I soaked the seeds. Clean water pH=5.7.
In the morning, I transplanted the swollen seeds into sponge cubes for washing dishes, making holes. I moistened them with water pH=5.7 and put them in ziplock bags. Placed them in the tech compartment.

I decided to switch to ProBioTech. Drained the old solution, rinsed the substrate (5 times on/off the pump) with clean water at pH=5.5.
Prepared a new solution:

ProBioTech delta9 MASTER PRO Grow - 0.5ml/L
ProBioTech delta9 MASTER PRO Bloom - 2ml/L
ProBioTech delta9 MASTER PRO Micro - 1.8ml/L
Magnesium Sulfate - 0.4g/L
t = 27C

pH = 5.5
TDS (according to the NPK calculator) = 511ppm + 250ppm water.
I put a wireless micro camera in the box. Connected it through a receiver to the plasma. One click of the remote and the situation in the box is visible on the screen.
You can quickly check the current pH.
Though it's just lying on the lid of the container for now. I still need to come up with a mount to get a view from the top corner and adjust the focus.

I figured out the situation with magnesium sulfate. It is indeed heptahydrate. In the NPK calculator base, it is entered incorrectly, and sulfur is not taken into account at all. The oxide content in it (according to manufacturers' data): MgO - 16.2%, SO3 - 32%. This gives completely different numbers in calculations.
It turns out that I can completely exclude Bloom from the mix (thus saving it for color), reduce potassium, and increase sulfur, while the mix will be even more in line with the recommendations.

Second day on ProBioTech. The plants clearly like it more than the previous mix. The presence of sulfur, calcium, and a higher amount of iron is making a difference. Plus, the lower concentration of NPK at this stage will be better.

I think I'll switch to flowering in about 10-15 days, no sooner. I'll be bending and stretching across the entire area to fill it optimally. Then I'll switch to 12/12, take 2 clones from each female plant, and if there are males, I'll cut them almost completely, leaving a tiny branch with a couple of leaves so the plant doesn't die and the roots don't start to rot.
There's enough height (45-50cm). The only thing that worries me is the low power of the 250W HPS. Its effective distance is really 30cm. I'll try to stick to that.
I just went and bought 2 CFL Delux/20W/6400K/1184lm, one is to replace the cracked 23W, it will be for rooting clones. The second will be for additional lighting either for the mothers or for the buds (at the very bottom) if I exceed the 30cm distance. The 46W/6500K CFL will move to the mother room.
I also bought a GARDENA RP-300 pump. I'll cut a window (that can be closed) on the side at the top of the container and will use this pump for draining and filling the solution, as well as mixing when adjusting the pH.

Day 20
Yesterday I added 1.5L of water with 2ml of pH-down. Lowered the pH from 5.82 to 5.64, TDS from 972ppm to 943ppm. Sprayed with water, then with magnesium sulfate solution.
This morning I added 1ml of pH-down, lowered the pH from 5.71 to 5.4.
pH = 5.4
TDS solution = 927ppm
Ts = 20.1C (solution temperature)

Yesterday the plants started to stink, to the point where the carbon filter couldn't handle it (it has 1.5-2kg less carbon than needed). After adding the acidified water, the smell significantly decreased, but there's still a bit.
I'll have to make 2 additional holes in the section with the filter and cover them all with an additional flat filter about 2-2.5cm thick.
The plants look healthy and happy :D. They're actively sending out side shoots. On Bubblegum #2, the third pair of leaves is already coming out on these shoots. The stem is thicker than a centimeter.

Today I didn't do anything, just sprayed once. So here's just a photo report.

Today I got a bit carried away - I pulled out the duct with the filter, made additional holes in the back wall, and assembled an additional flat carbon filter from 2cm thick slats. The plants were under one 46W CFL and airflow for 5 hours, with the exhaust fan running but with the door slightly open. The temperature stayed at 26C, humidity 56%. I got so caught up with all this that I forgot to take a picture of the filter... But the stink is gone.
I just added 1.5L of water with 2ml of pH-down, ppm dropped to 835, pH from 5.67 to 5.5. I think I'll keep this solution until flowering, maybe add another liter or two of fresh. Then I'll switch to the flowering solution right away.

