These plants were placed too close to a 600 W MH light fsr too esrly on and got overlight exposure and looked like theycwouldn't make it. Decided to grow them out anyway, not sure what week they're technically on but this is their first week of flower.

Calmag, how much to use and when?? Have spoken to some people and they say every feed and others say, when the plant needs it. What am I looking for as a deficiency of calmag?? And I start using less the further into flower I go??
Hey there. I’ve written a reply 3 times now and it didn’t send. Basically to shorten it down. If your tap water is around 0.4EC before adding nutrients as long as the nutes you use and the soil is of good quality you may never need it. If you live in soft area like me (0.1EC) you need it. Only in small amounts in soil, but every feed with coco. —————————
Deficiency signs can show weeks after the requirment for either Ca or Mg. So this is why growers always supplement Calmag, unbeknown to most that when a deficiency shows up it was because the plat didn’t have enough/access to calcium or magnesium. So the moral of the story is always use it but find out how much you need. You need at least 160ppm of calcium every feed in veg and flowering stretch, 2% of that total calcium should be added as magnesium so 30-40ppm of mag is enough. Hope that clears things up✌️🏻
Ladies are exploding with growth, changed the layout of the tent and still have one more tub to make up for the White Widow to sit on. Should be able to semi fill out the canopy in time.
Gave my ladies a defoliation last night as was day 22, photos are tsken from before the defoliation though. Stripped both Caramel kushes back pretyy heavy. Left the Jack Herrer to a medium defol and both Northerns a light defol to see if any differences arise. Tad worried as I noticed a sizeable split in my main stem of Caramel kush 1, have pushed bsck together and taped together so hopefully she makes it this last 4-5 weeks. Sorry for lack of photos this week. Doesnt want to upload.
Installed a scrog net and removed all the individual tie downs at the start of this week. I also got in snd did a defol on all the ladies.
Have defoled dofferent plants at different levels ie. Heavy defol, mid range defol and minimal defol, just to see how they react. Have taken into account that different genetics and different strains will yield dofferent results but trying to get a gauge of a "healthy" level of fan leaves:bud sites:light penetration so I have a general idea how much plants will need as an "ideal" level of defol for future.

Have been super occupied with work and life. Will probably just leave this diary be until harvest and record whatever yields I do get. Only changes is i've started feeding daily instead of twice a week, far too late to make much of a difference but every little bit helps. I also was lucky enough to borrow my homie @capitanogkush LED's just to try help give a little more weight and resin production in the last few weeks. Going to feed these ladies for another week then flush them all for 2 weeks then harvest.
