Starting the seedlings in solo cups in the same tent with my Tangerine Dream autos that are just finishing up. Wish I had a separate tent and light but I don’t. Only one more week for the autos so they will have the tent to themselves shortly so I can increase the humidity. I will be transplanting the seedling into a 5 gallon pot at the end of the week. The ultimate goal is to get it outside in a 60 gallon pot as soon as the daylight exceeds 14 hours.

Transplanted seedlings to 5 gallon pots this week. No shock so far. She looks pretty healthy but really needs more light. I can lower the light as soon as my current autos get harvested which I hope is any day now. Still giving weak solution of REMO nutes.

Keeping plants inside until light schedule improves outside. I am spraying the leaves once a week with a mixture of Floraflex veg foliar spray and photosynthesis plus. Top dressing some Gaia Green all purpose plant food a couple of times a week. As soon as I have 5 nodes I will top this plant.

Started out this week with a case of fungus gnats. Trying everything to get rid of them…diatomaceous earth, cider vinegar in a bowl, lost coast plant therapy. They are persistent for sure. Plants look healthy otherwise though. No negative effects from topping. Moved back into 2x2x4 tent now that my autos are done.

Fungus gnats are finally gone. Plants look very happy and healthy. I am feeding primarily with Super Seaweed and Root Excelurator. I am adding Gaia Green once a week, spraying with foliar spray made up of Photosynthesis PLUS and Super Seaweed. I did some light defoliation to allow light to get down to new growth. I am doing very light LST, I plan on training the plants in a wire cage once outside.

Plants are getting taller this past week! They look super healthy with lots of new growth. I am starting to reduce their light every few weeks to get them down to 14 hours by May 15th when they go outside. I did some more light defoliation this week and I am now adding the Agsil to strengthen the plant before it moves outside. My hoop house is also ready to go now. I covered it with bug netting to try and keep the pests to a minimum. I can’t wait to get this plant outside and see what she does in a 60 gallon pot!

Plants are looking really healthy but the fungus gnats have returned full force…babies have hatched form the soil form the previous infestation I think. Treating with Lost Coast, Diatomaceous Earth and yellow stick traps. I also cleaned out the entire booth to remove excess moisture from the bottom of the tent. I did another round of defoliation to expose the new growth to more light and I did some more LST to open up the center of the plants. They were getting too bushy. I am going to move them outside next weekend after I can acclimate them over the next week. Fingers crossed…I am really nervous about how they will do in this difficult environment. I have preventative measures in place but I fear this is going to be a real challenge to get them to harvest. On another note, I have secured the items I need to make feeding easier. I got a 55 gallon drum to mix my nutes, a pump that I can attach a hose to that will go inside the tank and a remote control switch that will allow me to turn It off and on from across the yard. I think this set up will be a lot easier than hauling 5 gallon buckets back and forth.

I moved the girls outside this week into their 60 gallon pots. The weather took a turn and they had a rough first night but they seem to be fine. With all of the rain, I have not had to feed them much. I got the water barrel set up with the pump and it seems to work fine. I am going to try feeding them with straight water first til almost soaked then finish with the seaweed extract mixture until there is run off.

Wow, this was the week from hell weather wise. 7 days straight of rain, 50 degree temps and winds gusting over 40 mph. I had a few restless nights worrying that my hoop house was going to collapse and crush my plants. Remarkably, the plants did well and are even showing some new growth. Maybe they liked all that rain? The only downside is that I have not been able to feed them any nutes because they are so wet. The forecast looks much better for next week so I am expecting a surge in growth now that they are in their 60 gallon pots.

The weather has improved this week. She is finally getting some much needed sun and is starting to shoot up. I still have not had to water because the pots are not drying out yet. I have started doing some more LST now that branches are getting long enough to go through the wire fence. I am starting this schedule once the pots are ready for water again. Water, feed, water, feed, etc. the feeding solution will include Super Seaweed, Roots Excelurator and Agsil. Once a week she will get a Mikrobs tea, Lost Coast spray on Wednesdays and a Foliar Spray on Sundays containing Photosynthesis, Fungacide and seaweed. It is going to be super hot over the weekend 96 degrees with high humidity. We shall see how they do in those temps.

Another really rainy week here, my plants are not drying out much with so much rain coming down. The forecast improves for next week. They are looking healthy, no signs of any deficiencies. Something has been munching on a few of the leaves so I sprayed some Lost Coast. They are finally growing through the fencing now on their own so I will remove the tie down ribbon. Pretty uneventful wee which is a good thing with an outdoor grow.

