Germinated in water and placed in contact lens holder (3 days). Placed each directly into hydroton in a 1 gallon Kratky grow till they get larger. Lighter colored seedling may not make it. Update: Lighter seed didn't make it, this will be a one plant grow.

Fans are very wide at 9-10" lengths, 7 leaflets per fan. I'm questioning the 70% sativa side of this girl; it appears just the opposite of a sativa, maybe 70% Indica. On 4/24 she's was taken out of the space bucket system due to outgrowing the container.

Continued calcium hypochlorite treatments have turned the tide. She had a rough go and with all the shit I did to her, removing the above and below grow trying to balance her while she recovers was hard on her. Super cropping, topped main, removed large fans and cut the roots due to pythium. Wow, what a set back!

So this root rot was a 3 week setback, I didn't change the reservoir enough. Currently making 7-10 day reservoir changes and adding 1 ml of Southern AG Garden Friendly Fungicide (SAGFF) every 4-5 days. I think she'll pull through. The 1" visitor was found on my lampshade and not in the grow room; must have been a hitchhiker, he/she was released back into the great outdoors where it can do some good and grow up!

It's been almost a month with the root rot set back, now under control this has been the best week to date. Nutrient temps have increase a bit, nothing I can do about it 😐 Changing nutrients every 7-10 days with a 1 ml addition of SAGFF, additional 1 ml SAGFF treatments every 4-5 days. Defoliation with LST and more HST hasn't slowed her down much. I'm not concerned with increasing production speed, but allowing her to become what she should have been pre-pythium. I believe she's on her way to do it, I defoliated twice this week. She's not generating the 10" fans anymore (prior do the disease), the pythium hasn't disappeared, it's simply being kept in check. She needs an increase in node spacing so I don't need to defoliate as often. Over-all, this was a very good week! 😀

This week was defoliation defoliation and defoliation! I topped this girl once early on in the grow and wished I'd have never done it, she wants to be and stay a small shrub. Of course this dwarfism could be because of the pythium and calcium hypochlorite treatments she received and or simply genetics. She's 3-4 weeks behind due to the pythium and rebuilding of the root zone, so I'll provide two more weeks of veg and flip her. Everything's on point and the roots look good, still running the SAGFF every 5 days, at the reservoir change and midway through. I'm building a new DWC hydro system; stacked buckets with an air infused pump, maybe not on this girl but we'll see. Thanks for hanging around 😎

Why so long in veg and so small of plant you may ask? Keep in mind, this girl had some bad pythium, which took a month to recover and come back to normalcy. I've added a self leveling reservoir which stays 1" below the netpot 100% of the time. Roots are staying in check, without pythium adding 1 mil SAG every 5-10 days. I pruned her hard, taking 2/3 off and leaving the top 3 nodes on branches. She had two defoliations and one hard pruning this week, wow! Flipping to flower this next week, we'll see how much she stretches. Branches aren't as thick as I'd like, I hope it not a sign of her bud size. 100 watt light's at 100%, I'll probably be adding a 60 watt blurple light during flower.

So far so good on the pythium recovery of the roots laying her out for a month, I'm surprised she made it. This week was busy for the girl growth wise; she received some Kyle Kushman chiropractic care on the two main branches made from topping her once earlier in her life. Light was switched early in the week to 12/12. She stretched 8" this week, I'm looking for another 6-8" this coming week. I've added a extra 100W LED lamp due to her spread, she's now 32"W x 32"W and 26"H. While doing a bit of LST and moving her branches I received hints of what may be in store for this girl; pure pine, pine all over my hands from doing the chiropractic technique 😋. We'll start seeing some flowers soon, stay tuned and thanks for hanging with this girl!

Total stretch over two weeks went from 18" to 32"; just another 4" and she would've doubled her total height (she's currently 32" x 32" x 32"). I think the stretch is finished other than florescence height, I hope it's finished! I should've reined her in by switching to flower sooner; how was I to know, I've never grown this cultivar and I didn't realize she'd double her size. I guess the pythium threw me off with her recuperating time, I gave her an extra month in veg. I've added an extra 100 watt light due to her canopy size, she's simply outgrown one panel LED which I normally use. It's a good thing I added the extra 5 gal reservoir, because she's sucking down nutrient solution quickly (.75 gal daily). The dual over/under bucket system (8.5 usable gallons) will come in handy on my extended 4th of July weekend. She's started visible flowering, I hope her stem size bulks. I'll need to secure the 3" netpot to the lid with a hot glue gun due to it being top heavy and get some branch securing lines rigged from above. Till next week, enjoy growing!

