The stunted NL x Critical are recovering well. Don’t think they’ll be tall plants but excited to see the survivors grow 😜 The GSC germinated incredibly fast and am not sure why there’s such a difference in shape, height etc but I’m 100% sure they would be bigger by now if I hadn’t transplanted the seedlings. The Amnesia Haze is catching up with the others and the leaves got a lovely herby scent. Nothing major though and haven’t had to use my extraction fan/carbon filter. There’s a slight scent coming off the purple, too. I’m really surprised by the growth of the Purple (Silverleaf) The original plan was to grow Lemon haze Autos but when I got the bag of Silverleaf beans, every single one was smashed and unusable except the ‘free’ bean - Hope the purple one won’t let me down 🤓
Pot sizes GSC 10 and 7.5 l
The stunted sisters 10l
Amnesia Haze 10l
Purple 7.5l
I’m now using a blend of compost, coco, vermiculite and ground coffee.
Humidity levels are between 60-70% but rise to 80 + after watering which can be solved by leaving the tent open. My extraction system does bring humidity and temps to normal levels but don’t see the need to waste energy if there’s not much of a smell at the moment.
Hey friend looking good clean tent. Would it be alright if I offer some pointers to help you out? So cannabis plants love heat and humidity. The buds hate it, I notice you got good humidity going so great work with that. But if we look for a bit warmer of temps with lights on and off we will get more vigorous growth. 79-84 MAX with lights on and no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for more than 10 degrees less with lights off at this stage we will get a lot of stretch. If you have not done so look up VPD, Vapor pressure deficit and how it relates to growing cannabis. All new growers should learn this and how to read and use a VPD chart. Also, grab yourself a PAR meter and a thermal laser temp gun like the fluke 62 MAX. These are great tools for helping you read your plants better and grow to their needs.
As we progress into flower temperature control is vital to getting the type of bud development we are looking for. Too hot of temps and our buds will be big and airy and prone to fox tail. Too low and we lose out on a lot of size but get density and tons of cake. Anything over 81 should be avoided after weeks 2-3 of flower. 77-79 seems to be a great temp for lights on to get the best of both worlds size and density. When our plants finish their vertical growth by weeks 4-6 of flower at this stage we want to then allow for larger temp swings. Now we can open it up past more than 10 degrees less with lights off as it will now send extra energy into the plants budding process and resin production. Each passing week opening it up more and more until harvest. Mastering this technique will really help you get a good finish on your product.
