w33dhawk Hi dear growmies, after careful consideration, I've decided to let my wife choose the seeds, and after days of searching online and with X suppliers, she chose the San Fernando Valley X The Purps from Growers Choice. Here’s a brief info from the manufacturer themselves: San Fernando Valley Purps combines two strain legends into a single variety. Purps has been with us for a long time, as we played an important role in the development process of the strain. It may have lost some significance lately, but we believe it’s still one of the most exclusive flavors in the world. Together with the heavy, sweet San Fernando Valley, it creates an extremely delicious strain that you won't forget anytime soon. There are three phenos waiting for growers: the light purple, the light pink, and the white. The Sativa content is not to be neglected, but the strain grows like an Indica hybrid. The effect is typical of Indica. While the phenos differ in flavor profile, they are all tasty. From what I've heard, the strain sounds very exciting, but the name of the strain isn't a real name yet, so I’m calling it "wonder bag." I think it fits, it's like a bag (seed) with a big surprise inside (phenos), each seed a "wonder bag" 😁 Now to the essentials: I planted the seeds on 26.03.22 early in the morning in root riots from Growth Technology. I soaked the root riots in water (which I prepared 24 hours earlier in a bucket with an aquarium aerator) set to pH 6.1 with BioBizz pH down (citric acid). Additionally, I added 0.2 grams of BioBizz microbes to the water. Then I took a large plastic box with a clip closure, turned it upside down (the lid as the bottom and the tray as the lid), put all 5 root riots in, and sealed it. I opened it several times a day for fresh air in the (propagator) for the first 3 days. After 3 days, the seed shell was already off without me having to help, and the first leaves appeared. At that point, I decided to take the dome off and turn on the humidifier for moisture. On day 4, I had to water for the first time, giving each plant 20 ml of water at pH 6.1. On day 6, the first roots came out the sides; that was today, 01.04.22. I then planted 4 ladies in 1L Teku pots since these 4 will stay in the tent, and I planted one lady in a 0.25L pot, which will then go into a 3.6-liter Teku pot and then out into the garden when the weather gets warmer. I watered all 5 in their new home with 50 ml of water set to pH 6.1 again with 0.2 grams of microbes from BioBizz.

w33dhawk Hi Ho dear growmies, the first week of veg is in the books and I'm happy with the progress so far, unfortunately not much is happening except making sure the ladies are doing well..... When repotting, I put the ladies in 1L pots and watered them with 50 ml of nutrient solution (5ml/L extract from guanokalong, 1ml/L batboost from guanokalong, then adjust pH to about 6.0 with Bio Bizz pH down citric acid, then add Bio Bizz microbes, pH rises, then slowly adjust to 6.5) On Tuesday, I gave them 60ml of pure water, of course pH adjusted (since my water comes from the tap, I prepare it with an aquarium air pump, every 7 days the water in the bucket is changed and the bucket is cleaned, but the water is only used for the ladies after it has bubbled for at least 24 hours) The rest of the week was just watching and enjoying the progress of the plants...... Cu growmies

w33dhawk Hi dear friends of the grow sport 🌻🌻 the 2nd week is over, and I have to say, I'm thrilled with the flowers. The development has progressed quite quickly (compared to my previous reports). I don't know if it's because I let the water sit and constantly bubble it with oxygen, which removes chlorine from the water and adds more oxygen, or if it could be the nutrients that the plants are responding well to, but I think that's rather unlikely. On the other hand, it could also be the genetics, that the ladies simply have top quality. Now on to the week. On 09.04 and 10.04, it was just watching and enjoying the growth. 11.04.22 I had to water today, so all 5 got 150 ml of pure pH adjusted water (pH 6.3). From 12.04 to 15.04.22, it was again just observing and watching the growth. Oh yes, of course, checking here and there if the temperature and humidity are right, adjusting if necessary, that was it. I wish you all a nice weekend and a successful grow until next week, you growmies ✌️

