As previously mentioned, lots of missing time unfortunately so here is a quick run down:
Solo cup growth was a bit small but I let her live in it for 3 weeks before transplant.
Transplants went off without any issues, added some mycorrhizae to the roots of course. Watered in well with 10ml EM1, LAB
Added 2 gallons to the reservoirs week 4
Did a top dress on week 5 with the following ingredients, essentially a Coot's mix with some extras. (Google Clackamas Coot if you're curious)
1/3 cup kelp meal, lobster meal, malted barley, karanja cake
1/2 cup basalt,
1/3 cup gypsum, Oyster Shell flower, bokashi, All Purpose
4 cups seaweed compost / watered in with 1/3rd gallon water and 10ml EM1, LAB,
All trimming are put back on top of the soil to decompose.
Doing some actual training this time and decided to go with a Nebula manifold for 8 tops.
Over the next few weeks, the large fan leaves were cut off to give light to the new tops and used a scrog to spread out the branching. It has since been removed, but will be re-added in flower.
I have a CO2 meter now and I was thrilled to find it sits around 550 ambient which is more than enough for veg. Light has been set at a height to allow 700PPFD (using Photone app on Android to measure) until the flip, possibly this Sunday.
I'm using the same soil from my previous grow so the soil life has had time to thrive, worms have multiplied and the microscope shows a lot of good activity.
She has strong smelling resin (more so than the Aurora) already and my hands are super sticky/waxy after trimmings and she's still in veg.
Overall much longer branching than the Aurora, with a thinner stalk. I'm pretty sure the purple stems are from the genetics and not a nutrient deficiency. Same ingredients as the other Earthbox, but I suppose she could be more demanding for P or K.....still I'm going with genetics.
@LastOpus, Thanks much=) Training is where the fun starts and if you have the time and patience you can make them any shape you want before going to flower. I'm still learning and in another few weeks I'm going to do a major leaf strip I've seen some folks do with good results.
HI NS Canna, love your plant, i am growing GMP also and i was wondering how you are getting such clear images of the trichomes? Is there a tool that you are using as i would also like to take these pictures. many thanks in advance for your help.😊
Hey great grow. Im running the same strain now its in drying process. Does this plant give off that hay smell for the first few days? Ive had experience where some strains have it and goes away after a few days ive also had it not go away, as well as delt with plants that never gave that smell off. Do you rmeber that happening to you with this strain. Its smelled great when chopped but the next day the hay smell came. Its been about 2 3 days and it still present. I get the sweet aroma when i crack into it still though. Also my environment in dryin room isnt ideal its at 70 degrees and 50% humidity i know 60 and 60 is preferred but i cant get the area down to that temp yet im waiting for the weather to cool down
