Two feminised seeds will be germinated. One (perhaps two) of which will be the mother of 9 clones. Hanging bag method in combination with Serious Seeds' excellent germination rates leads to perfectly straight tap roots.

One of the seeds sprouted a double tap root. Any experiences with how the plant will develop? Is it worth keeping? Many thanks!

I just had a double seedling myself. Separate them after they sprout. If they both look good you can probably plant the second one in a separate pot. In my case there was a dominant one and a mini seedling, so I just culled the tiny one and kept the large one. Check out my blackberry and Forbidden runtz grow journal if you want I have a picture of it.

They receive natural light at the moment until some other space is freed up. They're in a small dome to keep humidity around the seedling higher.

The twins unfortunately died... So I had to germinate an extra seed. Germinated four seeds in total because number three didn't germinate at all after three days using the same method. Fortunately, Serious Seeds keeps its word and sent me a new pack of seeds without much discussion. :-D

Not much to say. They're healthy and growing slowly. However, thanks to unusual large amounts of natural light they haven't stretched at at all, which always makes life easier ;-).

They've finally been transferred to the cabinet and are receiving 18/6, 50W, with only one bar on. Does anyone know what the bug is called? See pics. Just curious. They aren't a threat as long there aren't too many of them. I almost always see them at some point. Yellow, sticky, pesticide-free trap cards are an efficient way of pest control.

Healthy Kush Mammas :-D Giving Cannacure to see if I can get rid of the very few thrips nematodes I see. Lit second bar: 100W from now on. Watered 1 l each with the usual stuff added.

Removed a pair of the larger leaves to allow for more light to hit the side branches. As the pics show I've introduced a couple of ladybugs to see if they can actually be used for pest control. They've survived but look quite passive.. Not sure there's enough for them to eat :-).

They're doing fine. The lady bugs have packed their bags and left... ;-) Removed some leaves to allow for the light to reach the lower shoots. We're about 10-14 days away from clones to be taken. Didn't spray with Canna Cure the past week.

Reduced fertilizer to 5 ml/l to lower EC and prepare for taking clones. Reduced Rhizotonic to 2 ml/l. Defoliation seems to have a good effect as the side branches are getting longer and almost overtake the central stem. The pictures speak for themselves. :-)

Took 12 clones from both mother plants on 6-5. Used root hormone, root stimulant and peat cubes by Growth Technology. Lowered pH to around 6.0. They're under 50 W (one bar lit). 7 out of 12 clones rooted within 8 days. 9 out of 12 rooted within 9 days. Planted these 9 today (15-5) in a SOG setup. Lights are at their highest with one bar lit: 50 W.

Decreased light cycle to 13/11. Removed some of the lower, smaller leaves to increase airflow and re-distribute carbon to the bud sites. Update 3-6: removed some of the larger top fan leaves for the same reason, and increased Bio Flores to 12 ml/l. Switched to bloom fertiliser; 420 ml per pot.

Decreased light period to 12/12 and over the last week the light cycle has been shifted from being on during daytime to being on during nighttime. This might save some electricity and ensures lower temperatures when the light is on during the warmer summer days. Despite defoliation and my expectation they stretched a lot (10-15 cm) during the past 10 days or so. No complaints though as they fill up the cabinet nicely and are thriving wonderfully. The BioCanna soil is performing great. The plants soak up more water compared to a previous and equal setting while using BioBizz Allmix. As the macro pics show the first trichomes are appearing...

Steady progress. They seem to stall a bit compared to around two weeks ago. Judged by the weight of the pots upon watering they're taking up less water, despite higher overall temperatures. I've watered with up to 15 ml/l BioCanna Flores but reduced it to 12 ml/l again because some leaves show discoloration which could be because of too much K. Especially the lower leaves are affected by munching trips. Hung up an extra yellow, sticky card. Not worried, just trying to keep the attack under control.

To ME, first of all it's not an excess of anything but rather a deficiency... and I'd be willing to bet it IS potassium ... which leads me to think your PH is not in a good range so that's the first thing I would check... Potassium is absorbed best in soil at a pH level of 6.0-6.5 (it's different for soiless). I would shoot for a PH of 6.2 so you don't run into issues with any other nutrients. Do you check the PH of your runoff? If you don't, you need to do so as you might have some lockout issues and need to do a flush if the PH of the runoff is badly out of whack (and then get back to your normal water/feed schedule) ... If you don't have a PH pen, the best advice I can give to ANY grower is to invest in one - having the ability to balance the PH accurately wards off many, MANY grow issues and resolves issues that DO crop up. Good luck!

your plants look N heavy so dial the N down a bit at this stage and you can hit it with epsom salts a couple of times but its not gonna bring that leaf back most probably. once the plant starts cannibalizing leaves it not a reversable deal though a sensible dose of epsom will stop its spread.

Thats not a toxic. Its a def. Most like Magnesium a later stage def. Anything with trace elements in it. Bring your ph around the 6 mark. Up your Mag. You can add epsom salt which will have mag sulphate or your need a calmag. Good luck.

Thrips infection might prevent these lovely flowers from showing their full potential... Will start flushing passively the coming week. Will switch to 11/13 the coming week. There are two distinct phenotypes in terms of flowering time visible as the pics show.

Yield was probably much less than it potentially could have been. The thrips invasion took a lot of the plants' strength.
