May 12: like OK Grape and WWxGG this plant seems to be handling the cold better than some others. First full day outside and first foliar with Extreme Blend.
May 16: Jackberry is one of the strains doing well under these coolish spring conditions (others are Gorilla Glue x White Widow and Frostberry). Just have one plant going which is unfortunate considering how well it is doing so far.
June 14: I like this plant but maybe it’s too cool here for it to be really happy.
June 15: supercropped main branches and wrapped in floral tape.
June 16: second topping for manifold. There should be eight colas forming with this setup.
This is very healthy and luxurious looking plant. Still growing at about an inch per day. Being force flowered with other large plants since July 11. Defoliated lower branches late on July 24.
July 26: switched to gypsum as calcium source as Cal-Max has N I don’t want at this stage.
July 28: last day of force flowering as all plants are solidly flowering. Back to natural 16 h of daylight.
July 31: second round of Power Bloom and malt as top dressing. Started using soluble wood ash as K source. See today’s Gorilla Gelato diary entry for details.
July 31: added second round of Power Bloom and malt as top dressing. Started using soluble wood ash as K source. See today’s Gorilla Gelato diary entry for details.
Sep 24: great colour and smell but like most other photoperiods this one re-vegged which has delayed the finish. The buds are not firm yet and need more time which is okay because the weather is still good.
Sep 28: great dark purple colour has always been there on this plant but the colour has gotten even more intense with the colder weather.
Sep 30: tops have re-vegged under weakening sunlight so stretched badly. Decided to try removing the wispy thin tops to see if that helps the decent lower buds get better. First round 208 g wet.
Oct 4: great deep purple colouring and starting to noticeably smell. That means it’s likely pretty loud cuz my sense of smell is pretty limited these days.
Second round?
Oct 14: took a round of 235 g for total of 443 g so far.
Oct 16: took 120 g wet total of 563 g.
Oct 17: took final round of 286 g wet for total of 849 g wet.
Beautiful plant was always ‘the classy one’. She always had red stems and petioles but the colours turned dark purple almost black with the colder weather. Very strikingly pretty. The buds re-vegged a bit but so did most of the photoperiods, all of which were force flowered.
