control them. There are lots of products on how to treat them, your in veg so you can use a lot more then if you where in flower. the 2nd half of this is the plant falling over. It's doing this because the stem is to weak. You need to add in air movement in your room to help strengthen it up. I see you have fans going maybe lower one down a bit more, It could also just be this seed like you where saying at the other ones are fine. Seedlings also stretch like crazy if the light is not close enough. Thus making them top heavy. Supporting it like you have is a good idea, let it thicken up. Don't point the fan directly at it. Point it at a wall in the tent to make some diffused air movement. The plant will bulk up its stem and become very strong to the point it will no longer require its supports and they can then be removed. As for spray the plants try not to do this. Wet leaves that close to the medium can cause some issues and increase the chances of powdery mildew. If the small top layer of soil aorund the plant is dry but under it its wet, you don't need to worry the plant has lots of water and its root system is already as deep as the plant is tall. I'm still waiting for the neem oil I ordered online. Seems the dinosaur shaped sticky traps are doing their job, I've seen several thrips trapped there, but no more than 15 in total, so I guess there are not a lot. At least it's good they are being trapped. My humidity sensor that turns on and off the humidifier is slow, and peaks are high, ranging from 40% to 80% in average, the humidity average is 65% though. Day 8 (24th Jan): I've found a PAR test online and decided to set my lights to exactly 124W and 90cm/36". For what I've seen online my plants are not stretching, I've seen horrible cases though, in any case I hope now my plants will not stretch and fall anymore. Day 9 (25th Jan): I watered the plants, about 1L per plant. I watered slowly trying to not create a puddle, until I started seeing water coming out from the bottom. Day 12 (28th Jan): I decided to give more power to the lights, 200W after reading that in vegetation plants want 300-600 PPDF. I don't want to burn them and since they are not stretching maybe I should be careful. Another strategy would be to give them more light and pull back when I see signs of light burn, maybe I'll do that way. It seems the max temperature of the tent has increased for almost 2°C. I have an extractor taking out air for 15min every for every hour, so 15min extracting and 45min not. For now I think is ok, in vegetation plants like a little bit more heat. But when they start flowering I will need to increase the extraction ratio. Day 13 (29th Jan): I bought extra sticky traps and place 3 of them close to the edge of the pots, only 3 pots have them, not 3 in the same pot. Day 14 (30th Jan): I lowered the distance to about 65cm/25" at about 200W since the plants are going to grow, soon will be 60cm/24". At mid week I will put potency to max level, 249W which is about 560 PPDF. I wanted to water today but I think I will wait for tomorrow, so I synchronize it with the rest. The soil is not wet but you can feel a a little moist if you put the finger in, I think it will survive for one day.
