These are some seeds I made last year. The mother was Barney’s farm Acapulco gold. Hoping to find something nice out of these 6, I have quite a few more seeds of this if they turn out good. I will transplant them in a few weeks once they get bigger. Temps are 30’s in the day, low teens at night. Cheers.
Had some wet cold wet weather during the week might of set me back a little. I’m keeping these awake at night with patio lights. Going to repot them at some point this week. Cheers.
I put these in their own pots now. One is growing much faster than the rest. I added more perlite. This soil is holding more water than I like so hopefully that helps. Probably will stay in these pots about a month now. Yeah 😎 Cheers
Just about growing again after transplanting to own pots. Had some bug issues this week but that looks like it’s sorted too. Used some KNF maintenance solution sprayed on the leaves. Cheers
One or two more weeks and I’ll transplant the best female to a 20lt pot to grow out. Just starting to show sex. I gave these a good spray of diluted banana vinegar and some OHN, WCP, FAA and FPJ. Using KNF solutions. I grew with KNF for first time last year and was amazed with the results. Using it on my organic vegetable garden too. Cheers
I took a clone off this girl today and repotted it into a 4lt pot. The other 5 I potted into 2lt pots as they looked a bit sad in the 1lt, still no sign of sex on the rest. I’ve decided to keep all the females and will clone the others once they show sex. Then I’ll choose a winner at the end once I’ve smoked them all and make seed with the winning clone. Cheers.
Not much to retort this week. I got busy and let them dry out a bit too much but not that bad. I’m going to spray some worm tea and maintenance solution over the weekend. Cheers.
So I repotted them all. I got 2 in 4lt pots and 2 together in a 20lt pot and one alone in a 20lt pot. These look pretty similar so far. One is starting to bloom and another is just showing sex. I wasn’t planning to grow this many plants of this strain but they are growing so nicely I can’t bring myself to toss any. Because one is already starting to bloom, I’ve shut off the patio light in the evening. As far as watering and feeding it’s been mostly rain the last couple weeks. I’m giving worm tea today and a spray of my KNF solutions. I spray the stems and leaves and avoid the flowers. I’m giving a large scoop of worm castings in the pots to all my plants and a couple spoons of cricket hummus. Cheers.
Looks like they are all starting to flower now so I’m marking this as week one of flower. Not that it matters really. Bugs haven’t been such an issue this year so far. I’m going to give a spray of neem oil anyway just as a maintenance. Other than that I’m just giving water every 2-3 days. Had been a tad dry the last few but hoping for some rain this week. Cheers.
So I had to snap the main stems on these untopped girls. They literally doubled in height this past week and were starting to peak over the wall. So lots of stretch with these as expected. Some pink pistols from a bit of cold weather too. I’m really happy with these so far. Leaf stem rub smells promising. Just watering this week and thinking about adding some powdered cal mag next week. I’m loosing some lower leaves to yellowing. Not too worried at this point, might not of added enough nitrogen this year or could of been the cricket hummus shocked things a little. Not sure but I’ll definitely add more cow and sheep manure for next grow. Cheers.
So I added some cal mag silica in powder form. Lots of rain now. I got my rain barrel filled up probably enough to last the rest of the grow. Everything is going well. Some pests but not too bad overall. There’s definitely a big difference in aroma from these and one is really starting to stand out as my favorite. All my clones finally rooted. I just leave them in tap water and it normally take 3 weeks but sometimes more. I don’t change the water or add nutrients to it just straight tap. I’ve done other cloning methods in the past, but this is how I do it now, the longer root time is actually advantageous for me. I also dusted these girls with some pollen from that one male I got. Just a sprinkle on a few branches. Cheers.
Gave a spray of the KNF solutions with extra calcium and fermented fruit. I mostly spray the main stems and leaf avoiding flowers as best I can. I try to spray on a nice overcast day.
Other than that it’s only rain water. I might add some more worm tea next week. We will see. Was a bit rainy this week. Bugs have started to show up but mostly in my trap plants. Some caterpillars and aphids. Not much to worry about. Also I’ve got loads of green stink bugs. They’re starting to become a real problem for some of my bean plants, but not my cannabis. I’m hand picking them every time I see them, fast little things when they are young.
Ok so these are really showing how different they are, now they in full flower. The terp profiles are miles apart from one to another.
So I think these seeds are probably f3 seeds. I crossed Barney’s Farm Acapulco Gold with an amazing Mexican Male Plant. Then I grew 20 plants from that and crossed a few females with the best male from that generation. These that are growing now are from my favorite female of that gen. So I was expecting a lot of variation. I did pollinate all of these lightly so I’ll get some f4 seeds and might keep going on with one or two of these. I took clones too so I can make more seeds if I choose.
I only grow for my own medical needs. I’m not growing for yields or profits. I consume daily for medical reason, so I need a good yield of the right terpenoids, all coming together into something amazingly unique. That’s why I grow seeds now instead of clones. A lot of the medical dispensaries are selling pretty junk. They don’t understand, because it looks great they think it’s great. Maybe it smells great too but sometimes not. Anyway it’s all about those perfect profiles. They don’t know because they aren’t testing it on people like me. They test for THC but that’s not telling the full story. Anyway that’s why I grow my own seeds and a big thanks to Barney’s Farm, got some good genes in the pool. Also you need lots of seeds to find the good ones not just one seed. I started by ordering 1 seeds but the high cost and my location made it a necessity to produce my own. Plus it’s really easy. Sorry for the rant, just smoked a dab haha cheers.
Having some dry weather at the moment. I’m only watering this week. I’ll do some more KNF solutions if the weather permits otherwise just water. I’m harvesting some tomatoes and don’t have much time but I may brew some worm tea for next week.
I’m also going to start a greenhouse build for winter so lots on. There’s lots of sunshine so hopefully things really start to swell up a bit. Cheers.
Hey buddy.. If possible use a soft blue light at night simulate the moon.. Some hi end grow lights incorporate a night/dark time light.. If the container has drain holes don't worry about wet just don't water any more let it dry out and cold is good for some strands..especially flowering time
Have fun

@Bigbeans,..thanks and respect to you my friend. Yes mountain life different.. Day /night is real 🤔difference in temperature.. And when it rains oh man it pours.. I remember in jamaica.. Thunder storm in mountains causes major flooding at bottom of mountain.. At the bottom it's like a raging river.... Lots of people get washed away every year.. I almost did.. .. @JamMAKEcan, yes mate, I use the lights at night just to keep them in veg, where I live it’s really hot in the day but cool at night I’m high up in the mountains and in the tropics so plants just go straight into flower without the lights on at night, there’s always 11-13 hrs of night or day depending on time of year. I find if it dip much below 8c wet is not good. But now it’s 37c today and I’m more concerned with the heat, night temps are in the teens now and should be that way for the rest of the season so hope I’m good. I just separated everything today and added some more perlite to help with the drainage. Hope your grows go good mate, I seen you grew a tomato in the glades, that is impressive man, I lived in Tampa for a few years back in the day could only grow tomato in the winter haha. Bless mate happy growing 🌱🌱🌱
