This seed was one of 3, I had it sitting around but unused as it was an autoflower. I never took the chance for them getting so big that I couldn't control them, now is the time. I'm using a 15L pot folded in half so about 10 cm of soil, this time im following autoflower etiquette and planting direct in medium. The seed itself sprouted very abundantly and had a super long tail comparatively. Believe my temps in my sprouting room were way too hiigh however. Landlord had turned up the heat in the building..(a water pipe runs though my sprouting cupboard). Also.. Just getting used to new nutrients... they dropped my water from 7.8 to 6.5 just by mixing up.... madness.. prob fed this at 5.6 after having Ph'd to 6.5 prior to mixing.... we shall see
After a week of germ:The plant started slow and with what appeared to be by some strange looking leaves, the edges were a bit deformed and leaf structure a bit weird. Shall continue and see what happens for experience.

Stocky plant, thick stem.
Mutations continue. Some looks like tobacco mosaic but I doubt it.
Thrips seem to avoid this plant comparative to my others at present.
Just look at it. All deformed and shit. Already has a fat stem on it.. maybe the nutes should be toned down? God knows.
4/2. It's like it's growing sooooo many leaves... plain water at end of week. Contemplating defoliating it...
I'm growing in soil that's 23x10cm only. The plant continues to show deformity albeit a bit less.. I looked though and found one side of a node had sprouted a deformed double branch. One side was normal, the other like Siamese twins.. chopped both of them and razor bladed the stem so it doesn't try to sprout more branches from same spot... the stem will heal. Rather that than waste more energy making shit. Does anyone have any thoughts to deformed leaves... Does it do more harm to let them grow deformed than to just chop and leave the nice growing ones? One to wonder..
Anyways IT seems to have stopped gaining as much height at 17cm, It looks like side branches are pushing up through nicely. I have concerns my light is too close(see closeup of top)...I assume the thing is starting to push flowers *shrug* I'm gonna wait and see. Thanks for reading. Might update later in the week
decided to scrog. need to keep everything the same height... trimmed up the bottoms too got rid of some of the bud sites i was convinced would not get light as per other experiments in the past.
day 47. surprisingly, with all the deformities early on this seems my most vigorous and lush. bud sites not getting as big as id like, possibly due to me cutting low down branch and sticking it in a vase.. tucking occurring daily but good progress. flowering nutes 1nce or twice a week..
bud shape is coming along nicely. pruned to uncover budsites. removing leaves below the screen a couple at a time. seemed to have slowed down the drinking. no issues. water fed this week. no nutes this time
day 64 buds are getting fatter and really moving taller. will take a while to finish no doubt.. lots of new calyx growth and pistils. i came to conclusion i was letting the plants get too dry before a top up.. trying to keep more moist. let the boost and rhizo get to work and keep the soil niiice. doubtful this notthern lights is gonna fade much.. after having cut a branch for a vase, afyer a week its still a dsrk mint green with no fade. compared to my bb which faded completly... looks super healthy if not a little too much nitrogen... not seeing too much N curl in buds which im happy about.
still seeing bud swelling and pistil growth. no visible fade yet.. vase cutting finally started to fade.... going to taper back to the boost only now going forward and ensure it doesnt dry out.. can see a bit more of its sativa traits in the bud structure now too which is interesting
knew they were going to take a while but daaamn. they continue to show new growth.. ive decided they have too muxh residual N so im just giving water for a few good waterings. thrips are becoming an issue on outer leaves.going to just keep leaves damp with distilled and hope i can keep them down
had to be today i chopped enough said. think im early bud it is what it is. looks to have got a good amount; more than the other autos. who said a 3 yr old seed isnt viable...
