Apr 27th - PH water 5.9, EC 0.2, Temp of water was 29C to puff up peat cubes, extra water was poured off after 15 minutes. seeds were then directly put into Peat Cubes. Plastic cover on and heat mat under tray. 24hrs seeds were popping
At 6 days old roots were showing all over peat cubes, didn't have the right kind or size of pots but decided to use clear drinking cups as that's what I had even though it wasn't a good choice for roots and light exposure,
Transplanted into some cloth and some plastic black pots, gave vitamin B before transplant to help with transplant shock. Going from peat base to coco coir. Runoff EC is same as input EC so hope this continues. June 1st they all got topped. Following VPD for vegetative growth. Should prune leaves and branches. Sprayed with 2 parts kelp 5 parts fulvic.
Did a bit more LST to try and open up plant and maintain a level canopy. Still feeding veg food with a little extra nitrogen. Noticed an overall yellowing which I hope the nitrogen fixes . Have been adding Calcium and magnesium to EC 0.3 but notice purple stems will bring Cal/mag up to EC 0.4 see if that helps. Transplanted into 3 Gallon and 5 Gallon cloth pots. Coco coir and perlite seems less messy than peat or pro mix.
Watering every night manually for 25 - 5 Gallon fabric pots is still a drag. When its a water night I bring EC up to 0.4 with cal/mag since I'm using RO water. Tonight I had a little feed water diluted so EC was 0.5 going in and run off was 0.7 EC. Gorilla glue lemon fire seems to need less food then the others. On a Feed night I'd like 0.9 or 900 -EC going in and not much difference in run off. Week 3 in Flower and today June 22 they are 50 days old.
Plants that are showing buds are getting a bit more phosphorous and plants that are behind and not showing are getting a bit more potassium. Watering once a day by hand. PH 6.0, Cal Mag to 03 EC, nutrients brought up to 1.2. Runoff PH 5.9, EC 1.0 & 1.1. Still tying branches down with florist tape and safety pins, seems to keep a level canopy. Keeping temp of canopy under 25 degrees. Added another 4 X 4 tray and another light, so running four 4 X 4 trays with 3 spider farmers on a light rail and 1 stationary spider farmer.
Pretty close that today July 19th the girls are 77 Days old. The Last Day of Week 6 in Flower. Man they should be bigger, bummer. Wedding Cake and White Widow have nice budlets and are the furthest along, the other's are lagging behind in development, another bummer. Some are a little overfed with a little tip burn and some are a little too yellow seemingly underfed. I think they look good considering they are in coco and are only getting water once a day. Watering is an issue since the well runs out depending how high the water table is a final bummer. Man I need to go roll to put on a happy face, definitely not a bummer. Good growing All💪
Looks like issues in the root zone. Test your runoff. I would bet the ph is in the 4.5-5 range. This will affect the uptake of nutrients the plants need in flower.
Plants are around 91 days old today. Although i've retarded them some the smell is amazing. Full skunky on! I'm glad I have a carbon filter exhausting outside. I think my manual once a day watering regime with coco coir isn't the greatest. I guess I am probably water stressing them and f***ing up the cation exchange but this is just a guess and I'm not sure about how that works. Happy growing all on Grow Diaries and beyond😎
Room is very fragrant, removing leaves to expose the buds. Some are a little underfed and some are a little overfeed. But the trichomes are very plentiful and the buds are coming along. Today Aug 14 their around 103 Days Old. Some plants are further along than others.
Well despite the "flush" controversy I am flushing and I noticed how much salts were in the medium while measuring the EC & PH of the run off. Not sure if it's a waste but have been PHing Input water to 6 and using molasses, yucca, enzymes and aminos, Input EC = 0.1. Output PH 6 EC 0.3. I'd like to get the run off to under EC 0.1. Leaves are fading to yellow. Room smells wonderfully skunky and orange variety is really orangey and lemon variety is really lemony so I am really smiley😀. Trichomes are cloudy on the buds with some amber. Some plants are further along, some plants should have more feed but I need the room and have cut them off (poor bastards) their getting flushed too. A couple more flushes I figure is all they'll get then chop chop.
Cut, hung for 7 days at 57% Humidity and 68 degrees, then reduced to 55% and 64 degrees for up to 2 weeks until stems snap, then mason jars and boveda with burping.
