Germ Week1 (Day 1 Feb24)
Stilton and Tropical Berry done directly into a riot cube sat in a bed of biobizz light mix in a solo cup
2 fruity widow seeds sat into a wet paper towel in a ziploc bag
Feb 27 - no real move from the widow's in the bag, so i moved one of them into a riot cube
Mar 1 - action from stilton, but the others not really doing much.
Mar 2 -widow 2 is dead. went to the shop and got myself a barney's farm critical kush, into a paper towel
What's the plan here?
Hoping for 4 different strains to give me 4 different reactions to the same conditions and maybe I'll find something that likes the space i've set up
I've never done direct to substrate before, but seems to work fine. Doing the kush in a bowl just because it feels more comfortable to me, but likely not a big deal
What are we doing different this time?
Try to watch and maintain temp and humidity as well as possible.
In seedling I'll look to mist the riot cube once per day, in the morning, with a tiny bit of water
As soon as the first set of leaves touches the edge of the cup i'll transfer to final pot and hopefully have some micro-r to help the transition
Looking to maintain as little LED headroom as possible, to try and get the nodes really close
Aiming to top at node 3 once I see node 6 just start to pop out
Feed once per week and water once per week.
Veg Week1 (Day 8 Mar2)
Aiming for a little spritz of water each day to keep things nice and moist without loading the solo cup with water. Also a few spritz into the bag to keep the humidity as high as possible in there
Heights at Week Start
Stilton - 5cm
Tropical Berry - 3cm
Fruity Widow - 2cm
Critical Kush - 0cm
Mar2- no news
Mar3- everybody's out and moving,
Mar4- great shape all round, fingers crossed for a stronger grow this time. kush a little slow to germinate but she's there so she's getting planted... can't leave her
Mar5- i'm away from the house for 2 nights...... pls be ok
Mar6- everybody in good shape, kush hasn't come out yet, husk still hanging on to the tropical berry
Mar7- n/a
Mar8- n/a
Veg Week2 (Day 15 wednesday Mar9)
Bags still on, but they're getting tall inside there, still doing a couple of sprays of just water about once a day
Heights at Week Start
Stilton - 9cm
Tropical Berry - 7cm
Fruity Widow - 3cm
Critical Kush - 6cm
Mar9- great looking set of girls, except the fruity widow who doesn't look great, and the perlite balls have gone a bit green... kush looking fantastic now
Mar10-
Mar11-
Mar12-
Mar13- kush into second place now I'd say, ahead of tropical berry. stilton still banging nice, fruity widow ain't gonna make it methinks
Mar14-
Mar15-3 great plants, stilton still powering ahead as the favourite
Veg Week3 (Day 22 wednesday Mar16)
First day of the week I've done a little feed, but for the rest of the week I think it'll be sprays of water until transplant. Final homes are now ready - 15L fabric pots with a mix of biobizz light mix and all mix. Biggest problem is that I know the humidity in the tent is super low ~28% during the day. I'll have to get a humidifier. The bags were helping. I'm guessing the humidity in there is 50% or higher, but that can't keep going because the bags are touching the leaves, so i've added in a ratchet humidifier...
Heights at Week Start
Stilton - 10cm
Tropical Berry - 8cm
Fruity Widow - 3cm
Critical Kush - 9cm
Mar16- 3 good looking plants, 1 runt, fed the girls for the first time today - 30ml of tea each from a 500ml jug with 1ml each of root juice, bio grow and bio heaven
Mar17- freedom from the bag cells, wet towel added to the oil rad
Mar18- new DIY humidifier. the towel was dry within a couple of hours, so we'll see how much longer I can keep up the humidity without buying a humidifier
Mar19- towel seems to dry out pretty quickly too, but humidity seems to be above 40 or 50% most of the time now... hopefully that'll help
Mar20- transplant day
Mar21- no water today, leave them alone
Mar22- no water again today, but I've made up a feed and i'm going to leave it in the grow space to get up to a better temp and feed tomorrow
Veg Week4 (Day 29 wednesday Mar23)
For 3 weeks worth of veg I still think these plants look really really small... i clearly haven't the slightest clue what I'm doing or why they're not taking to the environment. Got a new battery for the hygrometer so now I can see how the environment sets up across the day...
At the end of the week, the graph show that the temp range is pretty ok, swinging from 36 in the day to 21 or 22 at night... humidity requires intervention. when i go up there with a wet towel for the rad, it jumps but it doesn't stay there for more than a few hours. need a large volume humidifier for these early weeks