I changed the solution (the solution was used for 12 days). I noticed symptoms of deficiency in several elements. Apparently, they have drained everything in the last few days of active growth :)
In the mixing order:

Day 57 (31st day 12/12)
I added an ESL-20W/6400K (later I’ll go buy 2 of 2700K/20W instead) for supplemental lighting from below. I placed it on top of the hydro setup, using a beer can lid as a spacer. This way, the temperature at the setup will rise a bit since it’s been hovering around 22C on average.
Now I’m taking daily readings of TDS, pH, solution and air temperatures, as well as humidity, and recording them in an updated grow journal (an updated Excel file). Now I’m building graphs of macro and microelements, TDS, pH, temperatures, and humidity. It turned into a unified working journal for the grower. By reviewing it, I can look back at the report and observe the plants' reactions to any changes through photos and descriptions.
It’s a pity I didn’t start it from the very beginning of the report, so the data for the first half ends up incomplete and averaged on the graphs.

There were about 4 liters of solution left in the container, its TDS was 1310, pH=5.78. I added the remaining 5.5 liters of the solution I prepared last time. The TDS ended up being 1120, and the pH stayed the same. It seems that the pH in the fertilizer itself has risen during the downtime.
I pulled the stems down, moving the plants away from the lamp.
pH = 5.78
TDS of the solution = 1120ppm
Ts = 22.5C (solution temperature)

I slightly increased the micro and gave 30% more MFK. The TDS was 980, pH=5.6. After pouring it into the container and saturating the substrate, the TDS and pH rose to 1040 and 5.81.
It seems that the optimal pH for Bubble Gum during flowering is 5.8. It stabilizes at this value and fluctuates within 0.05-0.1.
New solution composition:
ProBioTech pH-Down - 1.2 ml/L
Potassium Monophosphate - 0.75 g/L
Brexil "Combo" - 0.014 g/L (Brexil combo diluted 10g in 1L. So, 1ml = 0.01g. I take 14ml for 10L)

Day 67 (41st day 12/12, 27th day of flowering)
The day before yesterday, I added 1 liter of acidified water. There were about 5 liters of solution left in the container, its TDS was 1370, pH=5.86. It turned out TDS=1250, pH=5.77.
Today TDS=1410, pH=5.88. Conclusion? The plants drink faster than they eat. There's no point in raising the concentration above 1200ppm, as the next day I'll need to add water again. Concentrations above 1400ppm are uncomfortable for them, which is evident from the small leaves on the buds - they bend down and the middle leaves are slightly twisting.
I added 3 liters of acidified water to the remaining 4 liters of solution. I got TDS=1110, pH=5.78.
I turned the hydro setup 180 degrees to illuminate those buds that were in the shade. After the cycle, I will hang the light closer to the doors, as the back wall gets more light than the front.
I have an idea to conduct an experiment. In the fifth week of flowering, drain the solution and fill it for a day (then drain it and fill it with the regular solution) with a homemade analog of Ripen (4ml/L: P 105/K 166 /Mg 60/S 80):
Magnesium Sulfate Heptahydrate MgSO4*7(H2O) - 0.61 g/L
Potassium Monophosphate KH2PO4 - 0.49 g/L
Valagro Solupotass (Potassium Sulfate) - 0.06 g/L

This should stimulate the plants to accelerate flower growth, i.e., I want to stimulate a wave of flowering. Yes, it’s a small stress for them, but short, and the result could be quite interesting.
If the method works, it could be possible to try conducting a similar procedure every week in the second half of flowering. In the first half, it’s probably not worth doing this, as after several procedures, the leaves may start to yellow and fall off, and in the first half, they are very much needed.

