HookahCli I'm going to hold a tournament to see which one has the best vigor in a 150L pot, the rest, those that don't have as much vigor, will stay in a 50L one. I'm going to germinate 6 after a tough decision on which ones to give the chance to compete, it's been hard because others also promise a lot. Barney's Farm has many that look good, but with 2, there's already enough participation: the Mimosa EVO, an American from the California collection, and the LSD, which has a high yield, psychedelic effect, and is famous for winning cups. Original Sensible Seeds looks like it will produce well and yield good seeds. Unknown Kush seems to have a good kush flavor and makes quite a smell. Advanced Seeds White Kush seems to be discontinued, it's not on the website, I was gifted it a few years ago, I'm sure it has a good kush flavor and turns white with resin. Dr. Underground Melon Gum, when I tried it from a friend, I was blown away by the melon bubblegum smell, I searched for it and bought it, today I have it here and we're going to enjoy growing it. I used plugs to germinate the seeds, they'll be there for a week and then we'll move them to 0.85L pots.

HookahCli We are on day 5 since they were placed in the plugs, I prefer the larger jiffies since the plant has a bit more space and these plugs work better for cuttings. 3 have germinated, coming out of the soil: LSD, Mimosa EVO, Melon Gum. We have 2 that are showing signs of coming out soon, which are Bruce Banner #3 and Unknown Kush. It seems that White Kush is not going to make it, and I've started germinating a seed of Meganuska from Elite Seeds because I wanted more. Seles has added a bit of water since the soil in the plugs seems to be drying out. d6 Unknown Kush is starting to peek out. d8 Bruce Banner #3 has died from mold, I probably overwatered, and White Kush isn’t germinating, we assume it's dead.

HookahCli Mimosa Evo and LSD are the ones with the biggest leaves, they seem to be doing quite well. Melon Gum has some small spots, but it looks like it's growing fine. Unknown Kush looks bad, it seems quite weak, to the point that Meganuska, which was germinated 1 week later, is bigger. Meganuska is doing quite well, you can see it better in the last photo (d15/d10) as it's already reaching for the light. They were watered on d12 only with water and on d15 with the ones listed above.

HookahCli This week they've only been watered with water because the Mimosa Evo and Melon Gum are experiencing burns. Unknown Kush will be discarded since the yield it's showing is very poor; Meganuska has surpassed it since, after all, we can't compare Unknown Kush with this specimen we've got, which has problems, and I doubt it will go very far. For now, the rest are evolving quite well, the new leaves have no spots, and the ones that did haven't gotten worse, so they seem to be fine now. It seems like they're stretching; I mean the spacing between nodes. I should lower the light next week depending on whether they continue stretching; we'll lower it.

HookahCli d24 LSD is clearly growing super well, it even looks bigger. The downside is that they have stretched more, I've lowered the light so they don't stretch so much. d26 Next week they'll be moved to 2 LT pots. d28 They're starting to have a thicker stem, they're also putting out new leaves and it seems like they've stopped stretching. They've been watered a little with water. Next week they'll get fertilizers.

HookahCli d32 They are growing without any deficiencies, thickening the stems which are quite robust and producing good leaves. I really like the wide leaves of the Melon Gum. They are going to be transplanted into a 2L pot until the rainy season is over so they can be moved outside without any problems. The one that seems to be gaining in terms of growth vigor is the LSD, followed by Mimosa Evo and then Melon Gum. Meganuska was planted 5 days later, so that difference is noticeable. I have rotated the positions of the plants to better distribute the light among all of them so that the taller ones don’t shade the shorter ones. d33 They have been transplanted into 2L pots and watered a little with water to reduce transplant stress and get them expanding roots. In a couple of days, we’ll have more photos. I lifted the Meganuska a bit so it doesn’t stretch in height. I buried the LSD a little deeper than the rest since it was a bit taller; now they are level. The difference of 5 days of Meganuska compared to the other plants is noticeable. With just 5 days, the difference is that it has one less node, but where it’s most noticeable is in the roots. The roots of the Meganuska don’t reach the bottom of the pot and seem to be filled only halfway, while the roots of the other plants reach the bottom, even if they don’t cover it completely.

