Anyone know what’s wrong with my plant? Has had marble Colour effect on the leaves since it was a seedling and is now wilting. I’m debating if I should remove it if it won’t flower properly. To allow the other plants more room to grow as this is only a 750x750mm tent with 4 autos

Thanks for all your replies, unfortunately I cannot DM any of you yet as my account is less than 24 hours old and this feature is not available yet. Just to go through some of the answers I did suspect a Calmag deficiency and bought some calmag and have been adding to the feed for a few weeks now. Also ph has been checked and is within the right levels from 6.5-7 ph the lights should be at the right height and they are now on 100% i was slowly increasing throughout the weeks. The overwatering could be a possibility but I have been careful with this only watering when the top inch is totally dry i also have a meter for checking deeper in the soil. I usually only water once dry and the plant is drooping a bit. The other week i didn't water them for about 5 days. Last week I did water the bigger healthy plant and the sick one as this was drooping a lot too. When researching the leaves I did think it could be this mosaic virus or tobacco mosaic virus but it says its contagious between plants and some of the leaves are touching other plants and so far I have not seen it spreading to others. I know the pots are a bit on the small size I was trying to find out exactly what size they are but it don't say on the website. I will measure them when I am home. I bought the kit as a whole and I don't think bigger pots will fit with 4 plants. I think on my next grow I may only do 2-3 plants depending how big these end up as I think room will be an issue when it comes to the late flowering stage. I am slowly reducing the humidity levels I'm now at 52% going to reduce another 5% this week and I think flowering should be between 40-50% so this should be doable without having to invest in a dehumidifier. As its quite cold outside at the moment so the air is quite dry from the heater maintaining the internal temperature. I have a humidifier on Humidistat so this maintains a constant humidity level. Again this is my first grow I have no previous experience in growing all the info I have got has been from online forums and YouTube videos . I very much appreciate the help everyone can give me.

If your plants are already 5 weeks old, they most likely need some food. The pots look a little on the small side too, 5 gallon is a nice size for auto’s (not quite sure what size yours are?). No idea of how often or how much you’re watering so it’s tough to say if your sickly plant is overwatered or not. All in all, they don’t look too bad so I would try some fertilizer and a steady wet to dry watering schedule. If the sickly plant doesn’t respond it’s possible you just got a bad seed/plant. It happens sometimes and if it goes that way- just remove her from the tent and allow the other plants to benefit from the additional space. Hope it works out for you and all the best growing forward! 🤜🏻

But I’d let it go for a bit- see how it initiates flower before you decide it’s fate. Sometimes runts like this go crazy in flower and surprise me at the end.

BrownsBuds Plants are continuing to grow a lot throughout this week. I have been lowering the humidity levels throughout the week. Dr jack is still looking unhealthy and hasn’t been doing much growing. End of the week I moved the sick Dr Jack out of the tent under another grow light. The plants now have more room and I have had a go at some LST to try spread out the plants best I can.

BrownsBuds They have continued to grow well and since removing the sick dr jack outside the tent this has allowed space for me to try and tie down the larger overstretched plant. So far the LST methods have seemed to be working out well too giving a lot more nodes access to light. Still not quite sure what was wrong with the dr jack but there is some small new growth and there are no markings on the leafs.

BrownsBuds Was away this week but plants seem to be fine slight yellowing on the tips of the zkittles new leaves. Soil is very dry as they haven’t been watered in 5 days. Only slight drooping in some of the leaves though. Will be watering after this post. The buds seem to be developing nicely.

BrownsBuds Was away again this week but the plants have been fine. I watered them when I left and 5 days later the soil was dry and they needed a water so i fed them 1 litre each yesterday. Today I’ve tried to tie some more branches down to the scrog net to allow more light to all the buds. I have ordered a new thermostat with a day and night temperature so soon will be able to do lower night temps

BrownsBuds Plants were left for 8 days between watering, the soil was very dry and plant leaves drooping. Watered them with 1 litre each yesterday but have noticed yellowing of leaves on the bottom. Thinking this might be due to under watering I am not sure. Apart from that the flowers themselves are looking fine. Night temps are now 18 deg and 24 daytime and humidity at 50% I have also now put in a small fan at floor level in the space of where the 4th pot was so this now gives lower air movement.

