Bloodreina - Bloody Skunk Auto

She's certainly stretched this week, lost her hat and started to produce some small first fan leaves. I've upped the light intensity to 60% to prevent too much stretching and as my other girls are entering full veg currently. I was going to start some nice early LST but as the main stalk has stretched so much I'll wait until she's a bit fatter so maybe another week or two.

A slow week with little to report, she's certainly getting bigger but not amazingly so as yet, I think her roots have taken nicely so we should see some explosive growth over the coming days

She's had a strong week this week, doubled in size but I've had to bend her over early due to the sheer height she was reaching, I'm a little concerned the stem will be weaker than optimal due to the growth structure but hopefully she will he a strong girl.

A really strong week for this lady, she's not super bushy so all the tops are getting light and growing well, she's showing signs of preflower so hopefully the stretch occurs this week although there's not many bud sites at present we'll see how she goes. She looks like she has nute burn but she's not been fed any grow yet, I have added some magne cal into her diet to see if it helps with the symptoms. Grow nutes will be added this week.

She looks to have had another good week, again not loads of growth but some little golf ball bud sites are forming. I've started to feed a single dose of bloom this week but will be dropping back to just grow until next week. The bud sites are really dark purple which isn't what I was expecting from this strain, that and the small growth overall make me think this isn't actually a cheesecake but some other strain that was shipped, still it was a freebie and should get me a small amount of yield, I'd be surprised at an ounce but you never know. No point in stopping her now either way as its always a learning experience. Some of the leaves look like there has been a PH problem or a cal problem but I can't pinpoint the exact cause, everything else is going nicely so I'm not going to worry about it unless it starts getting worse.

Not much growth this week but the buds are certainly gaining weight. I'm quite sure at this stage that she's not a cheesecake, at least not the one I thought. The buds are really purple so it'll be interesting to see how they develop having never had a purple plant before.

Some really nice bud formation for her this week, not the biggest in size but the buds she's producing are rock hard dense nuggets that should start fattening up in the next couple of weeks. I thought I'd be harvesting mid May for her but she looks like she should be ready by the end of April . A bit of research makes me think this is actually a fast buds, bloody skunk, she has the same characteristics and a fast flowering time, either way bring on the purple terps

The flowers are bulking up a bit now and she has a nice fruity grape like smell to her when touched, it has been a bit hot this week in the loft, at times the temps have been hitting almost 35 so I'm looking at a passive cooling solution. I think by the end of the week the repeat buds can be chopped and then wait for the bottoms to ripen.

This girl will be getting chopped in the next day or two, there are still maybe 10% wite pistils but the trichomes are around 90% cloudy and 10% Amber. There's been no additional growth this week so I'll let her drink what's in the container then chop, wet trim and hang to dry. Drying will be done in a diy dry box (cardboard box with intake hole and a PC extraction fan at the top, light proofed with a simple carbon filter) that gets used when no tents are free or the temps are too high in the loft, which it currently is. It's ideal as the harvest is only small and I can move it about for optimal conditions. Next update should be a harvest with a dry and smoke test. I would do a cure test but I'm running low so she'll be straight into grove bags and smoked from there.

A good week this week, this girl was chopped a few days ago and is currently hanging to dry. I've added this as a flowering week as she spent most of the week in flower and the chop came on Friday. I'll add an update of her drying and curing this week hopefully with a quick smoke test.

Nice and easy to grow with no problems, will certainly give this one another shot in future. She has had a few days to cure and smoke really well, there is a slight menthol aftertaste when smoking her and drinking whisky which isn't unpleasant, I'm guessing the profile will change with a longer cure but I'll be smoking her by the weekend so may not get a chance to see.