HookahCli d39 I can't fit them inside the Indoor anymore, under the small light I have. Rain is still expected for next week, but they don't fit and I'm afraid some will start to flower due to stress, so I'll take them outside and acclimate them. d40 I've taken them outside; they don't get much sun, they're in partial shade. Let's hope they don't start to flower due to the change in photoperiod, there are fewer hours than in the Indoor, it could happen. The good thing is we've moved them out, and now every day the hours of light are increasing, more or less we have 2 more minutes of sun each day, one in the morning and another at night. It gets light earlier and stays light later little by little. If they adapt well, they're going to grow a lot, but if they start flowering, we'll see what we do; let's hope that doesn't happen. I've put some stones on them to hold the pot down; it's 2L, and with any wind, the pot goes to the ground, and we don't want that to happen. I've also removed the first pair of nodes LBP (Lower Branch Pruning), which usually produce branches that don't amount to much. They got burned by the sun; it seems like they were getting direct sunlight and couldn't handle it, and they've dried out. The soil is quite dry, just like many leaves. Luckily, I noticed after a few hours; I didn't expect the sun to be so strong already. I've moved them to a spot where they don't get direct sunlight at any time of the day, and they're only in the shade. They've been watered with a little bit of water to help them recover, and I've put a larger pot outside so that if the sun hits, it doesn't hit the smaller inner pot (2L), which heats up the roots. d42 They've been watered and amino acids (more Pro XXL 42% Amino Acids) have been added since that will help the plant recover. In the afternoon-evening, they get some sun; there's no other place that gets less direct sunlight. The leaves have dried out a bit more, but the new shoots are soft, and it seems like the plants will continue to grow well.

HookahCli d46 They still seem to have dried out a bit more, I'll help them with some amino acids to improve, but the one that looks the best is LSD, followed by Mimosa Evo, then Melon Gum, and to finish, Meganuska, which is the one most affected; it was also the youngest plant, so those days of difference show in the plant's maturity. LSD will surely be the winner and have more space to grow this season; it also seems to be the one that resists and grows the best, with leaves always pointing up, I like that, it shows it's healthy, I have high hopes for it. We'll pray that aphids don't come since they're not in the best conditions now, so I can put preventatives on the plants; I want them to be healthy, to withstand it, and to assimilate well since it caused them a bit of stress. d47 I'm worried that Mimosa Evo will start flowering; if that happens, I'll do apical pruning and transplanting. But anyway, next week is transplant time, then they'll have 1 month to fill the pot and another transplant... d49 They haven't been watered; they'll be watered in a couple of days.

HookahCli d51 It seems like they are recovering, the LSD is making the side branches grow, it has a couple that are quite big for the size of the plant. I'm considering the possibility of doing some apical pruning a couple or 3 times to make a good bush. I would like to wait until next week at least since this week we are going to transplant to a bigger pot. The one I see in worse condition is the Meganuska, but I trust it will recover and move forward. Mimosa Evo and Melon Gum seem to be trying to recover for now, but they are slowly getting better. d53 The transplant has been done, I've put them in pots of different sizes depending on how big they are. Meganuska is in a 10L pot, Melon Gum in a 12L (3Gal) pot, Mimosa Evo is in a 15L pot, and the one with the biggest pot is LSD, which is in a 25L pot. They didn't have many roots, but I hope they push through this week and next. d56 I removed some leaves that only had the stamen left (the little stick of the leaf).

HookahCli d58 They have been moved to their final spot, not their final pot, I mean they will stay there every morning until they are harvested, or at least I will try that, it depends on other future factors, like possible pests, rain, or fungi. d59 Due to the rain and strong wind, Melon Gum has bent its stem and I put a stake to help it stay upright. d60 They look happy, come on, come on, the good sunshine for the body is coming. Soon this is going to explode in growth, it will be non-stop.

