Quebec Cannabis Seeds QCS

This was a freebie seed that no doubt is a mass produced knock-off. My score reflects the overall experience, I think 5/10 is pretty good, it's nothing special.

Started off a little rough, as the seeds were possibly a bit old or I was not providing the correct seedling environment. It was a freebie though, so I can't look a gift horse in the mouth, especially when the end result looks decent and smells okay. I'll give SSKush a 7/10 score overall, as it's better than average where it counts, although the genetics of this strain are a bit wonky, these start out deformed and sick looking until hitting pre-flower. There was a lot of defoliation throughout the grow, as is typical with every Kush I've grown. Leaf morphology is very nice to look at. Not once did she show signs of overfeeding. She was insanely sticky once into flower, and the trichomes were so thick they mashed together. The leaf to calyx ratio of the buds will keep someone in trim jail for a good while. I think I went through a dozen pairs of nitrile gloves trimming her. The fingers kept getting so caked with resin I couldn't feel what I was doing. My trusty Saboten trimmers probably lost half of their hit points doing this trim. That aside, this strain is actually a great evening or bedtime high. The body stone is heavy and numbing in a way that makes it an amazing painkiller. The taste is classic 90's/2000's stuff you'd get from a random plug, then later that evening you order a pizza and it's the same dude delivering your pizza who sold you the half-quarter. The classic solar plexus numb is there, and the analgesic effect is very nice. This is a great indica leaning stone for when you want to kill some pain, get some rest, or sooth aching muscles. There is a small energetic head high present at times, but the relaxing and numbing effects make me want to just veg out and have a nap. 7/10 is a fair score. It's decent medical and/or bedtime weed, but the grow is a mix bag of both easy and at times frustrating, as is the harvest and trim. Dry weight is 57 grams (post trim), or just a hair above 2 ounces. I almost forgot the taste, and that's because it's a very mild sour diesel flavor with some citrus and underripe berries. The flavour is all around subtle with no dominant terpene. There's no real sweetness yet, but a good cure might fix that.

Amazing strain! Monster plant and monster buds!

Not impressed with this strain. Has nice colors but that's about it. Smells like grass, very little trichomes, 0 stickyness. Will not be growing this again.
