Planted seed directly in pre moistened Fox Farms Happy Frog. Set humidity to 78 and temp to 78. Added a capful of water directly over seed location. Broke through the soil in 4-5 days. Watered with capful of r/o water. Watered again at day 7 with a mist.
Everything was going smoothly until day 12. The plant was laying over. I added more soil mix to support it up. Watered with a small amount of ro water. Doing well now.
Top dressed with Gaia green and watered with 1000 ml r/o water. Did minor LST. Just the top bent over. Watered again Sunday with 1000 ml even though still a little moist on meter since I will be away two days. Light is very hot on top and has electrical smell. Ordered a new one and contacted Spider Farmer about warranty. Light was purchased in Oct and has only been through one prior grow.
Watered 1000 ml every other day. Did more LST and leaf tucking. End of the week I defoliated large fan leaves that were blocking light. Having a real problem with fungus gnats. Ordered some food grade Diatomaceous earth and Garden Safe Insect killer to try.
Top dressed with 5 Tbl of Gaia Green Power Bloom. Dusted soil with food grade Diatomaceous Earth to help control gnats. Not sure if it helped or lowering the humidity helped but they are better now. Tied down some branches and did light defoliation. I watered about every other day with r/o water. She looks green and healthy right now. I hope it holds up. 😊
Not much going on this week. Watered as needed and did a little LST. This is the last week that I’ll do any LST. I’m just gonna let her grow from now on and defoliate as needed. I turned up the exhaust fan but it’s making it harder to keep the temp up. Heater is set at 75 but stays more around 70 in the tent. Looking good so far.
Wasn’t home much this week so I didn’t get many pics. Top dressed with Gaia Green towards the end of the week. Getting some yellowing leaves. I thought maybe I was overwatering but watered less and plant wilted a bit so I don’t think that was it. Brewing a compost tea now to feed in a couple days. ( 2 gallon r/o water, 1 c Worm castings, 1 Tbs alfalfa meal, 1 Tbs kelp meal and 2tsp bat guano). I’ll see if that helps any.
I brewed a compost tea and watered with it this week. I don't know if its made a difference because the leaves are still yellowing. I'll do some more research and maybe try another one next week. Other than that things look good, the buds are filling out some. I'll gladly accept any suggestions on the yellowing leaves.
Buds are starting to fill out. Watering every other day. Still having yellowing leaves but all in all not bad for second grow 😄 Starting to smell strong!
Just water every other day again this week. It seems like she’s come to a standstill. Trichomes are mostly cloudy but very few amber. I’m afraid to let her go much further so tomorrow morning she’s coming down. I’m worried if I’ll be able to keep the tent cool enough for drying because it’s in a part of the basement that’s not temperature controlled and we’ve had temps in the 90’s this week and next week looks the same. I hope it doesn’t dry too fast. We will see. Looking forward to tomorrow and the week ahead 😄
I enjoyed growing this strain. I’ve grown it once before. It was my first grow then. It was requested by a family member that I do it again. This time went much smoother! I personally haven’t tried this grow yet but two people have told me it was very good. I love the smell! I had trouble keeping the temp down when I was drying. It dried in 5 days. Still doing the cure but some couldn’t wait. Lol 72.53 grams dried
