Doing well and steady. Just plain watering now. For the next week or so at least. Soil is 1/2 Coast of Maine (Raised bed mix) and Commonwealth Canna a local homegrown mix. Water is plain water pH'd to 6.8 and roughly 500 ML per 5 gallon fabric pot roughly every 3 days is the plan, during week 1 it was roughly 250 ml/plant/per 2-3 day

So I’m noticing the mix of Coast of Maine I have with Commonwealth Canna tends to stay pretty wet. I’m reducing my watering to 350-400ml every 3-4 days. I think I’m going to try a coco coir perlite next time with earthworm castings and organic amendment/ ferts. Otherwise the girls are getting roughly 40DLI with the PPFD about 500 per plant. They seem to be responding well.

One of my plants is very squatty with leaves touching the soil. I’ve been watering them daily roughy 75 ml a plant. It might have been a bit early but I started LST Sunday as well. The plants are responding well. I changed up the plant wire and went with 90deg elbows that are 3D printed I think but seem to work really well.

Plants already seem to be showing pistils and pre flowering. One squatty plant continues to stay short while the tallest has responded well to the LST clips.

Noticing a bit nutrient deficiency this week and I think it’s because I have been heavy watering every 3 days rather than a small amount daily which doesn’t activate my dry amendments as well. I am preferring to err on the side of a tad deficient rather than burning my plants so we shall see.
I am not a fan of the Commonwealth Canna soil. The soil is just not airy and fluffy when I am checking moisture level which is so unusual. Raised up the light intensity and lowered my humidity levels to 60 although the buts are all still pretty small.
I did a small amount of LST to try and spread the colas and get light penetration throughout the plant. I only did one week of hard LST so curious how it will end up.

This is the second strain I’ve grown from Brother Mendel and it was a “freebie” Kaleidoscope II. So the plants ended up staying really compact and didn’t stretch much. I also noticed the frost on these weren’t as strong as my Blue Raz run and the smell is also not as pungent versus my 1st grow. All in all no real issues or complaints just surprised how compact the plants remained.
Unfortunately I had to travel internationally for quite some time handling family stuff right as my girls were going into flower and left it to my wonderful boyfriend who has little to no grow experience to keep the girls alive til I returned. The end of this grow cycle really snuck up on me and I was harvesting right as I returned. Curious how well this will smoke. I am learning hard lessons on avoiding nute burn but striking the balance using dry amendments in a timely fashion are a little tricky. Now to dry the next week or so.
@Kamikaze, oh nice! I was really surprised how little there is out there on this guys genetics but I’m excited. I just finished curing Mendel’s BlueRaz and it is some awesome stuff :). Good luck!
