Got my seeds on Monday and immediately dropped them in the water/peroxide mix for 24 hours to pop and then into the coir pellets covered and on the heating map under LED full spectrum. 100% popped open and now the are loaded into the pellets. Moved to under LED shoplight and still on mat in my grow tent
Well I transplanted the pods into 4 inch jiffy pots. Filled with an mix of compost/perlite/topsoil and added worm casings+blood and bone meal. Nothing too strong just yet. I am trying different ratios too see how the plants react and will make a larger batch once we move to the final grow bags. I had one of the lights too close initially and 4 seedlings got a little toasty. They burned ones are trying to make a comeback as new leaves are coming in and look good. Going to wait to see if they recover before I transplant those. I also inoculated all of them with Prime Superior drench and they are looking good
I was able to salvage two of the burnt seedlings and the lone unopened seed popped and is doing wonderful now. Chem Valley Kush has fatter leaves and seems to grow faster as expected . Growing them all until I spot the fems. Gave a couple some real sun yesterday, don’t know if that was a good idea. See a little burn on one, but its only one so not concerned. I am really not sure how powerful my lights are so i pushed it then to a lower shelf in the greenhouse until I am sure I am bot burning them anymore
So it appears that the lighting is best under the one square LED grow light and the UV doesn’t do much at this point. Maybe later. This is probably the last week in the pots before getting moved to 3 gal grow bags. Additional lights are on the way
Picked up a new 100w full led grow light from amazon. Moved some plants out of the tent and will be growing them outside. Transplanted the indoor crew to 3 gal fabric bags. Mixed up a blend of organic soil with perlite and peat moss. They are growing fast. I think i can squeeze four inside. I have been giving them doses of uv light throughout the day and they seem to like it.
All 4 in the tent have been topped and the all 4 branches tied back with rubber coated wire. Took them off 24 hour light. They have taken to the stress very well. No nuts added yet. The soil has everything it needs at this point.
