After soaking overnight in distilled water, the seeds were placed into Jiffy Pellets and into a greenhouse box. Seedlings started sprouting within a couple days. I started with 12 total, but a few accidents caused by windy weather and a dog caused a few to die early. I have 7 seedlings left and they are looking good. They dont get quit as. much light as i would like and the weather is a little colder than ideal. But i'm not worried at all, I do try to supplement some light in the mornings and evenings with crappy little lights i clamp nearby. I plane on another grow later this year also, so this can be considered a warm up.
We had some tough weather this week and has tested the strength of these plants. Some rain for a couple days was a nice change, what really scared me was the wind. Had some some strong winds that blew my little plants sideways before I had a chance to add some protection. By the next day it looks like they have started to straighten out again. Have noticed some signs of bugs but no real damage or reason to worry yet.
Been a good week. Started watering with tap water instead of distilled. Have notice many more bugs on the plants. One appears to have been or still is having issues with a leaf miner or caterpillar. The leaves have suffered lots of damage, but I may have killed the culprit. Luckily I work from home so I can check on them and clear any pests as needed.
These plants are growing well, still seeing lots of little bugs flying around, but not much damage. I have topped three of the plants, I’ve never tried this so hopefully I did it correctly. They seem ok a day later. Will start using nutrients soon.
Had a lot of rain one day and and the plants are loving it. The nutrients have started at half the directed amounts. Still seeing some bugs but they don’t seem to be a problem. The dos si dos is much taller than the rest.
These plants have been growing well. We are having some pretty windy and cold weather, so I’m wondering if that is what is causing the droopy or they have been overwatered.
