10th Planet & Blue Monster grow

Starting my diary from some old out of date pics, there will be some more to view soon! Pics are of 10th planet. Blue monster was a white label free seed and really showed you get what you pay for. More pics of it in coming weeks.

Basically autopilot at this point. I actually am unsure how longer to go for harvest but that's okay. Planning on waiting a month and a half, especially for some amber trichs I do a little lst with the screen but didn't do scrog. It has been helpful to bend my canopy a bit more and get more light to buds.

This is my first "real" week of grow diary. Actually bought a hygrometer and pH meter like a pro! GD is ganna really get me growing growing haha I added the meter to my tent and ouch my humidity is high. I'll likely have to get a dehumidifier. The blue monster isn't so much a monster. 10th planet blows it out. Blue monster was a free white label seed and it really goes to show you get what you pay for. Never growing a free seed again. 10th planet showed some signs of cal deficiency. I added bone meal to give it some calcium and also some phosphorus for flowers. Blue monster never has a problem. Did some defoil to expose the colas more. They been lollipopped over life. The wait is on. I forgot when I flipped to flower but I know it's at least a month out to smoking them This is my first time phing. 4.8 pH 😬😬😬. Will be fixing with some baking soda

So after phing my runoff water I learned that I was WAY acidic at 4.8. This is my own mistake because I was feeding maxigro every day which is a huge mistake in soil I've learned. Read the packaging and it should only be fed twice a week on soil. OOPS. I've been flushing with water and also a lot of baking soda to up the pH but I can't seem to get it past 5.8. A little less than ideal but okay. This has only affected the 10th planet, blue monster has a great pH of 6.2. I also hope the maxigro didn't stunt my buds too badly with too much nitrogen. Another mistake but at least the genetics of 10th planet are making it fatttt. Honestly it's been growing extremely well in the conditions it is in. I've switched nutes to maxibloom I got a dehumidifier. I bought the cheapest one on Amazon. If it's good enough for a 280 sqft room it must be more than enough for a 3x3, right? Wrong. It barely sucks out any moisture and due to weather my humidity has gone UP. Live and learn. Keeping my tent open during the day helps a lot with getting the humidity down. Much more than the dehumidifier I bought. I'll buy a more expensive one soon. Blue monster is putting on some weight. I'm loving the tight buds it is growing but they are all so small. I'm hoping going extra long on the flowering will help. I'll probably harvest 10th at least 2 weeks before blue monster. We are in the final stretch and getting to the chop zone for 10th but we still got some time to go. I want 10-20% amber on 10th planet and at least 50% or more on blue monster. It's hard looking at fat colas and having to wait.

This week was awesome!! Just goes to show why you wait wait wait to chop! 10th planet has put on so much weight it is drooping over. And I'm surprised at the bud swelling that blue monster has done. All the pistils have turned orange but she's absolutely getting fatter and happier!! No special techniques or anything this week. Autopilot week of just watering. There's no new leaf growth so no need to defoliate. The fade is setting in on 10th planet quite nicely. I'm still feeding blue monster, I plan to keep her around 2-3 more weeks. I'm going to chop 10th planet next week. Just awaiting some Ambering on the trichs which I suspect should come soon. Trichs are at the cloudy stage right now. Pics are chop day for 10th planet. Got a nice touch of amber and she's given all the weight she can give. It's gotten too heavy for her. I'm getting strong grape scents from her and that's definitely from her planet of the grapes heritage. She has grown incredibly well and I can't wait to smoke her. Blue monster is continuing to put on weight and likely has around 2 more weeks to chop. Which is actually nice since I don't exactly have enough drying space for both of them lol. Week was autopilot of just watering. Flushed 10th planet and fed maxibloom to blue monster. Her flowers aren't mega fat but I hope that she puts on some more weight over the next weeks.

Overall I'm really happy with my grow but I really should be growing more plants and trying to stretch out less. The wet weight was a little less than I had hoped for. I was really hoping to get 8 oz dry but it'll probably be closer to 6. Will provide updates when it's ready!

Week was slow but good. Going to chop very soon so I can free up the lights for my autos. Pretty much autopilot. Water and nutes once every 3 days (per GH maxibloom instructions) The flowers are very dense and quite strong smelling. pH has gone up for a while but I don't think it's going to live long enough for it to matter

Never ever will I grow white label genetics again. The yield was so much less even though I had done the same training, feed, light and everything. The yield is so much less. However, it did make a lot tighter buds and stunk up the whole tent with gas and skunk. It'll definitely be a nice smoke but lesson learned: ALWAYS PAY FOR YOUR GENETICS FROM TOP BREEDERS. No ILGM, no Seedsman, etc. Noob traps that got me. The $15 you pay for a seed from an established breeder will pay you back in yield!
