Love it, I first start growing peppers and now cannabis. I was wondering if could use this diaries for my next pepper season and I guess you can !!!

Let's open the season with something unusual.
My dad asked for something really spicy this year and I'm here to document the journey.
Here the seeds I purchased:
-Carolina Reaper Red
-Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Red
-Red Bhutlah
-Big Black Mama
Germination phase is the hardest part since these seeds need constant 22-23°C and 90% humidity.
(Actual outside temp is 0°-20°C while inside house 19-20°C)
I followed the instructions and suggestions of the seller: 48h in water and the direct in the soil using food film and putting them near the internet modem for a free constant source of heat.
They can take from 8 to 30 days for germinating.

Of course this is not the real Day 0, most of them are already more than 2 weeks old, but since they all sprouted in different moments I decide to start counting from today.
Why today?
Today I proceeded with transplant in slightly bigger pots and basically threw away the the unborn ones.
Also from now on they will stay in a closed shelter outside, not warmed.
In the end we have:
-Carolina Reaper Red: 8 of 10
-Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Red: 1 of 5
-Red Bhutlah: 4 of 5
-Big Black Mama: 4 of 5
I will not update every week given the slow grow.

Summer heat is here.
Lost the control of the babies.
Some of them where slowly yellowing and dying, some actually died. Still no idea why and what was/is going on.
My dad took all of them and transplanted in the open field, without labels or whatever so I'll know what they are only when there will be (eventually) fruits.😅
Drinking tap water only
I will not update every week given the slow grow rate.

Ok this is a very sad update.
Few days after being transplanted in open field a big hailstorm came and destroyed most of them.
We will see if someone will survive :(
Remember the 4 newborn Moruga in week5? They were still in the shelter and ended being all what I have remaining now :(

Quick update.
Two of the morugas moved in the field and 2 transplanted in a 13L geotextile pot with universal soil and a good amount of perlite.

Potted morugas keep growing. They're drinking water only now, they seem to prefer it.
In the field we have some fruits! The black ones are the mama for sure, the red ones idk. I would say bhutlah o moruga.
My dad tried the mamas... 💀He said that these should be illegal. 😅

Very nice, looks like you have some burn your face off peppers😱😵...
I have a tent full right now, lots of peppers and tom. I planted some yellow
Hungarian Wax peppers but only two popped so I'm going to try again, supposed to be stupid HOT!!!
Cherry Tom., Roma Tom., Brandi Wine Tom., Betterboy Hybrid Tom., Scotia Tom., Cayenne peppers, Banana peppers, Jalapeno peppers,
Habanero peppers and some Serano Peppers. Some will stay in the tent and some will go outside as soon as the weather cooperates,
-1celcius this morning with a little frost, so we wait😑...

They'll bounce back. Peppers are very resilient cultivars! As long as no over watering takes place in the next couple weeks, they will be fine. Happy growing my dude and good vibes ✌️
