-SOAKING SEEDS STARTED AT 4:15PM on 4/2/22
All of them sank by the next day with a little stirring of the water - most of them were floating before I stirred the water then they sank & stayed underwater.
-PLANTING SEEDS STARTED AT 6PM on 4/3/22
Seedling Starter Soil:
1 Coco Coir Block (hydrated with 12cups aquarium water)
About 5 cups Vermiculite
4Tbsp Down To Earth Starter Nutrients
Mycorrhizal Fungi Spring Water - watering the hole with mycorrhizal before planting seed & then again after planted.
-AFTER THE FIRST SPROUT ON 4/5/22
Turned on seedling clip light to blue only, dimmest setting @ 20%. Keeping light on for 18/6 6am-12pm
- 4/6/22 INCREASED BLUE ONLY SEEDLING LIGHT TO 50%
It seems like they were slightly stretching for light **watch for light burn on cotyledon leaves**
-4/7/22 MORNING INCREASED BLUE ONLY SEEDLING LIGHT TO 100%
The plants are stretching even more I increased light to full 100%, it'll have to keep an eye on them & make sure they don't get light burnt or topple over from reaching
-4/7/22 AFTERNOON SWITCHED LIGHT TO GIIXER
The two tallest plant cotyledon started to droop to the side so I didn't want to take a risk continuing to try the clip light only on blue @ 100%. I have the Gixxer on only veg at a distance of 10" away from the tops of the cotyledon leaves. I also cracked the lid & put an oscillating fan on low just to give them a tiny bit of movement to strengthen their stems because they'll be tall and weaker with stretching.
*I tried using a new seedling light & it was a failure - they are now stretching due to that light. I switched back to my trusted seedling light & hoping they'll be back on track.*
I filled the nursery bags up with soil to the top to bury more of the stretched stem for stability. I moved the light up to 14 inches above canopy to prevent light burn, they're growing bigger everyday.
The true leaves are coming in nicely 🤗🌱
It's doing well & I can see small spots of mycorrhizal fungi on top of the soil so I know the roots must be loaded with them!
She's getting tall! I'm excited to watch the colors she hopefully picks up during her grow. That is the main reason I picked this strain for her purple genetics. I hope to make future colorful crosses using her and the purple Zkittlez phenotype I already have.
Growing nicely, I'm hopeful she will be colorful later on in her life. She will be going outside, I have wind blowing to strengthen the stems up to prepare for mother nature.
The tallest one of the bunch to date by a few inches.
I topped and defoliated every plant. I'm trying to form them into canna-bushes. Hopefully I'm doing the correct training procedures to make them all grow that way both indoors and out.
She's running to the sun 🌞
I think I'll have to do allot of training with her to try to keep her looking like a canna-bush. She's a little stressed from the storm that had just passed, she'll look all bright & cheery once her leaves get some sun again.
I topped every bud site on every plant, both indoors & outdoors.
The plants are well adjusted to the outdoors, their roots are ready for some space! I'm trying my hand at a different training technique, we'll see how it turns out.
These plants are handling these crazy outdoor weather spikes pretty well. I put this new garden in so the soil is just okay, I'm still amending it and trying to dial in the pH.
It's been consistently hot and dry here but the plants show no heat stress. I've never grown in this area of the yard, it's shaded for a few hours middle of the day when sunlight is at it's brightest/hottest. So initially I was concerned of the lack of sunlight slowing growth a little bit it's been perfect for this summers weather.
They're starting to grow out more. Hopefully they'll start filling out soon. I'm second guessing the diameter of my homemade cages, hoping they'll be a support & training cage for when the plant is younger.
They're starting to fill out nicely. The support cages are doing a good job & the trellis' are starting to fill in nicely as well. Hopefully continued healthy growth with this consistent heat rolling through.
They are still growing healthy & finally starting to fill out the trellis' nicely, horizontally at least for now. Once flowering hits I'm hoping they'll finish filling out the trellis vertically with their stretching.
Showing their first signs of flowering. The stretch is well on the way & they have filled out the trellis' nicely. I am happy with the new techniques I've tried on these.
I lost one of these to hermie 😭 but the other two stretched so much I've had to supercrop them twice and they're still inches from my lights.
Yours look sweet 😋 😍
@Cyrusdavirus, my OG Kush did that - came up with a broken most missing cotyledon leaf. I didn't have an extra seed & it's growing poorly & slowly 😮💨
Niceeee you have plenty to compare phenos too
@cheetah844, I started two but one came up with one coty leaf so I popped another seed to replace it if necessary now I have three. The one (middle right in pictures) started on 12/12 about 14" inches and yesterday is 32" next (front left) is one ear it's a 8 top manifold started about 6" now 25" and is sitting on a milk crate the other isn't really part of the diary but is in the pictures (middle of tent) it's in a 5 gallon pot started like 10" and is now 30"
They have all stretched like a normal sativa heavy strain but the one ear is behind the others
I just chopped my ghost I really want to see what this does outside 🤔 be ready for a monster one of mine and two of my buddies grew real big we just didn't have room
@Cyrusdavirus, I'm ready! 😁 Thanks for the heads-up. I'm noticing the branches are thinner that the other plants just her genetics, we'll see how she holds the weight of her flowers. But I have support if she starts bending too much.
