So, I’ve come to the realization that the nice moniker of “Newbie”, “Apprentice”, “Master”, GrandMaster”, and “Guru” next to our names have absolutely NO meaning or value at all. It is NOT a sign of your growing, or gardening prowess, but basically a “Hey!! Look at me! Like me! Comment nothing useful on my page, but just a note to say hi!, or to drop a like!!” I personally know a grower on here that has owned a legal medical grow warehouse and grown hundreds of plants, and is a NEWBIE!! I’ve also seen a grower listed as a “Master” after only a single plant diary with 7 weeks of grow under their belts, but almost 4000 likes and comments. I came here to keep track of my personal grows, and to learn from people with more experience than myself. But if you ask a “Guru” for advice here, you may find out that they have less experience than you and have no idea what you’re talking about. I don’t care about popularity, so regardless of how many diaries I eventually have, or how awesome of a grower I eventually become; I am, and will most likely always remain, a Newbie. I’d like to see a more merit based system put in place. Give those statuses to the people that deserve it based on their knowledge and experience. Not because they can surf the website more and better than everyone else. I am NO ONE! A nobody. A Newbie. And I’m alright with that.
