Stella’s Trio

8/6/22 I got pushed back a day in the feeding of all my ladies because my wife returned from an extended trip. I got a little preoccupied with spending time with her, and hearing about her trip instead of feeding my girls. I don’t regret it either. My ladies are still doing well, and they are continuing the ripening stage of their nutrients. However, I ran into quite the hiccup! I ran out of my Dry KoolBloom powder the last feeding day, and haven’t even ordered or bought the replacement. Then, today I ran out of my FloraBloom nutrient as well. 😳 My ladies did not get their full strength nutrients today. I’ll list what they should have received, but I’ll put what they actually received in parenthesis. I mixed 2 gallons as usual, so we’ll have G1 for plants 1 & 2, and G2 for plants 3 & 4. G1 FloraMicro - 5 ml FloraBloom - 15 ml (12 ml) Floralicious Plus - 1 ml Dry KoolBloom - .5 tsp (0) Liquid KoolBloom - 0 (1 ml) G2 FloraMicro - 5 ml FloraBloom - 15 ml (11 ml) Floralicious Plus - 1 ml Dry KoolBloom - .5 tsp (0) Liquid KoolBloom - 0 (1 ml) I exchanged the Liquid KoolBloom for the Dry KoolBloom because it’s the only thing I have at this time. The initial pH for G1 was 6.0. G2 was 5.9. I added 2.5 ml’s of pH UP to G1, and 3 ml’s to G2. Both had a final pH of 6.4. I believe going an extra day without water and nutrients may have improved their root pH because all 4 of them were higher today than they have since around the middle of July. Their runoff pH were as follows: #1 - 5.6 #2 - 5.8 #3 - 6.0 #4 - 5.8 They looked a little dry and droopy as one may expect, but overall still healthy and developing their buds. They don’t look like they’re going to produce as much as their mother, but they still have a few weeks to fatten up. Their tent was 85.9F, and the humidity was 48%. I still need to defoliate # 3 & 4, but I’m sure I’ll eventually get to it. Happy growing everyone! 8/9/22 Today was a devastating and costly day in my grow room. I sit here writing this at the end of the day, and I’m heartbroken after looking back at what should have been a pleasant day. I learned a very valuable lesson today that I could have done without learning at all, but it is what it is. The lesson I learned was to leave all my anger and frustration outside my grow room. I was in the process of moving their mother out in order to start harvesting her. When I was trying to rearrange the plants within the tent, 2 of them (#3 & 4) refused to stay and stand up where I wanted them too. I wasn’t angry at them, but I allowed two plants to push me to a point where I snapped and just picked them both up in a clenched fist and just picked them right out of their pots and broke about every branch on them. My wife was helping me at the time, and she was not happy. I was not happy. Within 5 seconds I immediately regretted what I did, and I have no excuse for it. #4 was beyond salvaging and was cut up to harvest. It’s about 2.5 weeks early, but she should dry ok and give me plenty of smokable bud. However, her affects will be somewhat different from any of her sisters, or her mother. That may not be a terrible thing, but it is definitely not what I wanted. #3 may be saved, but so far it’s not looking good. My wife and I spent about an hour or more taping and taping and taping broken branches back together. She is so battered that she can’t even try to stand on her own and had to be tied up where her mother was earlier in the day. Her mother was tied up because she was too heavy to stand on her own, which is totally different and more acceptable. I totally expect to have to cut her up tomorrow in order to salvage what she has developed already. That is what happened in my grow room today. I lost control of my anger and probably cost myself two exceptional, and healthy plants. Right now the Cuatro is a Trio, and will most likely end up being a Duo. They each were fed the usual half gallon of water mixed with the ripen nutrients. FloraMicro - 5 ml FloraBloom - 15 ml Floralicious Plus - 1 ml Dry KoolBloom - 0.5 tsp I mixed 2 gallons as always. They both had initial pH’s of 5.6. I added 12 ml of pH UP to each gallon which adjusted them both to 6.5. The runoff for #3 was the exact same as the solution going in at 6.5. I believe this is due to the solution running right through the agitated soil after having been terribly mishandled. #1 was 5.9, and #2 was 6.0. #4 was chopped up for an early harvest. Their tent was 85.5F, and humidity was 47%. I am extremely embarrassed by my own behavior today, but it IS what happened in my diary, therefore I’m sharing it all with you. Growing is enjoyable, and normally makes me happy. Today however, was anything but happy in my grow room. I hope that happiness reigns supreme in each of your grow rooms. Happy growing everyone. 8/11/22 Today is feeding day for my Cuatro, that has sadly, and also happily become a Trio. If anyone is actually reading and paying attention to my diary, then you already know about my outburst the other day that cost me one plant, and potentially a second. The sad part is that #4 is already in pieces waiting to be trimmed still. But, and it’s still a little on the edge, but #3 looks like she may actually survive. That’s the happy part, but not exactly jumping for joy happy. #3 still has plenty of green leaves that appear to have been saved. Some may still die, but overall she looks like she may make it. I’m hopeful, yet still unbelievably sad and upset with myself. I only mixed one gallon today because half of the gallon used to feed #3 the other day was still left because I didn’t feed #4 because she was destroyed (by me). I ran into an issue that turned out to be not such a big issue. I ran out of pH UP today, and needed about 12 ml’s, but only had 4 ml’s left. I’ve already ordered more, and it should be delivered tomorrow or Saturday. Regardless, this is how today went. My girls are still in the ripening stage till this Saturday when they begin the flush. This is how the mixing went; they received: FloraMicro - 5 ml FloraBloom - 15 ml Floralicious Plus - 1 ml Dry KoolBloom - 0.5 tsp The initial pH was 5.5. I added 4 ml’s of pH UP which adjusted it to 6.0. I normally want it between 6.2 - 6.5, but 6.0 is all I could get today. The gallon from the other day given to #3 was 6.5. All 3 of my ladies gave back a good deal of runoff with the following pH levels: #1 - 5.3 #2 & 3 - 5.5 The tent was 82.6F with a humidity of 52%. I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 for #3.
