2046 - Medical Seeds

The_Doctor_Green Low temperatures make growth slow. The photos are from day to day from 5/29 to today 6/2. (I put it in a small pot on May 26, but I didn't remember to take photos until the 29th, sorry! 😅) I don't know if it's too early to move it to a slightly bigger pot; it's 1 week old and I don't want to ruin it, so suggestions are welcome, THANK YOU!

The_Doctor_Green Week 2 of vegetation, honestly it's not having the optimal conditions that a crop needs, due to lack of space it lacks ventilation, good lighting, (this is just for a few more days). On 03/06 I did the first transplant to a 7-liter pot. The lighting is very low, but still the seedling is growing, slow but it's on its way. 😁🤞

The_Doctor_Green During the week, it was transplanted into a larger 10-liter pot; previously, this 2046 was in a 5L pot. The growing conditions were improved in terms of temperature, lighting, humidity, and ventilation. It has been 2 days since the transplant, but the plant looks good, small but healthy. Since the transplant, it has only been watered with water to avoid mixing fertilizers (I last watered with the top crop line on 12/06). So, to start with the Advanced Nutrients products, as a precaution, I’m only watering with water. Starting from 18/06, I will begin using the Micro Grow and Bloom pH Perfect at 1ml per liter of water along with 1ml of Rhino per liter... and we'll see what happens. It's the first time I'm using these fertilizers, and I don't want to overdo it with the nutrients.

The_Doctor_Green It's been just over a week since I transplanted, and my plan is to move it to the final pot in the next few days, apply LST, and then continue with SCROG until I cover most of the surface. We'll see what happens 🤞🤞😅😅. On another note, I want to share my thoughts on the Advanced Nutrients that I started using last week. The change in the plant compared to other fertilizers was significant, and even without the entire line, at least in the vegetative stage, the changes are noticeable. 👏👏👏

The_Doctor_Green This week has been pretty stressful for the plant from the transplant to the pruning, as there have been some complications (one of the main branches broke while trying to bend it, but luckily it could be fixed). On top of all this, we have to add the transplant to its final 35-liter pot. Now we'll let it rest for a couple more days, and soon we'll be starting the flowering stage.

The_Doctor_Green This week was quite positive, it recovered from the transplant and the pruning. Soon I will start reducing the light hours so it can begin the flowering stage. The branch that broke managed to recover, I hope it can handle the weight of the bud in the future.🤞🤞😁😁

The_Doctor_Green This week, the pH and ppm levels went down. From 6.5 pH we dropped to 6.2, 6.3. And the ppm went from 700 to 1080. The base dose was increased from 2 ml/L to 3 ml/L. All these changes were made to improve the quality of the leaves; the tips are yellow, and I'm not sure if it's due to excess or deficiency caused by water quality. But overall, the first week of flowering is going very well; there are many more weeks ahead.

The_Doctor_Green This week was quite positive in the plant's development; the watering with a lower pH and the EC at optimal values managed to improve the color of the leaves a bit. Also, we added Big Bud to the nutrients we were watering with, so we'll see what happens over the next week. I think, overall, the plant is growing healthy. 🤞🤞😅

The_Doctor_Green At the end of week 3 of flowering, we added NIRVANA from Advanced Nutrients at 2ml per L to the nutrients we've been using. I removed some leaves on day 20, a few that were yellow and others that were covering some buds on the lower branches that I didn't take off. Some leaves have yellow tips, but I haven't noticed any negative changes yet. However, I can't figure out what problem it's having. But overall, everything is going well. 🤞🤞🚀🚀

The_Doctor_Green 4th week of flowering, with noticeable growth in the buds (the plant has stopped growing in "height" to start focusing on swelling the buds). The deterioration of the leaf tips hasn't progressed, thanks to lowering the pH of the water from 6.5 to 6.1. Next week, I'll reduce the Grow base from 3ml to 1ml to remove any possible excess nitrogen. We'll see what happens with these changes; there are many weeks ahead, but I think it's on the right track.

The_Doctor_Green In this new week of flowering (week 5), I added more water to the watering, to the point that it drains, which it didn't do before. I measured the EC coming out of the pot, and it was 900 ppm and the pH was 6. Still, the tips of the leaves are yellow and some leaves have taken on a slight purple color, and I don't know why. There are about 10 weeks left, and that color worries me because I don't know if it's excess or deficiency.

The_Doctor_Green In the summary of week 6 of flowering, I've lowered the nutrient dosage due to the unknown cause of the yellow tips and the purple color of the leaves. I've tried to contact the Medical Seeds bank but haven't had any luck. With the reduction of nutrients, the ppm levels have dropped to 700 and the pH of the watering was 6.3. We'll see what happens over the course of the next week. What I have noticed is the increase in the size of the buds as well as their aroma and resin; it has a sweet smell and is already starting to look quite resinous, even though there are still many weeks ahead.

The_Doctor_Green Week 7 of flowering with some modifications regarding watering (it was supposed to be watered today, but due to the outside humidity, I postponed the watering to tomorrow, aiming to avoid generating more humidity in the environment). The leaves, despite their purple color and yellow tips, look good; the older ones have turned completely yellow and are gradually falling off. The buds continue to load up with resin and are progressively increasing in size, and the aroma inside the tent is sweet and fruity.

