You will not be able to tell the sex of the plant till it enters the flowering stage. This will happen automatically if the plant is an Auto, if its a photoperiod it will happen when the light shceile is changed to are 12/12, or 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark.
Depending where you got your seed from may give you a hint of what the sex is.... If it was bag seed or seed you found in buds you purchased, there is a high chance it is a hermi, both male and female, these plants are not desired.
