They were transplanted into Fox Farms Coco Loco mixed with more perlite. I shouldn’t have to feed them for a while so until flower i probably won’t add any Soil A or B.
Day 18: Cropped at 4th node, will be training them down soon
Day 20: Trying my own version of Topping+Training in a zig zag pattern
The seedlings are getting so top heavy growing fast. The stem can no longer support all the weight of 2 of the seedlings, and I have had a fan on them 24/7. Is this normal? It’s not stretching FYI. I try not to give them a crutch to lean on so they grow stronger. Any Ideas?
Hey man, it’s time to move your light closer to the plants or vice versa. They’re probably stretching for light. can’t see a pic upload one.
If you’ve got an adjustable ballast you can turn it down till they grow a little if not don’t lower it too far. 50cm will be fine, I’ve had my HPS much lower than that.
Whoops! I don’t know why I didn’t listen to my intuition telling me not to use the whopping dose H&G has for flower week 1. Poor things are all looking a bit too greened out.
@PharmaZ, Yeah I wonder if house and garden contains other misc plant hormones. And I’m pumping them with co2 also, they are taking off and turning into mutants lol
@LumberjackBuds, yep! Last year I grew a Afghan kush x black domina it mutated on 1 branch, the branch it mutated on was the “2nd top” (the first branch top to take dominance after LST on the main stem). I’ve only seen it on kush plants and hybrids. I think it has something to do with the auxins! It will look awesome. I search for the pic and post it on 1 of my diaries👍🏼
Yes mate, probably little transplant shock. It can take a few days to recover or a few hours if you use b-vit and mykos help. I just transplanted my sugar black rose within an hour she was back up leaves perked up👍🏼
@PharmaZ, Ah ok. I have the same idea now except it’s less of an arch, I had to work close to the stem base because of the size of my pots. So currently all of em are bent to the sides of the pots and are straightening out, once side branches grow out I will train them down too. This is working out best on my sundae Driver, my favorite plant right now lol. It was a clone and had 2 main stems to work with so I tied both down and it’s looking good! The massive 15 gal pot helps with the training too.
@LumberjackBuds, I don’t top autos unless by accident. Not saying you can’t do it without huge success I just think LST is nice and works for me.
If you would like to see how I personally do it then I will be doing to my Sugar Black Rose very soon will let you know.
If I was to explain briefly in words how to do it. There has to be an arch shape with the very top of the stem branch. When you start you just get the top bend it so it’s pointing down towards the soil this is what encourages the growth from the side branches. Then you start to LST the branches along with the main stem always making sure the main stem is the lowest in terms of height of your canopy. I’m sure you get the idea. These are just words for reference👍🏼
@PharmaZ,It’s been a few days, still kinda slow. I think in the future I’m gonna scoot or LST instead of getting crazy. I like FIM better too. Anyways they were a bit rootbound when I transplanted into coco. The leaves are starting to show lockout probs so Idk where to even start with the hot soil and nutes
Lucky guy ! My last Grape Kush from the CC was a male when it was supposed to be 99,9% female....
The plant was very beautiful, a bit like yours , I really hope you’ll get the best quality from it 👍