Plants look good this week, I still feel like there may be some sort of pest issue arising. I see a few spots on the leaves where they have lost pigment. I have been spraying every few days with Lost Coast to combat the problem. I also decided to put more space between the plants because they were starting to crowd each other, so I moved the pallets another foot or two apart. I rotated the pots to even out the light exposure and I did more defoliation at the base of the plant.

Had a bit of a growth spurt this week. I rotated the pots to even out the grow. I am a little worried they aren’t getting enough sun, but maybe that will help keep them at a more manageable size. Overall, looking healthy! I am still alternating between lost coast and captain jacks foliar spray every few days for pest prevention. Fungicide spray once a week. Giving nutrients about twice a week at this point due to all the rain…they never seem to need much water.

We went out of town this week so I had my house sitter water. I saw a few leaves with PM so I pulled them and treated. Plants really stretched this week, I’m worried they are going to outgrow the enclosure during flower.

A few issues to deal with this week. I went ahead and installed a tarp over the bug netting because PM was starting to show on the plants due to the excessive rain and humidity. I also removed the cover crop because it had grown so tall it was impeding the air flow at the base of the plants. Another issue is the colas are getting too tall. I went ahead and tied them down to try and control their height. At this rate they were going to bust through the enclosure during flower. I also sprayed the plants with a peroxide solution to combat PM, as well as Lost Coast and finally a mixture of milk and water. No PM by the end of the week but I am remaining vigilant. Trying to keep fans in the tent as well when I can protect them from the rain.

This week showed a lot of improvement with the PM. I added fans to the enclosure and are running them every day which has improved circulation and Ali have also been spraying the fungicide and lost coast every other day. I am only using the peroxide if I see actual PM. This next week coming up is going to be a killer for heat and humidity. I will keep the fans running and start them off each day with plenty of water. They look really healthy though, still looks like we are in pre-flower, lots of new growth and stacking along the branches with future buds sites.

Brutally hot and humid this entire past week. Heat indexes over 100 every day. She did pretty well overall, I gave lots of water each night, kept the fans running all day and sprayed several times to keep PM away. She is definitely starting to flower as I am starting to see the beginnings of bud sites. Hopefully the heat will back off some so she can take off this week. I am still seeing some of the weird yellowing of the new baby leaves in a few spots. I have been giving her some iron in case it’s a deficiency. She is taller than Blue Dream right now, either due to genetics or the fact that she may be getting a little bit more sun.

My husband accidentally broke off one of the branches while turning the pot…tried to save it but it was too hot and the break was too severe. Thrips and spider mites are looking better this week. I will continue treating with Captain Jacks and Lost Coast. The plants also look healthier now that they are out of the enclosure. The bugs are worse but they are getting much better light from all sides now. Flowering is underway. I have a tarp on the way to install over the plants to keep some of the rain off during flower.

I moved the plants under a tarp this week to protect them from the rain now that they are flowering. The Mimosa is really stretching and seems to have recovered from the broken branch. I am still dealing with some sort of fungus that is attacking the leaves on both plants. I am going to try some Mycostop and see if that helps. I have noticed the water is not absorbing into the dirt as well this past week. I may have to add some aloe. Thrips and mites are better so that is a plus.

She is still hanging in there and the colas are starting to look more full. I am spraying the plants every other day with either Lost Coast, Captain Jacks for bugs, Fungicide or Copper. So many issues with these plants but I am trying to get them to the finish line. I also added mulch to the pots to try and retain moisture and keep the Septoria in the soil. This Mimosa is a little bit behind the Blue Dream, her bud development is about a week behind.

She did well while I was away for the best past week, my daughter did a great job taking care of her! She is really stacking up and getting heavy. I had to add more ties to the branch and the stake for more support. Starting to see some milky trichomes. We had a few nights in the 50’s this past week so hopefully she will start to finish off sooner than later. Potential heavy rain from a hurricane may come in by Friday. That could be a problem, fingers crossed it turns away.

I had to bring the girls inside to my garage today due to the impending effects of Hurricane Ian. I am almost at the finish line and did not want to risk broken branches and bud rot from 4” of rain. She is looking and smelling really good, I hope the drastic change in environment doesn’t stress her too much. I will probably harvest in a week.
