Starting the 2022 Outdoor grow season indoors. Hopefully this first batch of seedlings will turn into a good mid season harvest before the photo period grow takes off. Always nice to have something flowering and am real interested in how the Sunshine Pine turns out as its a new smoke for me 😁
Moving the Autos outside now that daytime temps are above 15C and night time is above freezing. The Promix, Soil combo has worked well enough that no nutes and very little water have been needed.
Four out of four AK-47 made it to flower and only 1 of the Sunshine Pine. The AK-47 range from 24 to 36 inches and have gained some great colour in the cool weather. Even with soil I've needed to water and feed twice with 50% nutes The flowering rate amongst the AK-47 seems to differ by a couple weeks and the remaining Sunshine Pine is only into week 2 of flower. But the Sunshine Pine is the biggest Auto I've grown. Currently 4 feet with probably another foot to go before finish. Big fan leaves and a real pine tree shape. 😁
Great week of heat and growth!
The AK-47 range from 18" in height to 36" and the flowers are 2 to 5 week old. The differences appear to be related mostly to pot size - bigger pot, bigger plant 😁.
The Sunshine pine flowers are only 2 weeks old and the plant has stretched to 52". This Auto has exceeded my 48" White Widow from the Bush Grow Diary and could bring in 4 to 8oz easily if it makes it to maturity.
All still good'
Defoliated three of the AK47 as they're getting close to the finish. The flowers on the 3 are purple from the cold spring nights. The fourth AK47 was behind the others and not flowering on the cold nights. It's grown significantly larger than the other 3 but it's flowers are bright green, same smell but totally different look. The flowers are dense on all 4 AK47 and look like they should yield about a half pound in total.
The sole Sunshine Pine has stretch to 60 inches in height and looks to be about 3 weeks into flower and a long way to go. I've maxed the nutes on this one and if lucky, and she makes it to the end I could see another half pound. Here's hoping 😁
The AK47 are in the last couple weeks of their advertised lifespan. Three are pretty much done now with mostly opaque and a few amber thrichomes. I brought them all inside to avoid the bad weather and the fourth AK47 remains green and untouched by cold with probably another couple weeks to go. Heavy sweet and sour smell, won't be long now. 😁
Apparently the Sunshine Pine, which I'm worried isn't flowering normally, finishes in Aug in this region. So it's looking for a long flower time but I didn't plan the pot for a 6 foot plant, we'll see if I can keep it going. 😁
RIP Sunshine Pine. Turns out it bolted and locked out, I can see it in the abnormal leaf formation and complete lack of growth. Started this grow with 4 Sunshine Pine and 4 AK47.
Sunshine Pine: 0 for 4
AK47: 4 for 4,
One harvested and 2 more this week and the green one looks like it needs another week. Dense flowers look and smell tremendous 😁
Jun 28 - Added some pics of the largest AK47, still bright green and the flowers are heavy. The other 3 purple AK47 are done and harvest is a go 😁
Started with 4 seedlings, one didn't germinate, two were male, and the last one bolted and locked out. This "feminized" seeds should have been an easy grow but instead were a disaster and waste of time. The only plus was a few seeds on the earliet flowering AK47. Might make for an interesting hybrid. 😁
These were great Autos to grow and gave me an early first harvest just as I had hoped. These Autos flowers are reasonably dense, giving higher yield and more trichomes than past Autos I've grown but they still don't come close to a photo period plant's ability to produce.
Great strain to grow for a quick easy crop. Looks like I'll get between 8 and 10oz of pretty good flower. Smells great and it's reasonably dense and sticky. Three of the plants flowered ahead of the fourth, turned purple in the early spring cold and were harvested on day 84, maturing as advertised between 11 and 13 weeks. The fourth plant flowered later, missed the cold, remained green and grew twice the size of the others. Harvest was day 91.
Got a few seeds off one plant that have to be Sunshine Pine hybrids which should make for an interesting new grow down the road. But for now, it's time to concentrate on the Outdoor 2022 photo period grow. 😁
@Scandinavia, 60 grams and I;m expecting over half a pound across the 4 of them as the last one is larger than the other three. Great fun to grow but I find nothing beats a long photo period veg and flower.