The_Doctor_Green Week 8 of flowering, with high values in the watering drainage, the EC measured 1850 ppm and the pH was 6.7 (high values in my opinion), so to lower those values, next week I will only water with water until it normalizes. (Maybe by making those changes in the watering, the deterioration of the leaves will stop.) The buds keep getting loaded with resin and increasing in size, the aroma has started to become more noticeable, to the point that the smell reaches the front door. Overall, the plant is on the right track:🤞🤞🚀🚀

The_Doctor_Green Week 9 of flowering: The values in the drainage from watering remain high; the EC measured 1450 ppm and the pH was 6.8 (the ppm value only dropped slightly, and the pH has gone up by 1 point), so next week I will just lower the nutrient proportions even more. The buds continue to load up with resin and are increasing in size, and the aroma remains strong. For the drainage measurement, I watered with water that had a pH of 6.1 and ppm of 400; in the drainage, a pH of 6.8 and ppm of 1500 were measured. (High values and still about 7 weeks left)

The_Doctor_Green Week 10 of flowering: The values in the drainage from watering remain high, the EC measured 1650 ppm and the pH was 6.1 (lower pH value but not so much the ppm). The buds continue to load up with resin and are increasing in size, the aroma is rich, sweet, and fruity. The road ahead is long, but the plant is responding relatively well.

The_Doctor_Green In week 11 of flowering, we've only watered with water, no nutrients, to lower the EC of the substrate. The size of the buds is starting to be significant; just by touch, you can tell that the buds are nice and compact. These remaining weeks are going to feel eternal; I just want to cut her down 😅😅. The aroma inspires you to do it 🥷🥷🚀🚀.

The_Doctor_Green In this week 12 of flowering, we have lowered the ppm and pH levels... they are not at the most optimal values but have decreased considerably. Due to the high values, I've read that many times the leaves break very easily, and I could confirm that; in the photos, you can see some leaves like that. The nutrients in the waterings have been at the minimum values, this was an experiment since I don't want to keep over-fertilizing her, there are only a few weeks left and I don't want to ruin all the effort and time I dedicate to her. Several leaves have started turning yellow to the point of falling off, the pistils have begun to oxidize, all symptoms that we are reaching the final part of the cycle. (This week due to lack of time I may not have been so dedicated when taking photos, and maybe this week's diary looks a bit messy, I hope you understand) :-)

The_Doctor_Green In week 13 of flowering, I have removed some of the yellow leaves that were nestled between the buds, which are very compact by the way, and having gone through over-fertilization. The other leaves break easily, so you will see some leaves that are a bit torn, but the buds are doing well, they feel as hard as rocks 😅💪. Regarding the nutrients, I have reduced them to a minimum. According to the seed bank, it's 17 weeks of flowering (we're starting week 14), so it's almost time, I can't wait for that moment 😅😅🤞🤞🚀🚀🚀😎😎😎.

The_Doctor_Green In week 14 of flowering, the previous over-fertilization has become more noticeable, as the leaves continued their course and have become crispy and yellow, to the point that I've removed the yellow ones between the buds, to prevent mold or any fungus from ruining this long process. Therefore, the whole plant has almost no leaves left, which raises a lot of questions for me about how to proceed in these final weeks. I'm leaning towards starting with the root wash in the upcoming week 15, to then do the final cut in week 17, according to what the bank advises. (I usually give 2 more weeks of flowering, based on the recommendations from the bereber, although this time, I don't consider it possible). The formation of the famous fox tail has also been noticeable in some of the buds, (this is related to the stress that a plant suffers). Over-fertilization is considered stressful for a cannabis plant. In other cases, the fox tail is also a characteristic of some genetics. In the main photos of this genetic, you can observe these details, but well, everything is going to turn out fine✈️😎😅👺

The_Doctor_Green 10/21/22 day 105 of flowering and the day before the start of week 16.. In this week 15, I have removed quite a few yellow leaves, no additives were added. In the following week, I will start with the root wash using Flawless Finish from Advanced Nutrients, I will begin with 2ml per liter of water and let 20% of the irrigation drain, and when it dries, I will repeat this operation.

The_Doctor_Green This week I did a root wash with Flawless Finish (2ml per liter of water) on 2 occasions, then I continued with normal watering until the day of the harvest, which will be next week. It's practically leafless now.

The_Doctor_Green Finally, I completed another week of flowering (week 18). Based on the pistils, there are plenty of white ones and not so many oxidized ones, so I decided not to cut yet. (I’ve inspected the trichomes with magnifying glasses and they still need to mature a bit more, in my opinion), I will wait a little longer. I'm still just watering with water. These last few weeks, I've been a bit messy with the diary regarding images and dates, but this is mostly due to time constraints. (If anyone reading this diary knows of any job or is related to cannabis cultivation and needs a dedicated cannabis grower, keep this person in mind who is writing to you. 😉😁 Honestly, this passion drives me, but in my day-to-day life, it gets complicated to give the plants the thorough attention they need, but now you know! 😅😅🚀🚀😉😉

The_Doctor_Green Late in posting the summary for this week because I was already thinking of uploading the photos of the cut plant, but based on the color of the trichomes, this is indeed the last week. On 11/18/22, I will upload photos of the cut plant ready for curing. Nothing more will happen this week, then I will wait to upload the summary of the genetics. Returning to the topic of the plant, this week it was only watered with water, so the root wash was done perfectly.

The_Doctor_Green When I read the description of the strain, which says "it's a strain for expert growers," I didn't think it was that demanding. I tried to grow it as best as I could, and I also know it can turn out better. In my opinion, you shouldn't overdo it with the fertilizers; try to give it the minimum because it can get over-fertilized quickly. This and the long flowering period are the negative points of this genetics. You need to pay attention to the EC of the watering along with the pH, check the drainage to see how the plant is "eating" (I took a while to do this in this diary, and that's where I can say it lowered its quality), but later I'll do the review of the effect of this plant.
