I seem to have forgotten to take pics of Connie this week so instead we have more pics of Abigail the Almighty. Flourishing in the sub irrigated planter. Shes even outpacing the Bruce Banner I started at the same time in coco/perlite. I'm excited to see what these Ganja seeds can do, I have to admit I've been underwhelmed with the harvest weights I've been getting off autos, finicky little bitches that they are

Auto Gelato in soil, just moved outside about a week ago and she's loving it. I noticed some of her pistils have already started turning pink/orange at their tips. Is this normal?

Absolutely normal... wish MINE would start to turn! It just means you will be harvesting well before I do! No worries, mate.... grow looks great!

Auto Gelato from Ganja Farmer. Its day 58 and the trichomes are cloudy and the pistils are red/orange. The buds are beautiful and fragrant but still pretty small. Can she really be nearing harvest in less than 2 months? Is bud size typically lost in favour of speed with autos?

Autos are all I grow and I love them! But they CAN be troublesome, especially to growers who like to tinker with this, that and the other thing... for me, they're pretty straight forward... I agree with @Roberts in that you seem to have given it too much nitrogen in the flowering stage... they need a trace of it, certainly, but they really need a lot of potassium and phosphorus as this is what will boost bud development. Too much nitrogen in flowering can and often does cause a calcium lockout... but you have no problem with that deficiency so no worries! Just making a point. That being said, you have what you have.... I don't think you're quite ready yet as I'm not seeing any signs of fade in your plants... you might knock off any component of your nutes that has any nitrogen in it (your Maxibloom is the only one you're feeding them with nitrogen and it's got a lot) and run with that for a bit... As for the trichs, you'll want to see about 10-20% turn amber before you harvest so you might have another week or two if they're all milky at the moment. Don't wait much longer... the more amber they get, the less THC they'll have and the more disappointing your smoke... Good luck!

@Mancdad, As long as she continues to just eat trimmed stems and leaves it's all good lol

Very nice big plant and I like your dogs. The trichomes in week 10 were still pretty clear suggesting that you chopped her a bit too early. A lot of the bud weight happens in the last few weeks as well the potency which mainly happens under direct sunlight. Outdoor always takes longer than indoor plants, and I find the final change from cloudy toward amber takes a really long time here. Most plants need at least six weeks of flowering and it’s usually more like 8-10 weeks here outdoors. Cheers.