Post 4th of July trip, water parameters have been so so. The pythium keeps dropping the pH out of range, not much to do except maintaining and hopefully she'll snap out of it. I've been using SAGFF continually in this grow and squirting it on the roots, a diluted milliliter every 4-5 days. Flowers are still looking pretty good considering.

pH has been hard to get into control due to the return of the pythium, it keeps dropping due to the dead organic matter. Not much to do other than keep the environmentals correct and hang on!

Nothing changed, attempting to control the pythium. The pH is rising and the solution is dropping about .7 gal per day, the flowers are plumping 😀 outward a bit.

Everything the same, pH increasing and the solutions dropping (good things). Pythium's still a problem, but mostly in check due to SAG. Maybe 3 weeks remaining, TBD. 😅

Pythium continues, SAGFF treatment continues, nutrient buildup problems, full nutrient change EC to 2000. She's still throwing tons of new pistils on most buds, so when harvest does finally arrive I may harvest over a couple weeks. The budz are getting larger and heavier, the branches have turned purple and are weaker than a more dominant Indica. I wished I never super-cropped this girl due to the stems being thinner and weaker, may also have something to due with the pythium. The humidity is low, but I'm not letting my guard down to the dreaded Botrytis. I've had bud rot in this closet, I know the spores are there due to carpeting. I think Botrytis Cinerea (bud rot) could be relational to pythium in a secondary stage, however there's no scientific evidence that I know showing it. If you know otherwise, please point me into the right direction. Cheers to another week down and another fresh week starting!

Pretty much the same as prior week, but extending harvest out another two weeks (80-84 flower days). My guess in two more weeks she'll have lost all the sugar leaves due to cannibalizing. I didn't add any nutrients this week due to the full change on the 2nd. I'll be doing one more full nutrient change on the 12th and adding a blurple light helping her to the finish line. Cheers to another week down!

Her roots are in really bad shape with 75% mish mash mush and being this late in the game she's not interested in repairing roots. I couldn't repair the roots anyway; she's just too large to handle and all those wires are securing the plant from toppling over. It's hard enough just getting nutrients to her, I'd definitely do more damage than good if attempted. If peroxide and SAG won't fix it, it's simply not happening. Hopefully this means she'll force every bit of energy into flower development and continue plumping up! This is the only time we want females to plump up, guys am I right! How many guys say come on baby please add another 25 lbs. to your arss & belly! Lol! Same olé thing happening otherwise; trichomes are building with a little fogginess 80%, but not enough to chop. I'm venting her into the attic, her aroma is only noticeable when you first walk into the house or open the closet door where she's located. I usually smell plants this late into flower when I get anywhere near the house. Her aroma is that of a light fruity/citrus smell, nothing very heavy, it's something which should be bottled for your lady friend. Cheers everyone, thanks for hanging out in the garden with us 👽😎

Keep a close eye out for bud rot while drying these tight buds; the larger buds can become susceptible to mold, I lost 4 of the largest colas because I wasn't paying close enough attention. Terpenes are typical, she'll get bagged in halves and vacuum sealed 😎. It's very smooth, not harsh in the least, a real pleasure to smoke. It creeps up on you in 15 minutes so take it slow, low and slow, because this high stays with you for a few hours 😁

Had to harvest early due to the pythium and a second heavy H2O2 treatment, which knocked her for a loop. You can see the lower buds survived the H2O2 treatment and are continuing trichome development, but the majority of the buds in the upper branches where shut down. I'm actually surprised I was able to get this far due to the continued pythium battle. Flowers turned out smaller than expected, lots of popcorn sized buds, guess it's good due to the stems being really skinny and her getting super-cropped. 90% of the plant's still drying. Aroma throughout the grow has been very mild, kept the ventilation fans at half speed. I'll post total weight post harvest and after the complete drying the plant in another two weeks. Damn, I'll be happy when this grow is over 😀 it's been a real bxxch! Thanks for chilling with us, cheers 😎

Hi friend, when you add your nutrients do you supplement PK or CalMag? In hydro if you ask me it's a must no matter what base nutrients brand you use...the burned leaves look a lot like PK deficiency 🤔

@Metatronix, Who do you watch on YT? I added some booster N15-P30-K-15, it should get me by for a little while.

Metatronixcommented2 years ago
@Ringo, LED fixtures tend to excrete from the plant the Cal-Mag also for DWC it's a must. My Guru i observe on the YT always stresses the importance of supplementing PK in flower stage...before I used only Cal-Mag but since I also use PK my plants look much better.
