This is about 1 week from germination/transplant. My idea behind this grow is I want to compare a modern cookie poly-hybrid clone to a pure African sativa from seed so off we go! The Zamaldelica seeds I purchased came with some auto flower freebies so I added one of the fog dogs to another 5 Gallon pot I had laying around and now I'm excited to see the comparison to an auto flower as well. My guess is each harvest will be staggered apart by a month: Autoflower in late august, then Slurty3 in late September, then the Zamaldelica in late October or early November. I ran into some issues with the first 2 seeds I got from the pack, the first was eaten outside just after sprouting and the second was attacked by my cat while starting indoors therefore I added the chickenwire cage to hopefully protect the seedlings while they're still getting started. This was the last seed of the pack so fingers crossed they'll survive until they're big enough to not have issues

Garden is looking good! The Slurty has just begun flower while the Zamaldelica looks to have a ways to go so I gave it a topping so it can bush out in the meantime. The FogDog auto sadly got killed pretty early on so its down to the two photoperiods. Im guessing that the Slurty3 will finish in mid september while the Zamaldelica will finish at the start of November.

Plants are looking decent. The Zamaldelica is really starting to grow and has almost caught up to the Slurty3. The Slurty3 is just starting to flower and looks overall okay although a lot of the leaf tips in the upper canopy have a weird purpling/yellowing on the leaf tips.

Grow Questions

Im experiencing yellowing/purpling on upper canopy leaftips of my outdoor organic cannabis plant in week 2 flower. I'm feeding via compost+dry amendments so over/underfeeding is unlikely. What might be the cause? nutrient lockout? Relatively low temperature (57-75F)? pests?

@420pete Hot soil ie a little too strong for them has caused those leaf tips yellowing the purpling of the leaves is directly from cold overnight temps ( I know bcoz I have plants outside at the moment doing same thing) There does look to be some nutritional deficiencies as well mainly calcium and magnesium probably iron is the ph in range 6.3-6.6 ? any lower or higher won't allow optimal uptake Any more questions feel to pm me and good luck mate

Looking solid. I only see these plants every couple weeks so its exciting to come back and see lots of growth. The slurty3 is progressing along nicely in flower and has probably 4 or 5 more weeks to go and is putting on some nice color. The Zamaldelica has just started stretching and will begin filling in with pistils this next week or two. I have a feeling its gonna reach over 6 feet by the time the stretch is over. The Zamal is a tropical Sativa so I'm not expecting this one to be done until mid November haha

The plants are looking decent! The Slurty3 will be ready for harvest in a week and is fading very rapidly. I found a few spots of mold on her which I removed but hopefully the rest is salvageable. The Zamaldelica is looking great, she's stacking up nicely and the buds are just beginning to fill in so I doubt she'll be ready until the start of November at the earliest.

Harvested the Slurty3 and the zamaldelica is coming along nicely. Had to deal with some issues of mold on the slurty3 but otherwise its looking and smelling good kinda like rotten fruit and candy. The Zamal is starting to turn pretty yellow, although looks as though the buds could go another month. I think the soils pretty low on nutrients so I amended and watered and hopefully she'll recover and make it to November for harvest.

Ok so I really wanted this plant to make it to the end of October if not beginning of November but I'm bringing it down tomorrow as its getting effected by bud rot and just about out of nutrition. Should still be decent though as buds are mostly formed an some hairs have turned brown, just would be ideal in like 2 weeks haha