w33dhawk Moin moin dear growmies, this week was pretty good again. I have a lady that I suspect has a tobacco mosaic virus; I will keep an eye on the strange spots, as I feel like after the first application of guano Grow, she is filling the spots with green (could also be a nutrient deficiency). 04/16/22 Today I gave nutrient solution 300 ml (extract, bat boost, and microbes, pH 6.5). 04/17 and 04/18 Enjoying the growth. 04/19/22 Watering again 500 ml this time pure water (pH 6.5), the ladies are thirsty. 04/20/22 Watching and enjoying the growth. Oh, and I checked the root mass in the pot; it was nicely full, which is why I decided to transplant this week (I actually wanted to transplant in week 4). But the spots on the new growth looked like nutrient deficiencies to me at first, so action was needed. 04/21/22 Today was transplant day. I put my 4 ladies that are supposed to stay in the tent into 8L fabric pots (they are 8L fabric pots, but about 12-13L of soil fit in until the pot is full). That should definitely be enough if I run 8 to 10 weeks of veg. I watered the whole thing with 500 ml of nutrient solution (extract, bat boost, grow, and microbes). 04/22/22 Today was just to watch and observe how the problem child develops. Next week, finally topping is on the agenda; I’m really looking forward to working with the ladies. Wishing you all a nice weekend and successful harvests, cu growmies. Update: I replaced my small bucket for water preparation; it’s now an Oscar tank with a 23L capacity, about 20L of water inside, 2x air stones, an aquarium heater, and I’ve made holes in the lid. I pulled the hoses for the air stones through the top edge, so I also drilled a hole opposite each one in the lid to prevent it from being pinched. As seen in the video, the holes in the lid are so the water can evaporate properly due to the chlorine that may be present since it comes from the regular household tap. This whole setup runs 24/7 and is changed and cleaned about every 14 days.

w33dhawk Hi dear friends of the grow sport 😁 I hope you’re all doing well, I definitely am (being a grower, the sun always shines out of my ass) 😂. So, to the essentials, the week was pretty okay. On 04/23 and 04/24/22, it was just observation. On 04/25/22, there was water (pH 6.5) with nutrients + topping (making a cutting for a buddy) for the lady that’s still in the 3.6 L pot. She’s supposed to go in the garden, but I haven’t prepared the greenhouse yet, meaning I haven’t cleaned and cleared it out (I’m not in the mood). I really need to start this weekend, though. On 04/26/22, the 4 ladies in the 8 L pot got water (pH 6.5) without nutrients, and I topped them all and already put in the stakes for the tomato ring so I don’t damage the roots when they reach the edge of the pot. On 04/27/22, I brought all the plants into a T-shape, meaning I formed a manifold (correct me if I’m wrong and it’s just main-lining, or is that even the same? 🙄😲😰). Unfortunately, I slightly tore the branches of 2 ladies while bending them, but the ladies didn’t seem too impressed; they just keep growing, so I’m not too worried for now, but I’ll be a bit more careful with the next topping and bending. On 04/28 and 04/29/22, it was just observation. Wishing you all, as always, a nice weekend and mega yields with your projects......

w33dhawk Hi dear friends of the grow sport ✌️, I hope your week with your ladies was just as smooth as mine 😁. So, to the essentials: on 30.04.22, it was just a look day as usual, then on Sunday, 01.05.22, it was watering time, pure water (pH 6.5) and this time 0.4 g/L water microbes from Biobizz. I won't be adding any nutrients this week because I think the ladies are showing a pretty rich green. On Monday, 02.05.22, I adjusted the branches again to keep the T-shape somewhat intact. On 03.05.22, I had to readjust everything because the attachment wasn't sitting right. On 04.05.22, the lady in the 3.6 L pot got her 2nd topping today and further adjustments to maintain the T-shape. On 05.05.22, it was time for the 2nd topping for the other 4 that are staying in the tent, and again fixing the T-shape. And on 06.05.22, I had to water again, pure water (pH 6.5). That's it for this week, wishing you all a mega weekend........