Day 72 (46th day 12/12, 31st day of flowering)
Month of flowering, beginning of week 5. The buds are gaining mass, covered in trichomes and filling with resin. The smell is sweet and sharp, not quite sure what it smells like, bubblegum isn’t noticeable yet :). Today I took out the setup again and did some leaf thinning. I trimmed half of the leaf, cutting the leaves every other one. And still, the middle is very dense and not much light is getting through. At the end of week 5, I’ll do another thinning session.
It’s been 9 days since the last solution was poured, during which time I added acidified water to the container 4 times - 1L + 3L + 3L + 2L, so I added a total of 9L, which is almost equal to the volume of the solution originally poured. I tried to keep the TDS within 1200-1400ppm. There’s no point in raising it higher, as the concentration starts to increase rapidly, and after 1400ppm, it leads to overdose. The small area (of light-exposed leaves) and low lighting power are affecting this. After thinning, I think I’ll keep the TDS at 1000-1200ppm.
Today I drained the solution, rinsed the container with water, and, as planned, poured in 6L of the ripening analog.

After three saturations of the substrate, the TDS of the solution was 800ppm (the initial TDS was 586ppm), pH = 5.55.
I think I slightly underfed the plants with phosphorus during veg. Now I understand that bubblegum likes a bit more phosphorus, especially at the end of veg.
The pouring of the ripening analog should somewhat compensate for the initial (relative) phosphorus deficiency, bringing it to the necessary balance with nitrogen, which has accumulated quite a bit in the plant. The micro will be slightly consumed. Theoretically, after returning to the normal solution, there should be a wave of bud formation with some yellowing of the leaves, especially in the lower and middle parts. These will be removed by the end of week 5.
pH = 5.55
TDS of the solution = 800ppm
Concentration of pure elements in the solution = 426mg/L (according to NPK calculator)
Ts = 22.7C (solution temperature)
t = 27-28C
h = 59-62%

Day 74 (48th day 12/12, 33rd day of flowering)
I kept it for 2 days on the ripening analog. Some of the largest leaves have lightened a bit. But the main thing, as expected, is that the number of new white pistils has noticeably increased :). And this is true at all levels of the plants. There’s also a noticeable increase in the size and weight of the buds. And this is just in 2 days. The experience isn’t over yet, as the main effect should be observed a few days after switching back to the normal solution. Nevertheless, the result is noticeable, and I consider the experience successful.
Today there were 2-2.5L of solution left at the bottom, concentration 1250ppm, pH=5.48. I decided not to drain it but to simply add 10L of new solution with TDS=900, pH=5.63. As a result, it turned out to be TDS=1000ppm, pH=5.6.
New solution composition:

I forgot to switch the timer for the pump, and the bushes stood without watering for about 2 days. Some of the lower leaves drooped, but overall the plants handled this mistake fine.
Yesterday I changed the solution. I prepared the same as last time. Today I added 1.5L of acidified water since a lot of the solution was absorbed by the dry substrate and the pH rose to 6, while TDS increased from 875ppm to 1230ppm.

Since the start of the experiment with pre-flushing until today, the size of some buds has increased by about 1.5-2 times.
Almost all the lower foliage and small buds are already damaged. The pale buds, along with the small sugar leaves, turned a nice dark green color after drying. There's no special smell since I dried everything with a construction hairdryer on the second setting for about half an hour.
By the way, I think this is the best way for quick drying.
You take a construction hairdryer, hang it up, and place a glass 0.5L jar with the buds underneath at a distance of 40-50 cm. The airflow should blow directly into the jar. Every 10 minutes, I turn off the hairdryer and cover the jar with a lid so that the remaining moisture distributes a bit through the stuff, and I hold it like that for a couple of minutes.
Of course, the aromatic compounds evaporate actively, but THC stays put and doesn’t burn like when drying in a microwave or on an iron.
And a little trip report.
We smoked ~0.6g among three of us. The stuff was finely ground, so it seemed like there wasn’t much. We made a total of 3 small water bongs.
A friend who doesn’t know about my grow smoked 2 wet ones, and 5 minutes later, when I offered another one, he said he was in shock and that the weed couldn’t hit like that, especially the lower buds of the underdeveloped green.
It hits softly and smoothly, the first wave comes in about 5 minutes, the second in 10, and the third in 15 minutes. When you’re standing or sitting still, it doesn’t seem to hit you, but if you start walking, it starts to wash over you in constant waves.
My friend was somewhat shocked by the constant high for 2 hours. He felt some effects even after 4-5 hours. He wanted to buy some, but his urge was stopped by a categorical "they don’t sell this weed, only share it, I can’t help you, I can’t even buy it for myself." As a consolation, an hour after getting high, I rolled him another wet one.
Of course, I took a few hits from the leaves, and didn’t feel the effect as strongly. I smoked 3 wet ones. But it hit very pleasantly, in a cultured way, without harshness 8-). For about 2 hours, it was a more or less even plateau, with cool auditory glitches. It was like I started hearing all sounds at once, but without being overwhelming. I’ve noticed more than once that the weed clearly gets along with music and audio in general.
It started to wear off after about 2.5-3 hours, but even after 4 hours, there was a lightness in the body and a slight post-euphoria.
The strain, at least what I managed to taste, I like m/.
The yellowing leaves and some dried tips in the photo are a consequence of the pump not working for 2 days.

