I planted my seeds in four plastic cups and made a couple holes at the bottom of every cup and kept the cups in a warm and slightly wet environment. I transplanted my plants when they eventually developed the very first couple of leaves after cotyledons, but maybe was too early. maybe its better even to transplant directly in the final pot, but this year i wanted to try doing one more trasplant. lets see how it eventually turns
I think that this week the cold has done bad for my plants even if i put them indoors for the night, and plus also the stress coming from the transplant i think that made them to stop a bit from growing.
nothing good and nothing bad in particular, the only issue is that the night temperature is still too low even if i put the plant indoors, and they are growing veeeery slowly for now
now that the situation has established i can take them outside and in a few days start adding nutrients and maybe I will start with the mainling technique
On 04-29 I finally started giving them nutrients, and for the first time i used 2,5 ml of TerraGrow per liter. they seemed to be pleased and a couple days after, on 05-02, I topped both the Gelato and one of the W. Zkittlez. On 05-03 I topped the remaing plant
on 05-07 I added full-dose nutrients to my pots (5ml per liter this time) and between 05-09 and 05-11 I did the LST on all the plants. i dont know why one W.Zkittlez ist growing like the other plants, i thought that was a PH issue but, according to my PH tester, the Ph of the soil is 6,5 while in the other pots is 7, and this isnt a big difference. i will try to add a veeeery lil bit of baking soda to my irrigation water next time
On 05-18 I noticed a couple of aphids under the leaves of all the plants, so i used neem oil and i will reapply on 05-23. by the way, my plants are ready for the second topping and one of these days i will finally do it
on 05-21 i gave them nutrients and topped them. for now it seems that we got rid of the aphids, but on 05-23, i did LST on them and i used again a bit of neem oil, just in case some of the aphids I found past week is still here. Anyway, im a bit concerned about W.Zkittlez#4.. today, on 05-24 i measured the PH and seems its ok (6,7), and i dont know what's the problem with her. she has brighter and thinner leaves than the others, and is not growing properly. Also i think she has a poor radical system, in fact her pot is drying a lot slower than the other pots. i tried to make a few holes in W.Zkittlez#4's pot to ensure an airflow to the roots , perhaps this will help her to grow like the others
Why one of my plants has brighter and thinner leaves and keeps growing a lot slower than the others? i tried to accurately measure Ph in all the spots in the pot but its the same as the others. i gave her exactly the same treatment of her sisters, i wonder whats happening
Could be that something happened in the beggining when sprouting that could make a difference in how the roots of that plant developed in relation to others? Maybe more compact soil? If you would like to try something try making holes in the side of that pot...don't need a driller just a sharp knife, rotate it and patience. Sometimes more air in the pot could help solve what's wrong.
Now im giving them 1 liters of nutrients solution per week for each plant. Unfortunately i realized that the pots i was using were 25 liters, and i repotted #1,#2 and #3 in three brand new 30 liters pots. when transplanting the Gelato#1 i accindentally broke a branch, but it seems recovering well. I also topped all the plants and reapplied LST
on 6-02 i topped W.Zkittlez#4 wich now has 8 main colas, and on 6-06 finally i repotted her in a 30 liters pot just like the other plants. then on 6-07 i topped W.Zkittlez#3 and now that has 16 colas i can eventually Scrog her
on 6-08, when i was adjustin LST on all the plants, i accindentally broke off two branches from Gelato#1. i will try to duplicate the adjacent branches during these final period of vegetation. Anyway, on 6-09 i topped both the Gelatos and W.Zkittlez#4(needs one more topping next week). i will start scrog my plants when the new branches will grow enough to be tied to the scrog web
