Made the chop at the weekend. Trichs had been nearly entirely milky for a while now and barely any change to ambers. Plus the smell was starting to lessen so just went for it rather than overcook it. Considering this was a runt plant with loads of issues with lighting for the first half of the grow it’s yeilded a respectable 38g (wet). If the smoke is good, I have another Easy Bud seed and I’m confident with the better lights from the start and how this one has gone despite the issues it will get a great yield. I did notice that despite my soil being nearly 30-40% perlite that the roots were pretty crappy. Don’t know if that has held the plant back?

Getting some weird discolouring of leaves - is this nute issues? Or just natural plant die back near to harvest?

Check ph. I could be off and not allowing the plant to uptake calcium magnesium or iron. I had this issue when my ph pen was off.

Thanks both for the responses, much appreciated. I did switch from Bio grow to bio bloom only during flowers so you’ve probably nailed it on that mistake I’ve made. (It’s been a learning grow all round!). I don’t *think* it would be calcium deficiency as we’re in a very hard water area. @GrowingGrannie re:trichs are you looking in my diary or the photos in this question? The photos posted in the question are from some lower popcorn buds near the bad leaves. The upper buds I think are nearly ready. Most pistils brown and curled in, mostly cloudy trichs with a few ambers forming. Like I say a learning grow using LST and new lights for the first time - so not expecting much but looking forward to chopping and going again with everything I’ve learned and the great tips from people on here!

If you're going to add nitrogen to this grow, ONLY do it by adding some Tiger Bloom to your feed... it's got a small amount of nitrogen and I like to combine it with Big Bloom (having cut out Grow Big altogether). But I don't think that's your problem at all... I think it's calcium deficiency. And from the look of your trichs, you've got 3-4 more weeks to go so it IS something you should address. I'm not seeing any info on the PH level and so I would ask if you check this... They look like they could benefit from some calcium but I've not found any problem with calcium deficiency using your nutes (and they are exactly what I use)... Calcium is absorbed when the PH is between 6.2 and 7.0... outside that range, you can give it all the calcium in the world but the plant won't be able to get at it... so double check your PH. If it's in the right range, then you can add some calmag once a week... Fox Farms sells a good calmag.... but DEFINITELY check the PH of your solution when you add it because it does a number on the PH levels and you'll have to adjust... And btw, as far as PH is concerned, in order not to have any OTHER problems with nutes and micronutrients, try to keep your PH to 6.2 or 6.3... it is the "sweet spot" Good luck!

Hey there friend. Would you be alright with me offering some pointers? First off, Grab yourself a cheap timer & use it for your lights so you dont have any more opsies ! They help a ton & you can get good ones for very cost effective prices, Now moving on. So cannabis plants LOVE heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. In veg we want to take advantage of this fact to help our plants grow along much quicker and more vigorously. In veg we can look for temps of 79-84 MAX with lights on & no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for too much temperature swing between lights on and lights off while the plant is still growing vertically up to day 20 of flower, We will cause the plant to stretch ALOT which we do not want. So in veg & early flower, Keeping our temperature gaps nice and close between lights on and off is key. Utilizing humidity in our rooms during veg will also help out a lot with more rapid growth but we must introduce it properly. In our rooms we have our temperature and humidity set-points, But when we combine those 2 it forms a third set-point which is the most important & that is called VPD, Vapor pressure deficit. I strongly recommend every new grower or old grower who has not learned it yet, To study and understand it & implement it into your room, Logging your numbers daily. https://cerescann.com/importance-of-measuring-vpd/ For soil, We generally want to go for a PH of 6.1. This website does a GREAT job of illustrating it with a nice graph & very good detailed explanation for soil. https://autoflowerseedshop.com/cannabis-ph-chart-guide/ As we briefly touched on before, During veg & early flower we want our temperature gap's nice and tight to avoid stretch. Why exactly our plants stretch in response to this is a genetic trigger being activated by the environmental stress essentially telling the plant the end of the season is closer than it really is. In veg & early flower the plant is still in its first stage of development which is to grow up wide and tall so when it produces seed, It can cast them out nicely. Remember, Whether we are growing our plants for seed or bud their genetic responses do not change as they gh sidedo not know any different. Once the plant has finished that first stage of growth by weeks 4-6 of flower with most strains, It is by day 20 of flower. Autoflowers you have to watch for it, But once the plant has finished this goal its new mission is to focus 100% on producing nice big flower clusters & to get very sticky so it can attract pollen to it successfully. So once that vertical growth is finished, We actually now want to begin to expose our plants to larger temperature swings between lights on and lights off. This will help activate that genetic response and allow us to draw out the most potential from the strain utilizing the plants genetic triggers to environmental stresses at the right times. We can also take this a step further with doing light deprivation in the last 2 weeks using less light to simulate cloud cover. Very cold feed temps on the last flush is very good too. If you do not have them already, Get yourself a good PAR meter & thermal laser temp gun to monitor your plant top temperatures & optimize how much light your plants are getting. We are currently in the middle of producing a very comprehensive tutorial series for everybody to learn from & understand how to grow the highest level craft cannabis all on their own. If this interests you please check out our youtube and subscribe. The first 2 episodes are out the next one is coming in a few days. If you should ever have any questions or need any help, Please feel free to follow my profile and shoot me a DM. I will gladly help you with the pull down & make sure you get the best quality harvest possible as it is the most important step of the entire process. Good luck my friend!

@@Mr_Incognito, You will want to simulate cloud cover. In the big 200 light facility I managed you can see the diary of, We would dial the lights back to 25% for 2 hours, Then back up to the original % they where at for a hour, Then back down. You do not need to be this meticulous but you can implement something similar to great affect. What PAR you been feeding them on average right now ? Also its no problem this is my job & what my company is here for to help everybody that wants to learn how to grow craft cannabis. All I ask in return is follow my profile if you ever want to DM me for a direct question. Check out our youtube tutorial series episode 4 just went live. Our youtube is linked off my grow diaries main profile.

Guys, sorry for interfering here. @LegacyMarketFarm, thanks a lot for sharing such valuable info about temp gaps! Also deprivation of light is something I want to try from week 3 or 4 of flowering. I was advised to reduce the light 1 hr per week until harvest. So week 3 I will make 17 hrs, week 4 16 hrs, week 5 15 hrs, week 6 14 hrs. But I'm not sure which ppfd to give on the shorter days. Should I stick to my current 830-850 ppfd and decrease DLI or increase ppfd and keep about the same DLI? I don't want to spam here, you're welcome to answer in my diary comments section if you want. Your answer will be very appreciated! @Ottos_Jacket, great diary and a nice plant you have! It's quite small and you're not giving too much light at the moment. So I would be very careful with feeding at this stage. Probably your soil has all the nutes for one or two weeks more. Sorry again for interfering. Happy growing! 🙏
