I see no reason why it wouldn't work...the plant will prioritize roots over seed as long as your photoperiod is set back to long days. You can ensure they are getting the P and K they need to make beans by just using a good foliar fertilizer on occasion.👍

@Silverback_Guerilla, Absolutely. It was just an after thought. Plus the whole point was kinda to do pollination in a separate area from the flowering plant

@Ezzjaybruh, Honestly, you'd probably have a slightly better chance of success if dusting those branches a day before you cut them so the pollination signals are already sent before the "Houston, we have a problem" signal is sent...but it'll be fun to watch, however it turns out...got my popcorn ready..

@Silverback_Guerilla, i havent but i shoulda domed it or done a ziploc bag over it like i usually do when i take cuts like this. be interesting tho to do an autopsy to see how developed the seed is, if at all.

I'm so excited to see if it works. Like you and SBG were saying the pollinating prior to snipping may work but again trying to keep it seperate is impossible. Question would be if it's attached still wouldn't the whole plant get the signal? I wonder if this may work in a hydro setup? Or at least a propagation tub with nutrient ph balanced water?

@TragicTerps, I think if you just do a branch it works fine.. plenty of ppl do that.. it seems cannabis can work well to kinda delegate each branch to do different shit. It may take away from bud production a bit in other parts tho

@TragicTerps, yeah it probably would work better with my normal cloning set up.. an aero cloner. Anyhow I’ll crack open the buds soon here they’re all about done now. Doesn’t look like much happened but we’ll see