Hey I’m wondering what could be the cause of this. They went 8 days between watering so, Is this a deficiency or due to under watering? Should I trim the yellow leaves or leave it? Thanks

Its quite common to get a N difficiency in week 4 flower. I wouldnt give it too much attention because the "fault" already has been made. The plant uses so much nitrogen when its going into flower to stretch her arms that you wouldnt get it all green again in my experience. To solve this problem i used to not switch from grow into bloom nutes when i switched to 12/12 but i let the transition be smoother. and this is defenitely better with a stretching plant. For example the first week of 12/12 no bloom nutes at all. From the moment u see real budds forming u start the bloom nutes for like 1/4 of total feeding. and around end week 3 you should be at full bloom nutes. Good luck!

It is nitrogen deficiency and it is not a bad thing in flowering. Your plant wants more potassium and phosphorus as well. Likely more water. You should get run off when you water. I would add a light nitrogen in feeding, and a nice dose of potassium and phosphorus.

BrownsBuds Fed at start of this week with 2 litre each with bio blizz schedule. Very clear signs of nitrogen deficiency in higher up leaves now, hopefully I am now feeding enough nutes. trichomes still looking clear to me hopefully only another week or so until it’s ready to harvest.

BrownsBuds Been feeding each plant with 2 litres once soil has dried out which is roughly 2 feeds a week. The yellowing and brown spots looks like its slowly getting worse even though enough nutes are being used. I have read online this is quite normal to see nitrogen deficiency close to harvest. I know I’m getting close and have been checking the trichomes every day and they seem to still be very clear and none turning orange.

BrownsBuds Fed the plants using nutes for the last time now will be flushing ready for harvest. Temps inside the tent in shed peaked at 31 deg Celsius early last week due to warmer weather and no inlet air to allow fresh outside air in. I was leaving the shed door open to combat this issue but have now fitted an inlet fan into the shed and temporarily have the flexible pipe poking into the air box but it’s working a treat now. Will adjust it in time once I have the new tent set up after harvest. The sick plant I removed earlier in the grow is also growing in veg stage nicely still no signs of deficiency, am looking forward to her flowing once I can get her under the the proper light.

Growing these strains has been a enjoyable experience so far I can’t really relate it to others and it is my first grow. I think purple punch auto has come out the best although more yellowing and brown leaves buds are much thicker the other two autos have stretched more giving less big buds I think. UPDATE: so from all three plants I got about 130g Purple punch was in at 40g Sour diesel at 41.6g Zkittles OG at 45.4g I have had them curing in 3 litre jars. Purple punch is deffo a favourite to smoke followed by zkittles they both have there very own vibes, sour diesel is also okay but least favourite out of them all. Overall a very successful first grow.

BrownsBuds The three autos I continued to flush this week and turned off the lights on friday morning for the 48 hour of darkness before the harvesting. I have cut off all dead leaves and cut the stem of the plant and hanged upside down in the tent at 50% humidity. I have no lift scales to measure the weights of the plant but will update as it cures. Dr jack auto which is still outside the tent is doing well and now is under the more powerful light.

Happy growing mate 😇 💪 🙏
LegacyMarketFarm
Looks great man. Get that light closer and form up some nice tight buds. Once you are past week 4 of flower begin to open up your temperature gap between lights on and lights off. More than 10 degrees will send stress signals to the plant at this stage that will cause it to chunk its buds up more and produce more resin. Up until week 4 keep the temps tight so the plants do not stretch. Day time temps of 72 lights on is a little cold maybe get that up a bit more to high 70's. If you do not have them already get a PAR meter & thermal temp gun to really help you take advantage of the full potential of your light. If you got the time check out my profile & diary and follow me. If you ever have any questions or need any help please do not hesitate to ask man. Happy growing

@LegacyMarketFarm, I am currently looking for a thermostat device which has a night and day mode. Can’t find any but maybe the wireless remote inkbird but then I will need wifi in the shed. Will do it in time and the next grow will be better.

@BrownsBuds, Thats the attitude man. Growing is exactly that in every sense of the word. Always aim to improve, the ability to reflect on past grows and learn from them plus proactive and reactive decision making are very important qualities for a grower to have. Keep up the great work

Looking good friend keep it up. Generally, cannabis plants need to consume 3 gallons of water a day to produce 1 pound of dry cannabis. We can use this equation and break it down to determine how much or how often we should be giving our ladies a drink.
