Nothing significant to report for week one. I haven't fed them any nutrients, as my soil - Roots Organics - should get them by for about the first two weeks.
Still chugging along with no issues. I held off on feeding them nutrients until they were twelve-days old. I've noticed that the plant on the left is very PH sensitive.
Still growing strong with no big issues. Early on I noticed noticed that both plants had spring tails in the soil. After much stress and a lot of research I learned that they will not destroy my crop and some believe that they are signs of healthy soil.
I cannot believe the explosive growth that has occurred over the past week and a half. The plants have more than doubled. This week I added a flower booster to their feed now that’s that the ladies are in flower. Upon inspection today I noticed very small and dry white and orange specks. I hope they aren’t a sign of an issue.
So far this grow has been much easier of a grow than my last grow and my last grow was a breeze. I believe the plants are pretty much-done stretching -- at least I hope they are because I cannot raise my lights and higher and the lights are currently 10 inches away from the main colas. This past week I had to kink one plant's main stem like an "S" to prevent it from touching the light. A little defoliation was also performed on both plants in order to help expose lower bud-sites to the light as well as lower the relative humidity.
This is still proving to be an easy experience. Although, this past week I realized that due to the small distance between some colas and the LEDs some leaves are showing a Cal-Mag deficiency. In an effort to curtail the deficiency's advancement I introduced a higher dosage of cal+mag pro.
Another easy week in the books. I was able to slow the Cal-Mag deficiencies I was experiencing the past two weeks almost down to a complete stop. I decided to flush my plants with a half gallon solution each, Ph'd at 6.6 with nothing but 3g/gal of Cal-Mag pro. As you can see from the pics on the colas are really starting to fatten up and pack on some weight. There are buds sites all the way down to the base of the plant. I am excited to see the final yield, but even more excited to smoke it!
Another productive week down! They are still packing on weight, so much so, some of the branches are starting to fall over due to the weight of the colas. Most trichomes are milky white so next week I've decided to start their two-week flush where I'll only feed the plants water and Sweet Candy.
Right in time for Autumn the ladies' beautiful green leaves are begining to fade to yellow. I originally believed that these two plants had several more weeks left, but after examining their trichomes I have made the decision to being their week long flush, meaning they will be harvested next weekend on day 70. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined them finishing so quickly.
Cheers and growers love,
PeeWee
This was a very smooth grow for me and I was more than pleased with my overall yield, considering I was able to pull just over 8oz dry. I was thoroughly surprised by how much they stretched during pre-veg and had to adjust quickly because I was not prepared to deal with their height.