w33dhawk Moin moin dear growmies! This week was exhausting (not with the ladies) overall I planted a few too many plants for the summer (tomatoes, peppers, and lemons) now I'm just busy taking care of them and keeping an eye on everything, so I hardly have time for other things 😅 but well, life isn't a children's playground..... So for the week on 07.05 and 08.05, not much happened, just checking in (oh yeah, the garden lady has moved into the garden, and she'll get an extra report since she'll be running longer than the ladies here). 09.05.22 today was LST to keep the plants in shape. 10.05.22 today was watering day, all 4 ladies got 2L of water with nutrient solution, in addition to the microbes from Bio Bizz, I also added Great White (1 tsp/8L water). 11.05 to 13.05.22 just observing and doing a little LST here and there to maintain the shape. That's it for the week, cu growmies and good luck with your ladies.

w33dhawk Hey growmies, I barely had time to do anything this week except a little LST and remove some leaves. I hardly had time for pictures, but I'm happy with the progress. I think in about 2 to 3 weeks I'll switch to 12/12...

w33dhawk Moin moin dear folks, first of all, sorry that I didn't upload week 8, my head is just too full right now. The grow is going pretty well, I have to readjust the arms of the octo moms every 2 days to keep the branches somewhat at the same height. I also found out what caused the spots on the leaves; I've been using extract and bat boost at the same time, but those additives should be used separately (me being a fool again). Use extract for the veg phase and switch to bat boost in flowering. Well, the octo moms are alive and thriving. I’ll also switch to a 12/12 light schedule in the coming days, and that means half of the grow is already over. Wishing you all a nice Sunday, my homies and growmies!

w33dhawk Hi everyone, this was the last veg week, phew! Another 10 weeks have flown by, time is running fast too 😰! The week went pretty well until Tuesday when I wanted to adjust everything one more time, and the lady in the back right tore, so the T from above split (but it didn't really bother her). I fixed her as best as I could (should be visible in the pictures and the video, I'll take more detailed photos next week). Unfortunately, not everything is at the same height, so there's a 2 to 3 cm height difference compared to the smallest of the 4 octos, but oh well. On Friday evening, after the lights went out, I took out the reflector, cleaned it thoroughly, and put it back in. Then I switched everything from my MH to HPS. I set the timer to 12/12, and now we're slowly heading into the hot phase 😁😂 (I'm already looking forward to the scent and the sparkle). Wishing you all a wonderful weekend with lots of sunshine 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

w33dhawk Hey everyone, the light schedule has been on 12/12 since this week. Not much to say, I watered on Sunday, 12.06.22, and then just did nothing until Thursday, 16.06.22. Unfortunately, I could have watered on Wednesday. After watering on Thursday, I removed some excess material (side branches and fan leaves) that were sticking into the middle of the plant. The stretch is going well; they are now about 11 cm in 7 days. I hope there's a bit more to come, but I expect something between 15 and 30 cm by the end of the stretch, which would be great. I don't have too much knowledge about mainlining; this is my second attempt at the technique. I've noticed that it's probably smarter to have only one plant in the tent with this technique, as it makes the light distribution on the individual branches easier and thus everything gets more evenly lit, which seems to benefit the growth of the branches in terms of uniformity. Wishing you all a nice rest of the week...

w33dhawk Hey, not much to say. I had some pH issues with one of the octo moms, but I was able to fix it with a little flush. On Wednesday, 22.06.22, I defoliated the ladies a bit so more light can get down. Other than that, not much else going on except for observing. Oh, and I will never complain about bad weather again! Now the weather is so nice that I can barely keep the temps in the box under control. On Friday, 24.06, it was almost 30 degrees in the apartment, and I could only cool the box down to 26.4 degrees with frozen water bottles. It's even warmer outside, and I have a problem 😢. Well, the week was okay; the ladies are growing and stretching, so it's all good... Wishing you all a nice weekend. Catch you later, homies!

