Stella’s Trio

7/23/22 Today starts week 9 in the life cycle of Stella’s Cuatro. They’re moving up to the late bloom step 7 on my feed chart today, which is pretty much the same as step 6. Since it’s a new week, I’ll list everything out for you. Today each plant received half a gallon of water mixed with the following nutrients: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 3.8 ml FloraGro - 3.8 ml FloraBloom - 4.2 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml I mix 2 separate gallons with all the same nutrients for the 4 plants to share. #1 & 2 share one gallon, and #3 & 4 share the other. Gallon 1 had an initial pH of 6.1, and gallon 2 - 6.0. I added 2 ml of pH UP to each which adjusted them to 6.4, and 6.3 respectively. They are large plants, and all of them gave back enough runoff to measure except #3. She’s a stingy girl who likes to keep it all to herself. All kidding aside; you should want to get about 20% of your feeding solution back as runoff in a perfect world, but that would mean I would have to do so much more to give them more, and honestly I’m too lazy to do it. Nothing else to say except the truth. It’s all on me; the grower. They all look healthy, and all of them have started to fatten up their buds where it’s truly wonderful to look at them. Their bent branches tend to get in the way a lot, and make them want to sway, but they all stand up well on their own. The runoff pH was as follows: #1 & 2 had a pH of 5.6 #4 was 5.4 The tent was 83.7F, and humidity was 54%. I forgot to get an individual pic of #1 today, but I added a pic of all the plants in my big tent, and she is the plant in the front on the right side. Oh, I also had to bend 2 long/tall branches over today as well, so we did some High Stress Training (HST) today as well. Happy growing everyone! 7/25/22 Today was another feeding day for my Cuatro, and I also decided to start their last defoliation session before we get too far along. It took so long that I only got to 2 of the 4. All of them were fed, but only #1 & #2 got defoliated. It took a long time, but each of them look better for it. My hope is that the plants take the nutrients and use them to fatten up their buds and not for continued leaf growth. All of the leaves removed today were large, and most of them had stems and weren’t needed for bud growth. I hope. As with any stress put on the plants, it’s a waiting game to see how it responds afterward. Today each plant received half a gallon of fresh water mixed with the late bloom nutrients. They are the same as the 23rd, so look above if you’re curious. The initial pH for both gallons was 6.0. I added 2.5 ml’s of pH UP which adjusted them both to 6.5. They all gave back runoff today, which is nice since #3 didn’t give any back the other day. All 4 of them have pH levels lower than desired. #1 & 3 - 5.3 #2 - 5.5 #4 - 5.2 One generally wants their runoff pH to be between 5.5 and 6.2. They all look healthy so I’m not that worried about it right now. The tent temperature was 82.1F, and the humidity was 58%. In addition to defoliating #1 & 2 today, I tried rearranging their branches a bit too, but nothing drastic. Right now I’m happy about how they’re doing, and how they’re developing, so no real worries. Happy growing everyone! 7/27/22 Time to feed my Ladies again, and Stella’s Cuatro are happy to see me. At least I hope they are. I mixed 2 gallons of water and nutrients again today for each of my plants to share half a gallon each. They are still receiving the same level of nutrients, so I won’t list them again here in this note. After mixing the solutions up, they both had an initial pH of 6.0. I added 2.5 ml’s of pH UP to each gallon which adjusted them both to 6.4. All 4 plants gave back runoff to measure today, so that’s a plus. #1 & 3 - 5.2 #2 - 5.5 #4 - 5.3 The tent was 80.6F, and humidity was 55%. I wanted to defoliate #3 & 4 today, didn’t get the time to do it. Actually, after spending a bunch of time defoliating my Stella’s Duo yesterday, I’m not really upset about it. I’ll get to them soon enough. I’d like for the runoff pH to be somewhat higher, but none of the plants are looking bad or in any distress, so I’m not going to worry about it all that much. My garden is fine, and I hope yours is too. Happy growing everyone! 7/29/22 Today is a big day for my Cuatro. It’s the last day of week 9, but also the last day for the late bloom nutrients. Next feed day they’ll begin the ripening stage! Just 4 weeks left till harvest.😁 I didn’t take any full pics of the plants today. Instead, I took a couple of pictures of some of the buds on each plant. I also wanted to get #3 & 4 defoliated today, but I wasn’t in the mood to take all the time needed to do it. Normally I want to do it, and run out of time. However, today I had plenty of time and just didn’t want to do it. 🤷‍♂️ That’s life in a nutshell isn’t it. Today each of my ladies received half a gallon of late bloom nutrients mixed into 2 gallons of water as usual. The initial pH of gallon 1 was 5.9, and gallon 2 was 5.8. I added 3 ml, and 3.5 ml of pH UP respectively. This adjusted both of the gallons pH to 6.5. Each had sufficient runoff today. #1, 3, & 4 - 5.2 #2 - 5.5 The runoff pH levels have been low the past couple of weeks, but I haven’t noticed any deficiencies in any of the plants. They all continue to look and smell great. The tent was 82.6F, and humidity was 61%. Soon they will have more space in the tent, and then it will be time to harvest. I can’t wait!!
