The recent numerous cloudy days aren't helping me compact the plant, but I'm still satisfied with the progress, I continue to bend it with ties trying to slow down vertical growth and shape the plant for the near future, without forgetting to promote maximum rooting before the transplant, which will happen at most in 2 weeks, once I harvest other plants and leave a good space for these. For now, I have my seven current crops growing in the same grow tent, all have their space, but four are already demanding more room. I've made several apical cuts at the highest tips to slow down vertical growth and to increase leaf mass and buds; after 3 days, the plant is already showing its full satisfaction with the new pot, water consumption is increasing, and the plant has expanded sideways, it's going to be a great grow, I plan to switch it to flowering in a week. Check out the complete family tree of Fruity Jack: https://es.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Jack_El_Frutero/Philosopher_Seeds/ It’s been 10 days since the transplant, the plant is fully established in its pot, so much so that it’s growing wildly and the water consumption is very high, at this rate it won't fit in the tent, so, 3 days ago I cleaned my best scissors, rolled a big joint, and cut tips everywhere, the top ones were left with 5cm of stem, after this, I prepared a mix of auxins, amino acids, and lacto fruits for foliar application, I've been applying it for two days, the intention of this mix is to promote the growth of lateral branches and shoots through auxin hormones, which will help direct energy to the shoots and lateral branches, as well as promote cell division, the amino acids provide immediate energy and my multi-fruit lacto ferment contains a multitude of vitamins, enzymes, and micro and macro nutrients. Additionally, I’ve done LST ties on several branches, to try to keep the plant from getting too wide, the thing is this plant has been in the vegetative growth stage for too long because I didn't have space for the final pot, and now I have to deal with a huge plant! 🤷‍♂️, let’s see how far it goes! I was planning to switch to flowering today, but I'm going to wait a couple more days until the plant recovers from all that wild topping. In a week, I’ll increase the light by one hour to 13/11h, a little more light for my girl!! Two weeks of sun and a lot of heat, where I’ve watered every day, with various mixes of nutrients and minerals, the plant has responded positively, maintaining the leaf mass and giving way to dozens of floral buds that I now need to fatten up 😁😁👍 The plant keeps stretching, this week it has reached a meter in height, I still have height room in the grow tent, but this plant forces me to raise the smaller plants on pedestals, I hope this week it gives its last stretch and the plant focuses completely on flower formation. Several actions this week... I’ve cut insignificant lower branches, removed some exhausted leaves, although I’m going to let the plant do its own defoliation, it seems to be quickly absorbing nutrients from the larger leaves, in the end, this is going to be a plant with few leaves and very large flowers! This week I’ve watered with EC concentrations higher than I usually do, normally I don’t go above 1.6 EC and this week I’ve watered above 2.50 EC, so far I’ve been cautious with the EC concentrations of all my waterings, of all my crops, because all my preparations are experimental, now I think I’m ready to raise the stakes, I have to say that I never water only with water, I always add Bio nutrients, my average EC in waterings throughout a crop, according to the statistics I collect in all my crops, has been around 1.2/1.35 EC, now I intend to raise this rate by at least +30%, especially during flowering, although I’ve started testing EC increases in my current vegetative growth crops, although these crops are doing well with foliar applications and the initial nutrients present in the substrate... aaaa let’s play!! 😍 Today I made a dry amendment contribution at a rate of 3g per liter of substrate, a super mix of many nutrients and varied organic matter, which I keep "cooking" with Mountain Microorganisms, and after raking the surface, I covered everything with a layer of living mulch... I keep a bag where I systematically gather the 3-4 cm of mulch and substrate from all my harvested crops, material loaded with varied organic matter and active Microbiology, to this I add the dry leaves from the prunings and the roots of the harvested plants (mycorrhizae), it’s impressive to see how the leaves are quickly invaded and degraded by the microbiology, the roots of the harvested plants detach from the stem easily after a few weeks, the texture of this mulch is fluffy and soft, with a strong forest aroma!... next week I promise photos of these materials!! I’m going to roll another joint! 😋😋😉😉 Let’s talk about lights... This week I increased the light period for this plant by one hour, now 13/11h until harvest! This plant is paired with 3M Ϫ ƝΣƑΣRƮİƮİ, in watering, pot, substrate, lifespan, cultivation techniques, and also partly due to the sativa-dominant genetics, both due to their height, condition the organization of the lights in my only grow tent, 60x120x178cm, both occupy the center of the tent, where there is more brightness, currently in the canopy I have 3 lamps, in the center: Mars TS 1000 (150w), on the north side: Vipar P1000 (100w), to the south: Mars Eco 60 FS (100w), on the sides I also have another 3 lamps, to the northwest: Led COB FS with 120° lens (50w), to the east, a 20x20cm Samsung LM301B LED Panel (50w) 2700K + 660nm and to the west a led bar: Tled SJ Blooming (23w) 3000K, 2100K, IR. I’m 3 waterings away from harvest, the last one will be just with mountain water. Today I had to support the trunk, as the great weight of the upper buds and the height make the plant sway dangerously when moving the pot, on the other hand, the individual branches are holding the weight of the buds without any problem, the hardness and elasticity provided by Silicon is crucial for this to happen, I apply Silicon in the substrate mixes, adding 6 different types of micronized clays, plus, I have a Bio Ferment based on clays where I solubilize Silicon and apply it 3-4 times throughout the grow.
