Week 7 starts
Keeping good care of the water and checking on it daily. The high PH value seems to be 6.5 now when I check.
Dropping it down to the 5.5 - 5-8 range then (Takes about 1-2 ml of dissolved PH-)
I think I have an issue with her roots and that she cant get sufficient water. But overall she is growing well. I see small discoloration on the tips on top only, so that might be light?
Adding some start of the week pictures now...
I was told the tips could be caused by nute burn. I checked growweedeasy and the pictures look most closely to mine. So I diluted my water by about a third and now I am waiting to see what happens.
I got a cheap ass macro lens for my mobile phone... So Check out those close up pictures. That's not a microscope, but only a 12.5X Macro lens for the phone (6$ for a set of 3 lenses at amazon)
Ok... Hydroton is the culprit. I was told it raises the PH level of my res. Any time I correct my PH I am adding about 100-150 PPM to it. Since I reduced the PH each day... This is a LOT. So after diluting the res down 1/3rd I am now getting signs of Potassium defficency. So therte must be to much of something else and not sufficient potassium.
So I am going to replace the res. again today with the manufacturers guidance. And that should help out I hope.
Its a mars-Hydro-300 and its about 40 cm away
This is one of their older lights (~130 true W) with 60 X 5 W LED...
and I have a few W side lightning (~25 total)
I upgraded my bucket with a 14W LED beamer I found in the basement ;)Its perfect for Veg since it has a 6500K and when checked with my Power meter it actually consumed 14 W of light. So now my seedling(s) (I am a bad dad... I only grant the healthy girl direct access to the light... Lets see if she can take it or if I have to move her away a bit...) get an extra dose of light from the side in order to better Veg.
I love it how you just jumped in there and kept going. Small typo: In week 8 you have written the length in inches instead of cm, or your plant shrunk 20 cm's :D.
not enough oxygen in the water and water temp is probably too high you need calmag to also bring ph down 5.8 i like a little drift so i start res at 5.6 and let it go 6.0 the knock it back to 5.8
@thrashordie, the small harvest applied to the 3 popcorn buds only...
But the total harvest could have been a bit bigger, since I could have waited a week...(which I could not due travel). She had some nice roots going in the end ;)
Looks like it turned out pretty great 😀. Patience is always tough but I guess that's part of the learning process. Good luck on your next grow! I just started my second quick one as well.
Hello my old friend!
I have only one note to you.
After the second week of vegetation,
Hydro-Grow should be used. ?
Please do not be angry.
It must be a technical error.
Be alive and healthy!