HookahCli d68 We've had rain all month of April and the plants aren't getting the hours of sunlight they want. Unfortunately, the LST plant has developed some pistils, and to prevent it from continuing to flower, I'll have to do an apical pruning. The rest of the plants seem to be fine regarding this, but I'll be keeping an eye on Mimosa Evo; it might experience the same thing as the LSD. d69 I did the apical pruning on the LSD in the morning. I also did apical pruning on Mimosa Evo. I watered these 4 plants and 2 more with 8L of water, using the mix from above. d71 They seem to be growing well; I'm still unsure because the LSD looks like it wants to produce flowers. I'll leave it for a week to see how it progresses. Meganuska needs water; the pot is very light, so it will be the only one watered until next week. Insects are starting to arrive; next week I'll start with the preventatives.

HookahCli d75 LSD is looking pretty nice, not like Mimosa Evo which seems to be about to start flowering. We'll see how it goes. It's normal with this weather that just won't stop raining, and even today there have been showers. Next week is supposed to be clear until September, so it should start growing normally soon. Melon Gum seems to be doing better, with the new leaves bigger, and Meganuska is a bit better, but it seems to have stayed small. Tonight I sprayed the leaves with 5ml/l of broad-spectrum insecticide with 10% Cypermethrin (half the dose recommended by the manufacturer). I only use this once or twice a year during the vegetative stage, never during flowering. d76 I did a bit of LST on LSD, Mimosa Evo, and Melon Gum to see if they can branch out more. Megasnuska still needs to grow more if it wants to. I checked the chard plants, which are full of aphids, and it seems like they’re dead, but the red spider mite I have on the eggplant is still alive. Ideally, I would put a Koppert Spider Mite sachet or something similar to do biological control, which is better than using this type of insecticide that ultimately kills both good and bad insects. d77 I added a couple of stakes to LSD to keep it more open and let light reach all the branches. I'm considering removing Mimosa Evo since it seems to be about to start flowering. I’ll probably germinate 1 seed tomorrow, but it will be another diary or I’ll see. d78 They were watered with the mix from above. I hope they grow new branches or become more bushy. Let’s see if Meganuska gains a bit of size and if Mimosa Evo doesn’t start flowering. If it continues, I’ll remove it from the follow-up and it will be set aside from the rest... I feel sorry for it, but if it doesn’t meet expectations, it’s not useful to me.

HookahCli d82 They have been watered, they were quite dry, except for the LSD which has a bigger pot, it lasts a bit longer, but I've recharged their batteries and they're quite big now. I see that some are starting to show pistils, I'm a bit worried, I might cut the tips and see if they relax since they still have more than a month of growth left. d83 I've done a bit more LST on the LSD, it's looking really good. d85 The 4 plants have been transplanted into 50L pots, the one that needs more soil before flowering will go into a really big pot. I hope LSD is one of them, it's quite big. While transplanting, it fell and got a bit squished, but it will recover since it wasn't serious. Also, during the transplants, some lost a bit of root 😔. What I did on day 83 was a waste of time, now none have stakes, some are more laid down than others. Next week we'll see how they're doing and apply LST.

HookahCli d89 They have been watered with plenty of water and have been given a bit of the mixture mentioned earlier. d90 A little LST has been done with stakes, and some defoliation has been done to let light penetrate better to the branches at the back. Since the plants, all 4, are already showing pistils, we're going to mark this week as the first week of flowering, even though the flowering season should start in a few weeks... d92 They have only been watered with water; I see them a bit dark green. I think I might have overdone it with the nitrogen. Anyway, we have the problem that the spring solstice is in 3 weeks, and they are already in flowering... where are my 3 extra weeks of growth? This season is a bit strange; we'll see how things progress in the coming weeks.

HookahCli d103 They have grown like beasts, the melon gum will need a bit more LST, it doesn't fit inside, I'll probably change its spot for the Mimosa Evo, which isn't as big, this looks really good, LSD has the branches in the back much smaller than the front, but it's really big. d106 They have been given a bit of LST so they don't grow upwards and develop more laterally.
