RO water discontinued after brown spots started to kill off entire leafs. I am guessing calcium deficiency? The water here is very "hard" - and I have added more alg-a-mic. I cut the brittle parts off the leafs to get more light to the lower (still green leafs)

Can anyone confirm or guess at the kind of deficiency my plant is having? I am not sure if "hard water" (instead of RO so far) is the right answer or if I need some special sauce... Thank you! Details here: growdiaries.com/diaries/139533-grow-journal-by-fejg87fb2skvf

You're giving your grow far too much nitrogen! And you've probably got some lockout issues as well. Since they're in flower, you need to drastically cut back on your grow nutes as these contain the most nitrogen... and start giving them some bloom nutes as these will have the other micronutrients weed needs during flowering. @gmslave is also correct - you MUST check the PH of your runoff - it should sit between 6.0 and 6.5 with 6.3 being the "sweet spot" ... if it is out of that range, you'll need to do a flush (I would encourage that regardless as you've been giving it too much nitrogen)... To do a flush, you need to run PH'd water through each pot at the rate of 3x the pot size - since you're growing in 4-gallon pots, this means you need to flush each pot with 12 gallons of PH'd water. Check the PH of the runoff before you put the last gallon through and if it's within range, you can add nutes to the last gallon - but no more grow nutes! It's easier to fix a deficiency than an excess... Good luck!

I am continuously amazed with my new LED light. I treated myself to the FluxShield Silver (100W) by CRE.Science --> https://cre.science/fluxshield/ With the 75W driver, my zigbee outlet shows my average power usage to be around 60W. With a 12/12 cycle - my little solar panel produces more watt than my plants require. So I am basically growing for free... seeds, soil and nutrients not counting.

I realized I did use biobizz top-max for 3 days or so instead of the bio-bloom (bio-grow was a mistake I copied from veg-phase). I used bio-bloom and alg-a-mic since I switched to 12:12. Will drop all nutrients because of the brown spots and check runoff for PH tomorrow. Maybe I overdid it with my spay-bottle (alg-a-mic and ph-corrected tap-water)... I used it every other day... never had an excess of nutrients before because I only use a part of a biobizz starter kit for a single grow. but the alg-a-mic I bought like 1l and my new fine-mist elektric spray gun is apparently just too much fun to use... thinking about it - I also had some red clover and alfalfa growing in the very beginning - and cut them down because the maui girl grew surprisingly short and bushy. I feared the secondary plants would suffocate my main grow because I did pack it a little too light in the beginning after a while I added more biobizz lite earth on top... I didn't think about it but could this affect various nutrients in the soil?

Wow, this plant is showing such a different phenotype than mine from the same seed bank. I had to flower it for like 12+ weeks, but this does seem to have matured faster. Nice work, keep it up!

@cheetobreath, well I did have to cut it down early. smells very grassy... she did not like the overfeeding with me spraying the leafs far too often. I will smell after 2 weeks of curing and report on my 2 seeds from the same patch that I am currently nursing.
