I thought there would have been more signs of flower by this time, since I started to spot white hairs on some of the plants in my garden. Those flowering plants are all on the west side of the bed though, which means they receive less light in the morning, so they sense less light hours which triggered them to flower little earlier than the rest. The Connoisseur genetics are on the other side of the bed and still not in flower, so this week definitely counts as the vegetation stage.
I've put a greenhouse structure around the bed of plants which I'm going to cover with an insect net this week, to protect against butterflies and moths depositing eggs in the young flowers, which would result in caterpillars eating up buds from the inside. Not sure if the structure is going to be high enough though, I might need to raise it. To help my chances, I've topped the highest tops of the SSSSC this week to keep the plants a little shorter.
Sieht super aus ich finde conoisseur genetics macht super genetic hatte noch nie solche Pflanzen die so schnell wachsen selbst die Mr. Nice Samen gehen nicht so ab viel Glรผck
Looks like you'll have some solid colas. Best of luck with the finish!
Btw- I've had good luck with using natural biotoxins to mitigate the issues with caterpillars. The moths will still lay the eggs but the larvae won't be able to eat the vegetation and quickly die before ravaging your plant.
@909grower, Mpoving forward, if you plant some species that those particular caterpillars/ moths target, nerby your crop, then those "dummy" plant5s will take the hit and not your ganja. I've found cruciferouse vegetables are much more desireable for these moths in my climate.
@909grower, I typically use a Thuricide concentrate. Was inroduced to me by my father-in-law, who's a former Agriculture professor, as an organic alterative to pest sprays for my vegetables. It's not toxic to humans and easily washes off. I wouldn't spray the flowers but most definitely good for the leaves. The thuricide prevents the larvae from being able to digest whatever they consume, and they eventually die of starvation soon after emerging from their eggs.
Nice job, plants look great. I have to mine in pots, would love to use a trellis. I still managed to do ok. Yes different strains show bud at different times. I think mine are starting the stretch. Well good luck