Yesterday I cut a few buds. The weight of the wet, manicured buds is 53.25g. I want to give it to a friend.
Also, I did a preliminary manicure of the buds on the plants. I prefer to manicure in 2-3 stages, doing it all at once is too tiring %0.
I think I'll let the plant mature for another 4-5 days and then we can harvest 😁
Результатом я доволен, хоть и знаю, что можно собрать больше. Как я писал ранее в одной из тем - расчет эффективности грова только по соотношению г/Вт, я считаю не верным. Т.к. при малых площадях и более-менее мощном свете, практически невозможно получить 1г/Вт и более. По-этому я решил ввести в формулу расчета и площадь бокса. Т.е. грамм/ватт/кв.м. В моем случае это - 110г/250Вт/0,22кв.м = 2 г/вт/кв.м.
Выводы по проведенному циклу:
1) Периодика для меня лучше DWC. Практически во всем. Шума не слышно вообще, из-за коротких периодов работы (1 мин каждые 2 часа) износ помпы и расход электроэнергии очень мал, благодаря влагоемкому субстрату отключение помпы на 2е суток не привело к гибели или серьезным последствиям для растений, температура раствора практически не влияет на дыхание корней, в отличии от капельных методов субстрат не засоляется, рабой объем раствора может быть даже меньше чем в SWC. Единственный минус по сравнению с DWC/SWC, если не используется безсубстратный метод, - не видно корней. Но для меня это в общем то и не важно.
3) Переливный шланг придется переделать, думаю использовать ПВХ трубку (D=5см), которую использовал для приточной вентиляции.
4) Несколько сложная система вентиляция себя оправдала. Температура в закрытом боксе ниже даже чем при открытых дверцах. Что достигается за счет забора воздуха с самого низа и подвода его почти напрямую к лампе и достаточно равномерного распределения по высоте бокса.
5) ProBioTech - неплохие удобрения, хоть и с не оптимальным соотношением NPK. При наличии простых солей с ним можно делать любые компоты. Достаточно стоек, осадка не наблюдалось даже при смешивании с кальциевой, аммиачной селитрами и сульфатом магния.
6) Bubble Gum - сорт достаточно легкий, веселый, не рубящий в мясо. Под ним прикольно погулять на природе, покататься на машине/мотороллере/велосипеде, да и просто посидеть поболтать в компании потягивая пивко. Отличное средство усиления ощущений от музыки. Чаще всего создает настроение беззаботной радости. В кизяк убивались лишь однажды, сделав по 1 полному металлическому наперсту через водный. Вкус на выдохе - ель с оттенком сырой земли. Увы, никакой жвачки никто не уловил. Вкус хороший, качественный, горло не дерет, но после выдоха может заставить прокашляться. Плотность шишек после сушки - средняя. Но клоны укореняются не очень охотно.
7) Фильтр, из-за меньшего объема угля и малой толщины слоя, не полностью справляется со своей задачей. Придется переделывать или делать выхлоп на улицу.
8 ) Префлушинг на рипене работает, и проведенный в правильный момент, может дать неплохой прирост шишечной массы.
9) Бокс слишком мал, чтоб растить в нем кусты из семок. Впрочем он и задумывался именно под мамки с клонами.

On 10.06.2010, it was decided to cut the bushes and send them to dry. Up to this point, the substrate had dried out and the bushes had wilted. They are now hanging in the box to dry. The ventilation is set to low speed.
As promised, I took pictures of the cut bushes with a proper camera.
