Kloud9gardenz This one one of my first ever grows and I'm bringing it back, this time I'm trying my hand at an outdoor grow. Its being started indoors as its still gets cold at night and I will move it outdoor permanently around mother's day, hopefully all goes well.

Kloud9gardenz Growing real healthy and green, the node spacing is starting to get closer now also. That's nice when I'm indoor so I want to see what happens when I transition outside in a few weeks.

Kloud9gardenz So I'm getting a crash course in outdoor growing and its been very knowledgeable. So to clarify the plant isn't burning at all, that's caused by putting the plant on the roof for an hour and the wind and slight cold 61F going up to 69F destroyed the fan leaves and cause this to the leaves. It happened on the Runtz Muffin also, the only positive of any is the main branch is stiff as hell. They say the final frost of the winter is prior to mothers day and that's the weekend to plant outdoors, that's a lie. I'll keep them inside until memorial weekend or so or until the low is in the 60's

Kloud9gardenz Transplanted the plants out of the 1 gallon into 12 gallon fabric pots and stared training. The Purp is side branching very nicely and I decided to FIM rather than top the plant. Temp got up to 90F 32C degrees over the Weekend, leaves curled in as expected but it kept them nicely watered so no wilting. Pulled down the entire tree so the side branches can enjoy some free PAR. Just going to continue training until she flips in early August, let's see if I can get 1.5-2lbs fingers crossed

Kloud9gardenz Had to bring them inside for a few days due to bad weather, these pics are the first day back outdoors. Did some more training today and also foliar fed for the first time, wanted to include this into my regiment for outdoor since I don't have to wait until 12am for lights out. She's responding very well to everything far, found some spider mites starting to colonize and I did 2 need treatments in a 3 day span and that took care of it for now because they always come back.

Kloud9gardenz Didnt have to train the branches much this week as its growing into a nice rounded bush, just want the branches to get to the edge of the pot and shoot upward. Left them outside to fend off the rain this week and after the rain I swore they look better than they were before and it poured for about 2 days. During the late afternoon when it didn't rain I foliar fed my special sauce since it made no sense to root drench. It's a great feeling knowing you're getting crazy sunlight and canopy penetration for free. I noticed alot of outdoor growers don't really train their plants but I'm not them so I've got 2 more months of training before the light schedule changes.

Kloud9gardenz Been getting a free influx of ladybugs visiting my girls on the rooftop keeping the spider mites away. I snapped a branch training but taped it up and she's all healed and growing. Can't afford to permanently lose branches as I have a bet with myself that I can't yield 2lbs from each of my outdoor plants. I'm using another growers diary who also ran the same genetics with the same 13 weeks veg time as a blueprint. They yielded 2lbs dry while using a 45 gallon pot, with a living soil and some nutes towards the end, the growth only topped the plant but didn't train it otherwise to the extent that I am. His numbers are impressive but was it due to the sheer size of his tree given the space it had to grow? Especially with no training? My goal is to TRY and replicate his success but using only 1/4 of the space, even 1.5lbs dry I'll consider a victory.

Kloud9gardenz Doubled the nutes this week, ive never followed the feeding chart because the regular feedings were enough. Since I'm outside and i figured I'd give it more to work with since I am trying to pull an obscene number with the size pot I'm working with and veg time. The nodes on the side branches are big enough now to be trained and stretched, this should help me get to 2lbs as I continue to train them out. Had some crazy high winds today, I called that free training.

Kloud9gardenz Plants have fully recovered from the wind stress and looking healthy. Did more defoliating and training but at some point soon I'll scale back on the amount of training and let the plant just go. Had to up the feedings another liter after it rained and the plants still needed more, today's is about 31C so if they droop by noon-1p then I know its still not enough. This outdoor business is a lot of trial and error when dealing with high UV index

Kloud9gardenz Doubled the nutes and the plant grew 8" in a week span and its not in flower. I may have to transplant to 20 gallons next week if it is measured around 40". I did a lot of defoliating to get rid of some huge fan leaves covering up bud sites and I also trained a lot. She is very wide and almost 3ft tall with a lot of pulling down, I'm very pleased

Kloud9gardenz I continue to readjust the ties and defoliated alot of the interior portion in preparation of the light change. Due to the heat I'm watering 1.5-2 gallons twice a day.

Kloud9gardenz Plants appeared to have flipped last week and looking good, the weather has been very terrible the last week and more with temperatures hitting 32C+ daily. Plants are wilting from the heat and lack of water during the day while I'm at work so I hope the weather relaxed soon, I am feeding the plants a total of 3-4 gallons a day with 2 gallons in the morning and 1-2 gallons after work.