Mar26- about 150ml plain water
Mar27- no water
Mar28- about 150ml plain water
Mar29- no water
Veg Week5 (Day 36 wednesday Mar30)
Environment is just so variable... not sure why my oil radiator is so terrible at maintaining a temperature. But i'll defo have to get a humidifier. Also, no sensor for PPM CO2, so that's on the list also.
Ok.... so I've hacked into my houses ventilation system and connected the co2 filled air being sucked out of various rooms of the house and directed it into the bottom of my tent, then I've connected my AC infinity unit to the roof vent.... here's hoping there's a bunch of extra co2 and circulating air to help growth. Next will be a humidifier.... order is in.
Overall for the week it looks like my temp can suffer from random cold days, but on average sits between 21 and 33C, with humidity waving between 27 and 40%... super low
Heights at Week Start
Stilton - 18cm
Tropical Berry - 13cm
Fruity Widow - gone
Critical Kush - 13cm
Mar30- no water again
Mar31- feed day -2L of warm water (cold tap left next to the rad for a day), plus 3ml grow and 5ml heaven. it got really cold last night and the temp overnight dipped to 15C for a few hours.... that's not going to be good
Apr1- no water
Apr2- no water
Apr3- 600ml plain water each
Apr4- no water
Apr5- no water
Veg Week6 (Day 43 wednesday Apr6)
Topping and LST to kick off this week. Never done it like this before but found a youtube video, aiming for each plant to have 5 nodes, then clipping the top off with a little scissors. Then i pulled them to bend over and expose the lower sites to the light. Makes sense, but we'll have to see on the results. I can't say I've noticed any obvious change from the new vent system that's pumping the air from the house into the tent before it goes out the roof, but then again I don't have CO2 ppm data on either side of it either. Humidifier arrived on Monday Apr 11th, so hopefully we'll have some more steady RH numbers going forward and I'll be able to keep it to 50% plus. That should surely make a difference
Heights at Week Start (this week a bit weird with the LST)
Stilton - cm
Tropical Berry - cm
Critical Kush - cm
Apr6- feed day -2L of warm water with 2.5ml grow and 4ml heaven
Apr7- no water
Apr8- no water
Apr9- 600ml plain water each

Apr19- DIY drip
Veg Week7 (Day 50 wednesday Apr13) - probably the last week of veg... still super stunted
Heights at Week Start
Stilton - cm
Tropical Berry - cm
Critical Kush - cm
Apr20- DIY drip
Apr21- arrived back, 1 bottle empty, 1 bottle with 1/3 gone from it and 1 bottle didn't drip at all... all plants look great though!
Apr22- feed day - 1L each with 2.5ml/L heaven and 1.5ml/L grow - stilton is super congested.... air flow is not going to be great there, might need some tough defoliation before flowering
Apr23- away
Apr24- away
Apr25- no water, gave them a bit of a haircut removing the leaves and bud sites that are closest to the centre of the plant, trying to get out to just one bud site at the outside of the plant, but in some cases leaving a second site back along the branch that i think might break through the "canopy"... still all very stunted
Apr26- still no water, they look good, so i'll just give them a first flowering feed to kick off flower tomorrow
Flower Week1 (Day 57 wednesday Apr20)
Moving to 12/12 and starting the bio-bloom. Might look to reduce the humidity in a few weeks, but hoping to keep it above 40-45% for now.
Heights at Week Start
Stilton - 10cm
Tropical Berry - 9cm
Critical Kush - 12cm
Apr27- first flowering feed, 1.3L each (4L with 4ml grow, 4ml heaven, 2ml bloom), flipping to 12hr light cycle and increasing the light intensity, i've also raised the light slightly to see if she'll reach up for it
Apr28- no water
Apr29- no water
Apr30 - away (should have given them some water before leaving)
May1 - away
May2 - away
May3 - back.... and the girls are not in good shape. left them too long without water. gave them each about 600ml of plain H2O and will look to feed maybe day after tomorro

May23- 1L for . Also adding some epsom salts to kush to see about those yellow spots
May24-
Flower Week5 (Day 85 wednesday May25)
Getting some yellowing and drying in the leaves, which is to be expected. Steadily increasing the water and light intensity.... these plants are all still so small and thin.
Heights at Week Start
Stilton - 27cm
Tropical Berry - 39cm
Critical Kush - 41cm
May25- feed day - 1.5L each with 3ml bloom, 2ml grow, 2ml heaven - each of them had run off come through the soil, out through the fabric pot and into the tray.... but within a few seconds that was all soaked back up through the fabric into the soil.... i wonder how that's happening?
May26-
May27- looking at the sensor data, it looks like the tent got too hot during the day time... really need a better system for controlling the temp/humidity within a range
May28- 2L plain H2O each, lots of runoff on the kush, but she had it all soaked up fairly quickly
May29- soil still seems damp enough this morning, good bit of yellowing and browning on some lower leaves of the tropical.. no yellowing on the stilton
May30-
May31-
Flower Week6 (Day 92 wednesday Jun1)
So an overall pretty weak grow again, super stunted. Something's still very wrong in what i'm doing.

Jun2
Jun3
Jun4 - 2L plain water each
Jun5 - away

Jun7
Flower Week8 (Day 106 wednesday Jun15)
