Zark002 My first grow had some issues at the beginning; I placed the light too far away and overwatered. I thought it wouldn't be possible to save them, but they're showing that they can thrive, so I decided to start this diary too. I have another one in a pot where I will apply my experience with these two, and I already started the diary on my profile. I don't have photos from the first week of these.

Zark002 I transplanted the autoflowering because I'm trying to see if I can still get it to flower on time. I ended up deciding to do a topping on the automatic skunk, then I found out that you can't do topping on autoflowers. Is this going to hurt me a lot?

@Zark002 it really is strain dependent when topping autos some hate it and will grow slower afterwards others will thrive and create a great yielding plant now that you have topped it , you can't undo it so just keep providing ideal conditions / lighting etc and see how it goes . If it doesn't do as well as you may have liked then you will know for next time

Zark002 We're entering the fifth week and the auto skunk looks much better after 48 hours from the top cut, apparently it's branching quite a bit. I transplanted the Somango photo today, it seems a bit weak and yellowed, I think it might have been too much fertilizer, I transplanted it to a larger pot with rich soil and watered it only with water for now, let's see how it responds. I would like to know if it's better for me to remove the older yellow leaves from the Somango? They look pretty weak and deformed. I traveled for 2 days and when I came back the auto skunk started showing the first signs of flowering and you can already smell a sweet and sour scent. The Somango is still quite stunted and recovering from the transplant, let's see how it behaves this week. I still don't know if the pruning harmed it or if it wasn't that bad since I noticed it really favored the side buds and the lower ones forming a somewhat uneven canopy, we'll see at the end. Wrapping up the fifth week on 02/16, they're still growing well, the Somango as much as possible, I'll give it more time. I've been using nutrients since the beginning of the flowering stage on both plants. More information coming soon.

Zark002 18.02 It's still growing, but with all the stress the plant has suffered in this grow, it seems like it will be below average in size. But it's all good; just being able to harvest will be really awesome. It's the first day of the sixth week, and soon there will be more updates. 20.02 It's still growing more pistils, and I see some leaves turning a bit yellow with some burn. I don't know if it's the extreme heat we've been having or if I messed up with the fertilizer. I watered today with nutrients and will keep observing. 22.02 It's evolving well; the heat is still strong around here. I'm thinking about whether I should do some defoliation, but I'm not sure yet…

Hi, could you help with what could be causing this?

If that's the only nute you are using it's possible nute lockout that might be 2 strong causing it. Follow directions used as stated on bottle. If you have high drainage the PPM isn't really an issue once you mix up your feeds with flush in between, make sense? cut down to half, flush after every use. But flush all the same cause I'm sure that nute has everything in it +micros. You'd need to give more info and read it go through NPK, make sure has potassium the list goes on and on NPK is key but there's loads of little things autos need to be a success. Fems have longer growing life meaning they have time for mistakes and missteps. Autos not so much. I'd look into getting an line of these nutes. Look at mine and pick and choose but make sure you have the core 1s in there. NPK, and SULFUR, mg, cal, silica, potash, the list goes on and on. But again if what your using has got u this far it must be good. Try what I said, and don't look to those leafs to change or signs that it's getting better they'll stay like that more or less. Look at new growth. Good luck

Zark002 Everything is going well so far, I think it's progressing nicely. Since this is my first grow, I don't have much to compare it to, but I feel like I'm on the right track. I removed about 3 leaves that were yellowing and reduced the fertilizer a bit because of that yellowing, and I'll keep observing. 03.02 End of the seventh week and we're making progress. Some older leaves are yellowing quickly; is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Fertilizers are at the right dosage according to the manufacturer.

Zark002 04.03 Beginning of the eighth week, she seems to be fattening up well apparently, some older leaves are turning yellow, getting brown at the tips and curling. I don't know if this is normal or if she's lacking some nutrients. I'm going to increase the fertilizer dose this week and see how she responds; if it gets worse, I'll have an idea of what to do. However, the heat here is very strong, and I believe it might be influencing her as well.

Zark002 It's still fattening up nicely, I think it will be another 15 days. I took some photos and there are still no amber trichomes. I also did a recent defoliation. I think it will be another 10 days.