Kloud9gardenz The vertical growth of this plant has slowed but then again it was more of a shrub than a giant anyway. Did some lollipopping a few weeks ago but I still can't finish the job because the plant is super bushy and I'm ready to just let it be a bush and I'll just continue feeding.

Kloud9gardenz Plants took a tumble while I was at work and came home to everything laying on the ground like a robbery. I also learned that my plants wasn't burning but in fact when the tree hit the deck the 33C heat and the roof torched the leaves. The vertical growth is slowing as it only grew 2" in the week so far, don't think this indica was ever meant to get huge but I think the pot limited its growth. Just solid knowledge for next year as I wanted all 3 tree to hit around 6ft after the stretch and all the training. Lost a few main branches on this plant so idk how realistic 1.5lbs is at this point t

Kloud9gardenz She's been doing good and I trained with the bricks but the branches are pretty sturdy and I didn't want to risk losing any more branches. She's very short and bushy, wanted to try and at least get her to 5ft but shes a stout 4'3. Hopefully this will all be done in another 4-5 weeks, its been a long road.

Kloud9gardenz The nose spacing is very tight and the buds will probably stack up nicely once they get bigger. She smells nice and the temps are in the mid to low 60's at night hence the coloring.

Kloud9gardenz Had a week full of rain and it was pretty bad the last 2 days with the buds taking on water. Did some more research and figured out that breeder weekly flowering time has nothing to do with outdoor growing and their outdoor finish time is the information that's needed. Hopefully it can get done before it gets even colder here in the upcoming weeks, breeder has it finishing middle october and currently the buds have a lot of packing on to do still.

Kloud9gardenz Bud growth is slowing due to the cold setting in, we have one last week of good weather before it goes to shits. At that point I will begin a strategy to finish flowering indoors if I can pass it through my roof hatch. Plant looks like it needs another 2 weeks

Kloud9gardenz Trees been down for a week or so it just took forever to get through trimming it. The tree was very left and took forever compared to when I ran it indoor, has great terps but it dried out a tad too long but so be it.
Second time growing it just on a bigger scale, very fruity in flavor and smell and its a very relaxing and calming high. If you're already tired and stressed it has the potential to put you to sleep, I'm biased as this is my all time favorite strain

Kloud9gardenz a pound and a little bit is more than I can ask for especially when I smoke solo, moving forward I don't think I wish to do this on a large scale again and if I did I would DEFOLIATE HEAVY
@Kloud9gardenz,..lol...yes outside they grow fast but i usually pluck top an multiply main branches also pluck side branches too i usually get her around 7ft high an 8-9 ft wide hedge..1 1/2 easy dried after giving branches to friends lol
@JamMAKEcan, the indoor training is what I've got working in my favor being outdoors now. Figured if I can take that talent outside I can top a pound + easily BUT I still have to put the work in, its going to be a long 6 months
@JamMAKEcan, We shall see how it goes plus I just germinated a Peanut Butter Breath. Doing a total of 7 but 4 will be staggered in may, hoping to get a pound of each of the 3 I start now.
@GuerillaGorilla, yeah the temps here in NYC dipped severely fast and this and the Runtz muffin just started to streak purples. I can never duplicate this indoor unless I started starving the plant with only water
She is a beast. Just a thought, I will just hang trellis netting over the plants I have in pots. The branches will weave themselves through and hold each other up when things get heavy. Good luck!
Nice to see the variety your growing
All growing well.
I think this is another strain you would normally grow indoors.
How did you select your strains this year?
@GuerillaGorilla, so this is my first time ever growing outdoor and I ran back some of my indoor favorites that I ran out of (purp and runtz muffin). The peanut butter breath was something I hunted for over a year and then I found GOG version which is really a bulk seed and not something they worked towards. I try to add a lot of variety in my runs as far as indica/sativa ratio so I have Sativa's to keep me stoned at work until 11am and shit but I need balance in my runs. The dankberry i grew bc anything Anesia and purple buds smoke like shit even fast buds purple lemonade auto was shit, I figured if I grew it outdoor for free I can't get too mad if it smokes like shit lol. I'm growing all Humboldt for my new year harvest and I wanted the panty dropped for midnight, All Gas OG on the wake n bake bc its all gas no brakes 2023, the Hella Jelly during the brunch to afternoon BC I need Sativa's during the day unless its snowing and who wants to be awake for that. And I got the animal mintz for the evening wind down. Shit I've already got my summer 23 strains all picked out lol
@GODSGIFT_2005_JM, I'm probably never growing indoor again after seeing what some sun and a 12 gallon pot can do lol. The pictures don't do this justice because of all the training, its almost 2ft tall as is with the training and I've got another 6-8 weeks before lights change in NYC
