Grow Questions

Hey guys, I found out about Growdiaries a few weeks ago and decided to subscribe to track my grow and look for tips. Currently my plant is suffering from The Claw, what should I do? She seems to be a little burnt by the nutes. I'm currently watering her just with plain water.

It won’t grow out of the claw. So plain water is good. You are flowering so bloom nutes will be on order

Hey guys, I know it is probably too soon to make a yield estimate. Does anyone of you want to make an estimate of my minimum yield I'll get from my first grow? I'm just asking for a minimum, not the precise number at all.

10 days from harvest.I will dry with a temp of 23/24C and 60/62%Rh. Unfortunately buying an ac unit is out of my budget at the moment. I'm planning to hang my plant whole to maximize the time of drying and compensate the hot temp. Will this allow me to dry my plant in a good way?

He just said he has that temp. If he could drop it that low I'm sure he would. What will lower your temp bro. Is if you seal up your tent, open your windows at the end it'll draw up enough of an air flow, it'll be the temp of your grow room, so however you can cool down your grow room by way of leaving your window in an9ther room open and a window open in your grow room you should be able to keep the temp at room level by doing this. This way you'll be able to use your carbon filter if you need to scrub your air? It all depends. If you domy need to scrub your air then hang it in your tent and just leave your intake fan in your tent with ducting off to circulate your air, as you don't want fans blow directly on your grow. Also you can trim some but leave the bulk of the sugar leafs on your plant, (whole), as it draws sugars in. I've dried 1 plant 3 different ways and the best one was hang dried at 60-65 at 23.5 during the day and around 21c at night. Don't worry to much about hitting 20c. Things like that do help you bud I'm not disagreeing but understanding VPD and how co2 and negative pressure environments all help, but you can get some pretty darn good bud without producing duspernersy grade weed. Good luck bro Feel free 2 DM me if you need details, and I'll help if I can, tat is. 🤔

Hey guys, I found a nanner in one of my buds, she came out overnight and I immediately sprayed with water and plucked it with tweezers. I'm a week away from my first harvest and trichomes are 10%clear, 87%cloudy and 3%amber. Should I chop her early? I don't want couch lock effect

HerbalEduanswered grow question 3 years ago
few bananas inside the bud near the end of flowering is something pretty common and you don't necessecarely need to worry about it. You did the right thing removing it, but even if you didn't it prolly won't had enough time to get mature and drop some pollen before you harvest, even tho such bananas get mature and drop some pollen the plant won't have time to produce mature seeds and the trichromes maturation is advanced enough so it won't impact your harvest potencey in any significant way. there no valid reason to change your plan for harvest.

@toxicswine462, haha I dono how I missed this reply, it's epic! I feel you on the paranoid part lol, I'm day 29 today and am still peek-a-boo'in on her every couple hours. Nice I've been following Canucks and Dr Autoflower - just seeing it on here somehow makes it more real hah.

@JiggleBudz, thanks mate! It is my first time growing so I was a little paranoid to fuck up but it turned out ok. The plant reacted well and as you can see there are a lot of top colas. If I remember correctly I used Mr. Canucks Grow's Youtube channel and other videos I found when I searched ''LST on autoflower'', there are a lot of resources there. Good luck with your grow mate, I will check it out for sure!

@Ju_Bps, for sure. I'm learning patience with this hobby. It's a month I don't smoke so I can't wait to taste some of my own product for the first time but I hear you, I don't want to ruin everything because I can't wait 1 or 2 weeks more, I'll do whatever is necessary to let her mature at best and won't chop until she is perfect!

toxicswine462commented3 years ago
@Ju_Bps, yeah, I overfert her 2 weeks ago and this are the results, lockout of calcium and burnt tips. But she is growing good nevertheless, I'm carefully reintroducing the nutes in the last waterings. I hope in max 3 weeks I'll chop her, I can't wait honestly! :D

@JiggleBudz, thank you man! I still have to face one of the most critical part of growing as far as I understood, the drying and curing, so I’m still far from the finish line, but I’m really happy how this girl turned out. I hope she will put on some more weight, the more the marrier LMAO