w33dhawk Hey everyone, week 3 is through and everything is going pretty well except for the lady in the back right, the pH problem is still there, it fluctuates a lot but it's annoying. There's not much else to report, the stretch should be almost done, so today on 01.07.22, Friday, I added some rings to spread the plants a bit to get more light to the individual buds, which should be visible in the video. What I find interesting is that I had a smell explosion from the ladies this week. On Monday, she smelled typically like weed, Tuesday she smelled like sour puke, Wednesday like a sweet fruit, Thursday she didn't smell at all, and since today, Friday, it's a mix of sour fruity and typical weed smell that really penetrates the nose and lingers there longer. It's kind of interesting, let's see what the next weeks bring, maybe another scent note will mix in...

w33dhawk Not much to tell, the ladies are doing quite OK, slight issues with the pH level (in the runoff water from the pots), let's see how I can bring that down a bit, I don't really want to flush the ladies at this stage. As for the smell, the lady in the front left smells earthy, mossy with an intense typical weed smell, but she's also a good 10 cm shorter than the others. I think there's more indica in her genetics. The other 3 smell identical, like something tropical, more of a fruity note, it's hard to describe, like a multivitamin juice that has more banana and pineapple, which gives it a creamy finish, and the typical weed smell mixes in, getting more intense day by day 😋😋😋😋 if this keeps up, I might just move in with my tent and live in there 😂😂😂 hope you all have a great weekend, growmies!

I need info on hydroponics, specifically about this system here. https://growrillahydroponics.com/en/hydroponics-products/hydroponic-and-aeroponic-systems/hydroponic-systems-growrilla/rdwc-4-1-s/ Can someone maybe tell me what I need to consider with this system, like nutrient changes, etc.?

Keep your water cool. Photos start at 400 ppm 0.8 ec from day 1. after 1 week increase to 500ppm 1.0 ec. every week if your seeing good growth then up by 100 ppm. stop increasing at 800 ppm and only give more if they really need it. Autos start at 200 to 250 ppm and increase once a week by 100 ppm and you stop at 600 to 650 unless you see they really need more. Maintain your ph at 5.8 through veg and 6.2 to 6.3 for flowering.

w33dhawk Since I now think that my plants have been getting a bit too much nutrients, I'm currently only giving them water and will continue this until the end (flushing)........ Oh yeah, and this week was tough to keep the temperatures down in the tent. I had the tent open during the lighting phase on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, which resulted in a peak temperature of 28.2 degrees 🌞 pretty high for the flowering phase, but with the tent closed, I had 32 degrees in the morning during the light phase, so I had to react. The problem is that I live in an apartment building with 24 units, so there were some strange looks on my floor. Especially on Tuesday, I went out shopping, the tent was open, and I forgot to close the kitchen window. I came back, and my neighbor talked to me......... 😂🤣✌️ He mentioned that there's a really nice smell coming from my kitchen and that I should probably close my window since he doesn't have a problem with the smell, but there are other tenants in the building..... Phew 😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰 more luck than sense. But since I've been exposed to the smell of weed all day, I don't notice it as much as others.......

w33dhawk I messed it up again, taste-wise it's on the edge of over-fertilization, which you can smell when breaking open the buds..... but it's my fault, if you don't read, you get punished. If you have no idea about your nutrient lineup, it's your own fault 😰😰😰

@love_2_grow, oh yeah those bamboo stakes are crazy, it was also the first and last time with stakes and rings. The edges of the pot are totally enough with plant ties or soft plant wire for securing.

@w33dhawk, Yeah, I always just attach binder clips to the pot and then fix the wires to them.

@Terp_Djiny, thanks buddy! I'll make an effort. After the last grow (Chemdog on coco, messed up), I really dove back into the subject and googled the water hardness here, and I can only say our water is as hard as a rock!

@w33dhawk, it actually works for me with tap water. However, I like to add collected rainwater to it 50/50.

You can really see the effort you've put into the details. Great job with training the babies, there's a lot of knowledge as well as immense patience.