You are targeting 100 easy ;) a bit hungry for final feed push ? All the Best !
toxicswine462
toxicswine462commented3 years ago
@AsNoriu,Thanks mate! I really hope to hit that number, it would be a dream to achieve that weight at my first try. Yeah she looks a bit hungry cause I had a lockout 10 days ago or so, too much PK locked the uptake of the calcium and I burned her with too many nutes, in fact the tips of a lot of leaves are crispy af ahah! I'm gradually reintroducing the nutrients, I don't want to risk to burn her again! What makes me stay quite calm is the fact that the buds are continuing getting fat and frosty despite all the abuses I did to her ahah! I really hope I can finish this grow successfully, can't wait!

Hey there friend. Would you be alright with me offering some pointers? FIRST OF ALL, I see you doing A LOT RIGHT here, GREAT work on investing time into learning the needed equipment and basic knowledge to have a very nice first run, I would still like to share this information with you as I try to give this to all new growers on here, So dont mind me! So cannabis plants LOVE heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. In veg we want to take advantage of this fact to help our plants grow along much quicker and more vigorously. In veg we can look for temps of 79-84 MAX with lights on & no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for too much temperature swing between lights on and lights off while the plant is still growing vertically up to day 20 of flower, We will cause the plant to stretch ALOT which we do not want. So in veg & early flower, Keeping our temperature gaps nice and close between lights on and off is key. Utilizing humidity in our rooms during veg will also help out a lot with more rapid growth but we must introduce it properly. In our rooms we have our temperature and humidity set-points, But when we combine those 2 it forms a third set-point which is the most important & that is called VPD, Vapor pressure deficit. I strongly recommend every new grower or old grower who has not learned it yet, To study and understand it & implement it into your room, Logging your numbers daily. https://cerescann.com/importance-of-measuring-vpd/ For soil, We generally want to go for a PH of 6.1. This website does a GREAT job of illustrating it with a nice graph & very good detailed explanation for soil. https://autoflowerseedshop.com/cannabis-ph-chart-guide/ As we briefly touched on before, During veg & early flower we want our temperature gap's nice and tight to avoid stretch. Why exactly our plants stretch in response to this is a genetic trigger being activated by the environmental stress essentially telling the plant the end of the season is closer than it really is. In veg & early flower the plant is still in its first stage of development which is to grow up wide and tall so when it produces seed, It can cast them out nicely. Remember, Whether we are growing our plants for seed or bud their genetic responses do not change as they gh sidedo not know any different. Once the plant has finished that first stage of growth by weeks 4-6 of flower with most strains, It is by day 20 of flower. Autoflowers you have to watch for it, But once the plant has finished this goal its new mission is to focus 100% on producing nice big flower clusters & to get very sticky so it can attract pollen to it successfully. So once that vertical growth is finished, We actually now want to begin to expose our plants to larger temperature swings between lights on and lights off. This will help activate that genetic response and allow us to draw out the most potential from the strain utilizing the plants genetic triggers to environmental stresses at the right times. We can also take this a step further with doing light deprivation in the last 2 weeks using less light to simulate cloud cover. Very cold feed temps on the last flush is very good too. If you do not have them already, Get yourself a good PAR meter & thermal laser temp gun to monitor your plant top temperatures & optimize how much light your plants are getting. We are currently in the middle of producing a very comprehensive tutorial series for everybody to learn from & understand how to grow the highest level craft cannabis all on their own. If this interests you please check out our youtube and subscribe. The first 2 episodes are out the next one is coming in a few days. If you should ever have any questions or need any help, Please feel free to follow my profile and shoot me a DM. I will gladly help you with the pull down & make sure you get the best quality harvest possible as it is the most important step of the entire process. Happy growing friend!

@LegacyMarketFarm, thanks for all the info man. I already knew 90% of what you said but still, good informations. I've always followed a VPD chart and I used Photone App on my phone to check DLI and PPFD. For the next run I'll invest in a thermal laser temp gun as you suggested so I can check the real temperature of the leaves. Thank you for your input mate!
